1st off my props to "leadboots72" for the basis of this tune for the B spec nascar.

Just to note make sure that your "Bob" is either neutral or on an upward state of mind before you run these. if not he just drives like a total tard.

Any wys I used leadboots72's basics and added some Downforce modifications and gear box as well on a couple races.

Unfortanately you have to"coach" bob no matter your settings but these will help especially on those races where tire wear is a concern( I had no issuse here as long as you keep bob under control.

Suspension:

Ride Height- F+15, R-15
Spring- F 18.4, R 18.5
Dampers(both ext and comp) F8 R8
anti-roll bars F6 R6
Camber F 0.5 R 0.5
toe angle F 0.0 R 0.2

Gear ratios by race, both A and B-spec:

Race 1: Indy, All assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph. Downforce F/R 40/60

Race 2: Grand Valley, Traction control 1, ABS 10, Skid recovery force on, Gear ratio at 193 mph Downforce F/R 40/60

Race 3: High Speed Ring, Traction control 1, ABS 10 Skid recovery force ON,
Gear Ratio at 211 mph Downforce F/R 35/55

Race 4: Laguna Seca, Traction Control 1, ABS 10, Skid Recovery Force ON,
Gear Ratio at 162 mph Downforce F/R 45/70

Race 5: Daytona, All Assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 236 mph. Stay low the entire race. Do not allow them to draft you! Downforce F/R 30/40

Let me know what you people think:sly:

Hope this helps. VERY frustrating race, but with these settings I won every race by at least 5 seconds.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I normally do my own tuning but Nascar seemed to be my Achilles Heal.

For those having problems with Grand Valley i discovered a little trick. Coach your Bob so that he stays at the back of the pack until the third last lap (it is important not to fall behind, just be at tha back). Just before this lap, pit in and change your tires, then spam the Increase Pace button. Your bob will (realitive to his opponents) fly around the track, as he has full tyres and his opponants will be skidding all over the track. You will EASILY regain the 30-40 seconds between you and first. I passed first on the third turn of the last lap, and won with a 5 second victory.

It is also worth noting that when i did this, i was using the config above, paying particular attention to the aerodynamic settings that are on a per-race basis.

Hope this helps.

I cant set any assists on b-spec?

edit: just saw it says bot A-spec and B-spec. Currently doing the first one... i'll tell you how it goes.

Race 1

No problem at all, won by 11,942 seconds. Almost caught up on the last guy. about 0,5 seconds away from lapping him.

B. Bob 100
B. Becker 75

Race 2

Came 2nd in this one. 0.241 seconds behind the winner. At first my Bob didnt want to overtake any car. Even when they did mistakes, he braked down and let them have their place. I got stuck in 3rd place for a long time. When 2nd finally spun out and i could start the chase for the lead, 1½ lap to go. On the last lap I took the lead in the beginning of the lap. But then Bob thought he was the Drift King and started sliding in the corners so Becker past me again and I never had the chance to overtake him again. Bob shows too much respect for the opponents :(.

B. Bob 175
B. Becker 175

Race 3

Took a while to get to first place and then Becker was literally in my rear bumper for a lap or two. But Bob managed to get away from his drafting line and win the race by a few seconds. This is tight, Race 4 will be very important.

B. Bob 275
B. Becker 250

Race 4

Got stuck on third, wasn't even close to overtaking anymore. :( Becker got 2nd. Everything is up to the last race now.

B. Bob 335
B. Becker 325

Screwed up, forgot to change settings before race 5 :(

i won the a-spec with ease. stock settings for indy, all aids off. max downforce, lower gearing, and the aids back on, (tc-5, mild steering assist, abs-1) is all i needed to win the 3 road coarses and back to stock settings and no aids for daytona.

but my b-spec bob cant seem to get anywhere on the 3 road coarse's.

ill try your settings and seehow it goes! thanks

Hi All

Tks for the tune, managed to win the championship, not without doing my best to muck it up myself though.

Didn't read the full thread but decided to pit of my own accord in race 2 (I'd done this before) but I left it a lap to late, defininately follow the tip above and pit on lap 5 (anyone brave enough to try lap 4?)

Then managed to accidentally pit on lap 6 of the speedway race while 4th, managed to get back up to 4th but would have one it but for that.

I ran my suspension settings lower at the front than mentioned here, apart from that it was a winner for me in B-Spec with my lvl 23 Bob

Tks Again

Thanks for the great setup. I tried it on the first race of the nascar championship on B spec and my driver got first place by 12 seconds. I had to increase pace when it looked like the other cars were catching up but it wasn't very often. Before this the best he could get was 8th so it works great.

