Having NASCAR trouble??

Op, thank you so much for such a great tune! When I tried racing with the untuned Camry, it was hopeless to finish Grand Valley. I would turn back and smash all the AI cars. Then give up and move on to endurance races. Today after using your tune, I finished the series. It felt so at home racing in the High Speed Ring , it felt like vengance time. I managed to lead by 8.3 secs. This is the only track that I feel too confident with this car. Again, thank you so much for providing such a great tune and Happy New Year!

amazing!! absolutely amazing!!!
before i see ur tune nascar was hopeless for me. i used to get gold on first race but then second race :s but now after ur tune i beat the second race by 11 seconds!!!

im looking forward to see ur tune for F1 championship :)

abt the B-spec: my bob got gold in all races from first attempt, no change in tune

Wow i won lugana by 12.599! Almost 7:00 min flat 7:00:59. Dind't win other by 9 but enuff they were outa draft range. Now *gulp*,Daytona, well maybe i was to nervouse as fate would have got bumbped around & spun out.Alas still won champ as i was 175 pts in the lead. Oh btw i have another stragedy for the road courases. Soft front, medium rear. max D.F F&R.

so, i've started the championship in A-Spec, with my 2010 Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88 Impala . i've only changed the oil when i won it, then i have done 21km with it and then changed the oil again (before the champioship) and the car as 879hp.

1st race: finished 1st with -14.544 (just slow down to 280km/h to make the turns, easy as pie)

2nd race: in the end of the 1st lap i was in 3rd, (lost control in 1st turn to last place, and lost control in the sharp corner to the tunnel getting to 8th place, both ending up in the sand), then in the 1st turn of the 2nd lap i got in 1st place :) finished 1st with -16.694

3rd race: end of 1st turn = 1st place, finished 1st with -13.590

4th race: end of 3rd turn = 1st place, the AI drivers break almost to 0km/h in the last corner, so you get a lot of time with that turn, finished 1st with -21.510

5th race: guess what? Last place... Yes... i make it to 1st place in the 1st lap, but they will manage to get you by the 2nd lap, then in the begining of the 4th lap, one of the ***k*ng idiots made me spin, i have managed to get right away in the right direction, but i have slowed down to 200km/h... i have managed to recover 0.200 per lap, but it's not enought as the car only gets to 360km/h. finished with +2.787
SO ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS: ATENTION TO THE AI DRIVERS AS THEY WILL NOT GET OUT OF THE DRIVING LINE, THEY WILL KICK YOUR A**...

2nd try of the 5th race: I have made the gear ratio to 400km/h (maybe not a good idea, as it takes more time to get to max speed), then i have made a strategy, in the turns, get by the inside the closest of the yellow line as possible, in the big part, just get out of the front of the cars, get between the grass and the yellow line, with this the AI Drivers will not catch you soo fast; in the small turn (finish line), as you get off the last turn, just get in front of the other cars, so that they can't pass you. only 2 have managed to get in front of me, but by a small distance, that you even can't see... they will get behind you in the turns... the most intense race that i've done, Nascar it's out of the way for me, next: Formula GT :S

EDIT: in the end, my car it's with 895hp... and i've won a car that doesn't match the dificulty level of the damn championship!!! (as usual -.-'')

You're a life saver, thanks!

And I'm somewhat serious about life saver because Bob has been shaving years off my life from annoyance.

The Gamestop NASCAR is a dream to have as well, engine rebuild and chassis strengthening for 500 CR!

ABS: 1

SRF: ON

All Other Assists: OFF

Downforce: -50/-70

Ride Height: -17/-19

Transmission: 230MPH

Springs: Front: 16, Rear: 15

Video if it helps...Pay attention to the first lap only, I must have fallen asleep during the last lap..lol Still managed 1st by over 4 seconds though.
I actually used the setup posted by the OP and after a million tries I finally got 1st place. It was pretty fun when I got bronze and I knew right away i could easily get Gold. By the end of the 2nd lap I was 9+ ahead of 2nd place.

Thanks for the settings. They worked fine on my Johnson car.

I recommend bumping the high speed ring MPH up to the 200 area.

I'm not a big fan of NASCAR, but after golding everything in Nascar school I was awarded the M&M car. Took it to the championship races for the very first time. Dialled in OP's settings and aced all championship races easily. I'm a Div 4 racer (so low down). I found that the gearing for HSR and Seca and to lesser extent GVS was a bit too low, but perhaps that was due to using another car than the OP. Daytona was won by the skin of my teeth 0.098s. The rest was well above 10-15 seconds and clean racing.

Now of course I need to rerun this with the car set to default and see for myself why it's so hard to win this championship :D

Hat off to leadboots

AMG.

Edit: Earned this in the last race - Human Stopwatch

Props to OP for the tune, it worked great for A-spec but it did have some issues for B-spec. I used Inflict's setup for Bob and it worked perfectly. Between the 2 tunes I was never challenged.

Fantastic setup. Won all races first try by at least 7 seconds with no aids at all. Last race, however was a different story. :)

I must be noob but what do yo mean with & ? Stays default or something ?

Gonna try this with B-spec and figured car needs tuning. Did A-Spec with default car just race softs and blasted trough them :/ Hope Bob will do good with a tune.

