I was reading the comments today by both Kurt Busch and Jeff Gordon, regarding there incident yesterday, very interesting comments aswell. I think anyone who's having a pop at Kurt Busch for yesterday, I think its abit harsh. We've seen aggressive racing throughout this season, even teammates racing eachother aggressive aswell.

But there are times when people go to far, and this was one of them. He could have done many other things to let Jeff know he wasn't happy, and he did it anyway.

Jeff just doesn't seem to get a break... So close yet so far for yet another year...

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see someone from Hendrick who is not in The Chase (including Stewart-Haas) rub Kurt a lot more than he'd like. It would be great if Jr & Kurt were running at the back early at 'Dega and Jr takes him out!

You serious ?

This was payback for many years, according to Kurt's comments. This incident was nothing compared to Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards earlier on in the season. The fact and the matter is, Kurt Busch has got the bottle to do something back, unlike a certain Martin Truex Jr.

Considering Kurt has pretty much stolen Jeff's chance at a 5th championship with that sucker punch, I don't think it's funny at all.

Jeff didn't have much of a chance. He hasn't had the sustained performance of the 11, 29, and 48 teams.

I wasn't laughing at Jeff Gordon's chance for a fifth title. And besides, so you actually thought he had a realistic shot at the title going into Martinsville ?

Give me a break, Kurt stolen Jeff's chance of winning the title. If anything, Jeff has made a few mistakes since the chase started, two races back to back he had two speeding pit road penalties. So I think he was out of the running going into Martinsville I'm afraid.

There's alot of people out there who want Jeff Gordon to win his fifth title, including myself, got alot of respect for him.

While that is a Attitude I normally would agree with, I just don't see it working with the Chase. The system favors wins over consistancy and unfortunately, the 48 and the 11 have more wins then anyone else has consistancy.

True, but how many wins should the #24 team have this year? Considering the races they dominated then lost. 3? 4?

They lost the races on their own. Like I said the sustained performance is lacking on the 24 car.

Are they using the new Nationwide cars this weekend?

Nope, no Nationwide series action this weekend. Charlotte was the last time this year the New car was used. We won't see them until Daytona in 2011.

Watching abit of practice right now, can't wait for raceday. :)

I think whatever package the Cup cars have this time around is going to make for a pretty good race. :)

With a lap speed of over 197 in practice I think that's pretty crazy.

There will be plenty of tricks and treats coming up for the Sprint Cup race at Talladega. 'Dega is going to be crazy on Halloween day. Those Chasers trying to stay alive in the championship really need to step up. Otherwise, their championship hopes will be crashed out... like getting in the Big One.

Best of luck to all racers this weekend at Talladega. Hoping for more treats than tricks for the NASCAR Sprint Cup stars.

They are supposedly using the exact same package as the spring race. Should be a good race, it's also the first race I will get to watch in a few months.

The truck race on Saturday should be interesting? Rowdy will be one step closer to the manufacturers championship!

Yeah true, in first practice both Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch topped 200 mph.

Damn, that truck race was epic yesterday, glad I watched it.
Anyone else managed to watch it ?

I did, crazy stuff. The finish was insane.

8 lead changes and 8 different leaders within the first 8 laps. Insanity.

Great finish, wild wreck at the end, hopefully Allmendinger is ok.

Championship is now extremely close.

Wow Harvick is lucky to have that Aarons car in his back seat, that car was all kinds of banged up. Glad Nascar took their time to figure out who really won. Pretty clean race overall, I would have preferred the 48 to finish much lower, or laps down, but ill take that. I just don't want him to go 5 for 5.
