Having NASCAR trouble??

EDIT - Just tried it at Indy, and my tires wore out faster....And I just got last place at Indy?

What were the default settings for the LSD?

The tune says for (Daytona) that is why your tires wore out.:)
 
Using the tuning, I had to go back and re-do Daytona. Daytona is just a draft war, flat out, no matter how your car is tweaked. However, this tuning allows you to cut to the inside without losing much speed in case you have to jump up in the draft train.

So find a pack to draft with, and bunny hop to the next one during each turn. Then, when you have the lead, ride the generic race line in order to block people from passing you.
 
thank you for posting this set-up. it was amazing. the first 4 races were a breeze with this tune, and ,obvious, daytona was still a bitch to beat. i just now beat it thought with about a .100 lead, almost spinning out at the start of the last lap. the trick is to keep your speed up on the turns, and stay in front of the pack on the straights. they will obviously draft, but cut in front of them before they pass so that they instead push you. it worked for me.
 
yes mate you have to nurse him along all the way, in every race. I start the race by spamming "increase pace" instead of "overtake" to get him up in the lead while the tyres are still good, then maintain his pace at the bottom end of red on his cool/hot bar for the rest of the race.

BUT, on grand valley i keep his cool/hot in the middle to conserve the tyres until lap 6, when all the other cars start losing grip on all the corners, then i up the pace to max or three quarters and he shoots up to first.

I used this exact strategy and so far have had no trouble, btw that tip about grand valley was great. i was keeping my driver at medium the whole race until the 6th lap, then i easily pushed him up to first using the hot to three quarters hot pace and won the race by over 3 seconds after being 11th on the 6th lap.
 
This setup will walk on the AI!!! I won all races in a row both A-Spec and B-Spec. This is for the AJ Allmendinger Fusion. I won the car, changed the oil right away before driving it and then rebuilt the engine as soon as I could. Change the oil again and you will have 892 hp! Here is the tuning setup I used for all races. Also be sure to TURN OFF ALL ASSISTS for both oval tracks only. All races use RACING SOFT TIRES!

Suspension:

Ride Height- F+15, R-15
Spring- F 18.4, R 18.5
Dampers(both ext and comp) F8 R8
anti-roll bars F6 R6
Camber F 0.5 R 0.5
toe angle F 0.0 R 0.2

Gear ratios by race, both A and B-spec:

Race 1: Indy, All assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph.

Race 2: Grand Valley, Traction control 1, ABS 10, Skid recovery force on, Gear ratio at 193 mph

Race 3: High Speed Ring, Traction control 1, ABS 10 Skid recovery force ON,
Gear Ratio at 193 mph

Race 4: Laguna Seca, Traction Control 1, ABS 10, Skid Recovery Force ON,
Gear Ratio at 162 mph

Race 5: Daytona, All Assists OFF, Gear Ratio set at 224 mph. Stay low the entire race. Do not allow them to draft you!

Hope this helps. VERY frustrating race, but with these settings I won every race by at least 5 seconds.

No wonder there is so many guy's online racing that really have problems.Well if u think some of these work good luck picking the right set up help.Just have fun and if u ask the good drivers for help u will most of the time get help right then.Have fun guy's and girl's.see u on the track i hope.
 
Big thanks, helped med alot in my 2011 impala, but daytona is imossible, think i need more speed than you prescribed, the other courses where a kids game!
 
Just a totally flawed piece of game design here in the NASCRA cars, and when you think this is what this genius tried to sell us as a great part of this game! Totally deluded sadly.

Daytona is just about flat in AI cars but with a pad you just cant go round the corners without scrubbing tons of speed off.

Its the same reason why the Gordon challenges are pathetically hard too, on Daytona you simply cannot take the corners as quick with a pad and a fairly standard setup without scrubbing off 20 or 30mph in every turn, even the bloody kink, its rubbish really!

Is this all you signed up to the site for was to bash the game and its developers? I mean seriously, its not as bad as you are making out to be. Sure, its not perfect, but hardly the flawed piece of trash you are making it out to be.

Looking at all your post's, it seems you have nothing good to say about the game in general. Put it back in the case and go try something else.Or maybe if you were not so negative someone might actually try to help you.It is spelled NASCAR.

Well lets see. Is 240mph in a draft, in a NASCAR real? No.
Have you ever watched any real racing? 90% of any form of racing they lose speed in turns even Indy Cars, same as NASCAR, full throttle thru turns they lose speed.
Sounds more like your driving. I only loes 10-15mph thru the turns.

If you want real NASCAR, for a fee you can drive a Richard Petty Driving Eperince Car. Till then no one knows real!

I did just that back in the late 80's. Great fun. I also won a ride-a-long with Rusty Wallace back then at MIS. More great fun all up until the part where I had to ask my then wife for a clean pair of underwear. :lol::lol: He had actually went a bit faster than he was supposed to. :scared: Those walls look aweful scary inches from the car at 170 mph. :scared: They said I looked like I had just climbed out of a clothes dryer afterwards, all pale and disheveled. :lol::lol:
 
The problem is that now on the nascar series on A and B-spec you can't turn off the Active Stability Management, this way it's kind of impossible to keep up.
Also the IA always hit you while you're drafting.
 
Even with ASM on you can still win at Daytona yay finaly affteer 200 tries I managed with this tune. Just have to hang back in the middle of the pack conserve your tires till lap 8 than push upto to 2nd hang their till last lap pass em and hold off till the finish if you drove nice enough the first 8 laps you will have plenty of tire left to take a hit or two on the last couple laps and not spin out and hold a faster line that the AI can't hold due to driving too hard.
