It's simply their usual strategy. The Alpinestars Car Pack recently deviated from that norm though.

Turn 10's communication strategy is to never acknowledge the existence of something until it is released.

Porsche Expansion and all non-Car Pass DLCs have been announced on release day. It's not a PR strategy I personally agree with, but if it works for them then they'll keep doing it.

The Porsche Expansion was officially announced back in 2015, but it wasn't unveiled until release day. So they did acknowledge that early like they did with the first six monthly car packs.

I think that was a condition of the deal with EA, as in "You can make an announcement or two that it's coming but you can't do any pre-release promotion/marketing/full car list reveal."

We're only speculating at this point.

When Porsche was added to Forza Motorsport 4, Turn 10 had an entire month of reveals, adding 1 new car each day.


Back on-topic, we should know more about NASCAR at around 3pm BST, with a Content Update coming at 6pm. As mentioned before I'm not interested in the cars or track at all, but moreso in how Multiplayer will be affected by the supposed changes to drafting, corner-spotting and rolling starts.
 
I think no one was really surprised that Porsche went to F6. I mean it was forgone since its been in H2 and F4. I get the feeling that even if EA gave up the Porsche license we'd still get a paid DLC Porsche pack because... money money dollar bill y'all.

Does it really matter that is just the current season? If you had 2015 cars would it make a difference? They're still 4 spd carb fed V8s... the performance envelope isnt going to be much different.

I would have liked (I knew it wasn't going to happen anyway) for them to include a few classic Nascar cars, a couple from the 70s, 80 & 90s. Perhaps Dale Earnhardt's one from when he won his seventh Winston Cup, that sort of thing.

Sorry I just saw your post, yeah it's not about the liveries, see above. That's what I was talking about. They could have also added trucks. But it's all good, I was really missing racing Nascar cars since my days with Gran Turismo so it's a welcomed addition, I'm also looking forward to the rolling starts, never thought I'd be saying this haha! I think Turn 10 will do them properly, 2 file and close.

For the mobile-phone users out there, I went and cleaned up the OP, deleting most of the old screenshots. I left the Amazon.com link, and the picture of the GAME tweet, but added the achievements. Page should be easier loading now. Will add the trailer if it releases, as well as post-release info.
 
Judging by the images on the achievements list, I guess they're all Sprint Cup class NASCAR vehicles or something.