Not a bad tune but i found B-Spec ate my tyres... (He's lvl 23 with a slightly hotter temper, Not a lot almost in the middle)

So i changed a few things and he was much much better. Did Laguna with a gap of 10+ Seconds and very little tyre wear without spamming pace up. (Kept him middling) :)

Heres what i did....

Aero:
F: 30 R: 55

LSD:
Initial: 20
Acc: 55
Braking: 25

Suspension:
Ride Height - F: 0 - R: -10
Springs - F: 18.4 - R: 16.5
Dampers (Ext) - F & R: 8
Dampers (Comp) - F & R: 6
Anti Roll Bars - F & R: 4
Camber - F: 1.0 - R: 0.9
Toe - F & R - 0.0

Brakes
F: 6 R: 5

Gears i used were longer than the OP's:

Race 1: Indy @ 230mph.

Race 2: Grand Valley @ 199mph

Race 3: High Speed Ring @205mph

Race 4: Laguna Seca @ 168mph

Race 5: Daytona @ 230mph

Hope it helps. :)

Used your settings but for Grand Valley and Daytona it will need some changes.

For Grand Valley you will need more rear down force or less oversteer as he burns the tyres,

For Daytona set the topspeed to 250mph and downforce to 45.

On Grand Valley my bobber was dead last ! He needed to pit in lap 10 as tyres where gone !
On Daytone all he had to do is finish at least 2 places behind the Jeff Gordon car but in the very freaking last lap he lost 5 positions lol. I managed him in top 3 all the time and all of a sudden he dropped back causing me to place 10 points behind no1 in the champ.................arg !!!!!!!!

This guy is a god, Settings were awesome each race, But I think personally the speed is way to low on daytona, Red lines alot but I just put mine higher, Fair play kid, True gamer

I dont get it my car can only go as low as 240mph, and that is just too slow for the straights help please, got to lap 10 and of course got spun again .

I joined to specifically reply to this thread and say thank you. I've searched everywhere for a tune for these road courses. I jumped in the Laguna Seca race just so I could prove you wrong and say these tunes won't work well either... well I finished first by 9.? secs and that was driving easy my last 4 laps. My previous best on that track was 8th.

Thanks again. Now on to win that championship.

A simple oil change and these settings and my Bob (Felipe Massa) took the JPM car out in Indy and destroyed the competition so far.
Amazing!

Thanks! 👍

Am I the only one who has a problem with burning the rear tires off these cars?

I don’t get spun-out… I just loose speed at the end because I wont pit and then the competitors’ pass me.

Awesome settings. Thanks worked a treat in the end.

Had some trouble in the B-spec races with a hot tempered bob. Put a cool bob in and owned it.

Cheers:tup:

Tip for Grand Valley: Keep Bob cool until about lap 7 then start telling him to overtake. He should easily get to first and win 'cause everyone else will have crappy tires from all the sliding they do.

Like so many of you, I wasn't looking forward to the NASCAR series but, again like many others, after tuning my car, took first in everything except Daytona (was in 1st til 6th lap when I was spun out).

And now Bob is on race 2 and finished 1st on both. Thanks for the tune friend. 👍

I'm running the B-Spec event right now with a setup I found for the Bonus race
Running the Ford Focus, still not all the way run in yet.
45/60 Aero
-1 -1 Ride Height
12.0 / 13.5 suspension
2.0 / 1.0 camber
Dampers (Both) 7 / 7
Anti Roll: 5 / 5
LSD: +10 on the Acc

Everything else default and so far got gold on the first three all by 6 seconds or better.
Gearing for Indy was 230, once I got out front I maintained a 2 turn lead on the field, I forgot to change the gearing for Grand Valley and Bob kept dropping to 1st gear in the tight turns and smoking the tires, but still managed a 6 second win, but trashed the tires. High Speed ring was no sweat, took the lead on lap 2 and checked out gearing at 205. Gonna try the OP's setup for Laguna. Let you know how I do.

Just won Laguna by 10.100 and Daytona by 5.933 with the OP's setup. Level 26 slightly cool bob

Used 45/60 aero and +10 on the Acc on the LSD

This setup will walk on the AI!!! I won all races in a row both A-Spec and B-Spec. This is for the AJ Allmendinger Fusion. I won the car, changed the oil right away before driving it and then rebuilt the engine as soon as I could. Change the oil again and you will have 892 hp! Here is the tuning setup I used for all races. Also be sure to TURN OFF ALL ASSISTS for both oval tracks only. All races use RACING SOFT TIRES!

Suspension:

Ride Height- F+15, R-15
Spring- F 18.4, R 18.5
Dampers(both ext and comp) F8 R8
anti-roll bars F6 R6
Camber F 0.5 R 0.5
toe angle F 0.0 R 0.2

Gear ratios by race, both A and B-spec:

Race 1: Indy, All assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph.

Race 2: Grand Valley, Traction control 1, ABS 10, Skid recovery force on, Gear ratio at 193 mph

Race 3: High Speed Ring, Traction control 1, ABS 10 Skid recovery force ON,
Gear Ratio at 193 mph

Race 4: Laguna Seca, Traction Control 1, ABS 10, Skid Recovery Force ON,
Gear Ratio at 162 mph

Race 5: Daytona, All Assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph. Stay low the entire race. Do not allow them to draft you!

Hope this helps. VERY frustrating race, but with these settings I won every race by at least 5 seconds.

Great setup! Thank you! I just finished the second race in 1st easily when I came in 10th last time around.

I'm using the Camry.