Stupid bob decided to take a second pit stop on valley... Still came in 9th though surprisingly...

Really? that' surprising when i did it i don't think my tires got to half worn & i got the lead on the 5th or 6th lap i believe,

is your bob in a neutral or upward state?

I use a cool tempered bob as well

Iv'e won the championship in B-spec now so thanks again for the tune. My bob has trouble with grand valley too in the actual championship I tried what was mentioned above , pitting in at 3 laps to go and then increasing pace , and all it did was make bob slide everywhere so by the last lap his tyres were totally worn out :lol:. He got 1st in all others though so I still won the championship , I tried again on the single race with a different bob but let him decide when to pit in which he did but still could only manage 8th. It seems that the other cars don't pit in so they must not wear their tyres down as much. I have a cool tempered bob so i will give him a try and let you know how it goes.

My Lv23 BoB wrapped up the CC easily winning the first 4 races using the above settings - he's an Ice Cool one though and was very easy on the tyres and didnt need to pit, although at Laguna he got spun and drove from last to the lead in 4 laps.

Was so proud of him it brought a tear to my eye :D

1st race B-Spec won easy, second race: tyres fully red by last lap, driver spun out went from 2nd to last. Left championship, deleted driver.

Tbh, the settings were really good, my level 21 driver just felt like drifting for some reason, i wish i saved the replay

Pit in lap 5. It works. Honestly :)

Thanks for the car setup , it rly works , bob was tired , the orange downward thingy on him , he's lvl18 and he won each race with gold trophies , i did not pit in in any of the races , just go easy with bob and u 'll win the championship easily .

Excellent setup by the way (appart from the gearing was too low for me, my nascars running 892hp)

This worked well, for me, my championship:

INDY:
easy win by 15 secs

Grand Valley:
used your strategy got 3rd (only because seconds spun infront of bob and bob got stuck for 5 secs) otherwise would have won (gearing needs raising one more tick here my car was maxing out even without a slip)

High Speed Ring: won by 10 seconds, tough first 4 laps but kept him increasing pace for first 9 laps and the gap he opened up was huge

Laguna Seca: Bob won by 23 secs, keep pushing him for the first 6/10 laps untill he starts to slide then back off down to between med and hot he runs high 1:30's to 1:32.1 was my slowest lap. (gearing was way too low here one maybe two ticks higher at least for me)

Championship won already bob = 360 points, second = 230 points

Daytona: The setup and gears work perfect for this went afk on lap 10, 20 seconds ahead, came back and he had won.

My bobs medium-hot and i started him with the blue arrow now on neutral seems to be driving fine (level 21) the top 3 is different every race so its not really a contest atm:crazy:

I won B Spec Nascar with all gold and other than time (it took 4.5 hours) it was easy.

I used a tune I found on here somewhere. This is it:

* Keep oil changed
* buy the body reinforcement
* Aero: 20/40 (front first here and below)
* trans: 236 if no draft, 249 if draft
* Drivetrain: 60/60/15
* Suspention: Height: 15/15
* Springs 18.5/18.5
* Damp Ext: 8/6
* Damp comp: 8/6
* roll: 7/6
* camber: 4.5/3.5
* Toein -0.05/0.30

"Tracks better on a full tank of gas"

I used the #88 Dale E Jr Impala, but I think any of them will be the same.

I pitted once a race at about 10 laps before the end.
Watch you driver and instruct him like 2x a lap. I had to tell mine to speed up twice a lap.
If you SEE rain at the start of the race, set it to rain tires.

I have yet to get the A Spec in this, but the B spec was easy once I got all the settings right. I even used my 'rookie' driver :)

That would be bizarre... they don't race Nascar in the rain, in real life. :confused:

Managed to get a 1st, 3rd, 1st, 1st and 1st with this tune... hit a laggy moment in Grand Valley (which really do my head in), and instead of hitting Increase Pace heading onto the start straight, I ended up hitting Pit In instead... on lap 4. Almost got it back, but was about 3 seconds behind the leader at the end.

LOL! Don't tell me that. I don't follow NASCAR, good thing, it'd only confuse me. :ill: :dunce: :)

First of all, thanks for all the settings above..
I live in Europe and we hate nascar so i don't know allot about it..

The only changes i didn't make was the downforce (kept it at max) and you springrate front +15?? Just kept that at -15

It really helped me allot, also on laguna seca!!

Won everything with gold, gold, gold, gold, gold..
What else could i wish for?

THNX

Thanks fletch4x!

Your tune up really kick ass. Won easily races 1, 3, 4 and 5. Made huge mistake by putting SPORT tyres in race 2 and came last. Still won the championship :D

I only had to increase pace few times per lap but nothing more.
