Your in a NASCAR forum why?
I'm in GT5 forum....

My bad. Why are you in a NASCAR thread? Satisfied?
The wait is killing me. We should have had this game in 2 days.
Hey guys, maybe this is a bit off topic right now, but is there any evidence of th Dodge Charger being in the game (the stock car, obviously)?
I mean, we've seen photos and videos of GT5's NASCAR racing, but all we've seen have been Impalas, Fusions and Camrys.
It would be strange if the Charger didn't make into the game since Dodge is actually included. Could it be some kind of license problem? No Dodge team giving permission to PD to represent their car in the game?
It's a team licensing issue. PD has licensed Dodge, but to put a Dodge racing team, like Penske, into GT5 would also require the licensing of Penske themselves. So if no Dodges show up in NASCAR, it's simply the teams fault for not signing on. (Possibly due to the new NASCAR game coming out)
Me personally, it would be good to have more cars in, but at the same time if we had more oval tracks, then I wouldnt mind. What I want know is, whether we can make a track layout for example, Martinsville through the track editor in the game. Or am I being too greedy.
Personally I believe there will be enough different NASCAR cars from the same year to at least fill a 16 cars grid.
How will they do it with online racing? If I join an online event with my #24 car that I won in GT life and three other people also selected this car. I think it will be a field of a lot of the same cars in one race. Same counts for all the other races if you ask me.
This dawned on my yesterday and made me think. so at Daytona are we gonna have re-stricter plates? are we able to control if they are on or off? will be be able to do a Daytona race without a re-stricter plate? just one little detail brings up a bunch of questions. id love to be able to affect re-stricter plates on any track
Nice work Sam
I saw Allmendinger's car in a video, but wasn't able to tell it was his car lol.
By the way, do you think the old version of the cars, the one with the rear wing, will be kept, or will we only be able to play with the current car (the one with the spoiler)?
I think we'll have to settle with the latter, but who knows...

Thanks. Anyway, I don't see why PD would scrap all the 08' and 09' cars as it takes a lot of time and money to produce them in the first place. I suspect when we start a NASCAR season in GT5 career mode, we might progress through the years so as to show of all the cars. Just a thought though.
So why don't we give the NASCAR trailer another view and start counting every single car we can see? Here is my list, let's see if anyone can add more cars:
-Chevrolet:
Jimmie Johnson
Jeff Gordon
Dale Earnhardt Jr
Tony Stewart
Juan Montoya
-Toyota:
Brian Vickers
Kyle Busch
Denny Hamlin
Nº55 (is it still Michael Waltrip?)
Joey Logano
-Ford
Carl Edwards
What I have noticed is that in earlier trailers showing NASCAR racing, there were cars with the same paint scheme than real ones but in different colors. For example, I saw a yellow nº24 Chevy and a white nº55 Toyota.
Stupid type of racing. Left turn, what's next? Left tuuurn.
