In case you guys haven't noticed, its Gran Turismo, not NASCAR 2010. You want all the NASCAR tracks and all the cars, then get NASCAR 2011 when it come out in February. They never promised a whole NASCAR game, only an inclusion.

True but when they got the lisence we assumed there will be more than 2 Ovals to race in.:ouch:

Stop assuming. It's the reason why so many people are sitting here so disappointed.

I actually find it really funny how people are complaining about the car list. 1030 cars..........what's there to complain about?!? NFS games and such have less than 100 cars, and I don't hear as much whining over those lists elsewhere. We have 10 times more cars than alot of games, be grateful.

We should definatley be happy with what we got ,the hype and expectations were so high it's unreal. Finally its just days away are you ready.

Only about 220 of the 1030 are worth mentioning though, and why people complain is because they probably feel that too many of those 220 premium cars are not exciting enough.

There will likely never, ever be a car list in any car videogame that will 50% satisfy 50% of the fans, so if I was Kaz I wouldn't give a flying crap. Everyone has such varied tastes that it's near impossible to cover even half the cars everyone wants. It's hopeless.

Trust me, I'm one of those mildly irritated by the car list, but I'm still grateful for what we have in the game and move on with my life.

They are all worth mentioning. You can't say none of the cars in GT4 are worth mentioning can you? Was GT4 worthless??

People complain for the sake of complaining. Some people just can't be impressed at all. People look at the bad and complain, rather than the good and be happy. People are not as happy finding $100 on the ground as they are having $100 taken from them. It's the truth.

I'm thrilled about GT5 and I'm loving the car list, track list, features, all of it. I know what it takes to put a game together as I work in the 3D/CG industry. You can NEVER impress everyone. Though Kaz is striving to, it's impossible. Some people just take it to another level though.

I'm not even mad about there only being two tracks, but my problem is the pathetic 11 car fields. If they would have included 5 more NASCAR cars, I wouldn't be complaining. That means 5 cars are gonna be repeats. I'm sorry but thats crap. PD boasted about including NASCAR and they couldnt even make it so we could do a legit 16 car race. I hope they release some DLC or something for it because what we have now is utterly lacking

Seriously, was 3-4 tracks and 16 NASCAR cars REALLY too much to ask for?

What ever happened to the 09 cars?

I'm guessing that the 09 cars may have been put on the cutting room floor after seeing the car list with 2010 models.

What doesn't show is the Joey Logano GameStop/GT5 car and we know it is available to those who preordered the game through GameStop, like me.

So we still don't have a completed/region specific list yet.

So, we only get a taste of NASCAR and not the full experience.

There's nothing like traveling down the back stretch at Talladega at 190+ MPH bumper to bumper in a 43 car pack 2 laps from the finish.

Well you won't be doing that in GT5... LOL

2 tracks..Pathetic.. nothing short of a PI55 take...

Oval's arent the hardest tracks to make, hell even motegi had an oval.. and thats not in either...

I counted 12 different NASCAR cars, i've never seen a NASCAR race so for me is enough. I hope it will be a nice introduction in this genre.

Poor Test Track, when it was born in GT, I wonder if it knew how short its life with be. RIP Test Track (1998-unknown) . Honestly, how well are the nascars going to turn in the other tracks, say.. Nurburgring at night, in the rain. Atleast..theres going to be Nascar carnage!

The reason why so many of us are disappointed is that racing Nascar cars in only 2 official tracks, AFTER 6 YEARS - plus Sonoma being scrapped, which makes things even more senseless - is just utterly ridiculous.

But sure as we've never assumed to find 🤬 fireworks in GT5 I guess we'd better quit whinging, hey!

Theres only 11. That means we can't even race a full field without repeats. There certainly are NOT enough NASCAR cars available.

Yes, by today's standards GT4 is worthless in my honest opinion.

I'm not complaining about the game. I'm complaining about the standard cars. I still think the game will be awesome and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Not like they used too when they had the wing, it was very easy to get them airborne, but the sharkfin and the return of the spoiler have all but fixed it....so far. The still flip just not as violently and it takes a very abrupt spin to catch air.

You got more than poor old F1.

"Poor old F1" wasn't marketed as a major selling point for the game. "Poor old F1" wasn't featured as one of the game's "major licenses". NASCAR was, and they couldnt even fill a field out.

To answer the posters who asked "Who cares if theres only 11", I do, and so do all the other disheartened NASCAR fans who thought PD would have done the sport some justice in its recreation of it. My question to you is, do you know ANYTHING about NASCAR, or ANY real life racing series for that matter? Theres no repeats in real life, Jimmie Johnson can't just clone himself and race in two identical #48 cars. All PD had to do was add some unsponsored or even PD-sponsored NASCAR cars to fill the field out. We NASCAR fans were not asking for much, all we wanted was 3-4 tracks and at least 16 NASCAR drivers to race with. What we have now is a cheap, underproduced facsimile of the real thing. It doesn't matter how good the physics are, if you cant even race a full field and have repeat cars, its not worth my time or PD's.

You want a good NASCAR game? Then wait for NTG 2011. Honestly, if anyone was anticipating Gran Turismo 5 to be even more than dabbing some NASCAR into the game they were severely misguided as they would be if that's the reason why they refuse to buy the game. I'm a NASCAR fan and I'd buy this game even if they had no NASCAR in it.

đź‘Ť Dude, that is for sure. I did not buy GT5 for Nascar. Nascar was a bonus in my eyes. Honestly if they made a full Nascar game inside GT5, it wouldn't be fair to the other series in the game.

From here, all we can hope is DownLoad Content, so at least we can add more Nascar tracks to the two we have.

^I thought u said "good" nascar game? The cg trailer looks worse than gt ingame, and that game only has 22 tracks and 43 cars.....

You do relize the majority of Nascar's races take place at a track more then once, right? Thats pretty much the entire Nascar schedule.
