Congrats Denny. Grandmum would be very proud of you. :D:tup:

Wow, what a scenic looking track. This track looks really nice, all the mountains and water. Good find.

Am I the only one on here who stays up in the summer in order to watch nascar?

What country are you from? I never really thought NASCAR was shown outside of North America, or that anyone overseas cared about it. I would stay up if I had to, but I guess I'm lucky with that? I however do stay up for the the start of the F1 season, or wake up early to watch the European events on the F1 schedule. Also stayed up for Le mans.

Wow, a NASCAR Exhibition in Argentina? I guess I was wrong about Nascar having no exhibitions overseas.

It's nothing new, in the 90's they did an exhibition at the Twin Ring Motegi Speedway in Japan. I think one was also planned for Australia but I don't think it ever happened.

Yes, there is even video of this. I'm just surprised to see one at all in the present since that (or was it after Suzuka?), they haven't done any.

England channel 5 show NASCAR Indy car and rolex grand am series.

Sky sports show NASCAR Cup races live in the UK, it's popularity has increased in recent years, still a distant hope that a fly away race could come to Rockingham, Corby.

Wow that's really cool, I'd never have known that. I'd like to see the Cup cars go overseas for a few races myself.

I would love to as well. Nationwide series already has done so in recent years so its abit asinine that cup doesn't do it at all nowadays.

That race is sponsored by Honda, who supplies engines for the indycars and probably picks up most of the tab for sending the teams out there.

Not to mention Honda owns the track.:sly:

WATKINS GLEN

NASCAR goes road course racing, qualifying coming up tonight :D

Again, I'm hopeing for a really strong showing for JPM :D ;)

So awesome, NASCAR at Watkins Glen. And this is only a fraction of the awesome road racing action we have this weekend overall.

What's that coming over the hill is it a monster? No it's a Montoya

Are there any hills in Watkin's Glen? Who cares? Montoya or Ambrose to win especially after what last year and at Infineon this year

This just in... a guy from Launceston, Tasmania, Australia won the Zippo 200 at the Glen. Aussie boy Marcos(?) Ambrose. Congratulations to the former Australian V8 Supercar Series racer.

He did, he won last year in the 59. Congrats to him for winning it again and with the same team(abit in a different number). If he pulls off a sweep in Cup (which could or could not be likely), I'll will be one happy man.

It's very likely he can pull the sweep Camyron

Fastest in happy hour today, he obviously gets around the Glen really good, with some good strategy and good driving like we saw from him today he can win tomorrow.

Now, there was a controversial moment in the race that I saw earlier today. Marcos Ambrose made a daring pass on Kyle Busch at the Bus Stop chicane, Kyle attempts a block, but then basically has to bypass the chicane in trying not to get wrecked. I'm not sure if the fans were cheering or booing that move. Kyle Busch was pretty pissed off at this. He still managed to finish 2nd.

That's all. Now let's get ready for the Heluva Good!... whatever that race is called tomorrow. I'm surprised there aren't races called the Boudreax's Butt Paste (insert miles here). Only five or so races left until the Chase for the Cup commences. It's sink or swim for the ones at the bottom of the Chase standings.

Congrats, Ambrose!!! Good luck and go get 'em today!
