To be fair, Heluva Good is a local company. That's all. Now let's get ready for the Heluva Good!... whatever that race is called tomorrow. I'm surprised there aren't races called the Boudreax's Butt Paste (insert miles here).
Now, there was a controversial moment in the race that I saw earlier today. Marcos Ambrose made a daring pass on Kyle Busch at the Bus Stop chicane, Kyle attempts a block, but then basically has to bypass the chicane in trying not to get wrecked. I'm not sure if the fans were cheering or booing that move. Kyle Busch was pretty pissed off at this. He still managed to finish 2nd.
Not sure if you even saw the race, but they fans were cheering that move. Also, Kyle can shove it. All he ever does anymore is whine and blame people for his own misfortunes. There are people that wish they had the season he has had and he just pouts like a damn crybaby.
Well, the Nationwide race held under the rain last year in Montreal proved to be very, very uninteresting to watch... And depending how hard it's raining out there, some parts of the circuit could be quite dangerous (like that banked curve right after the bus stop, or the esses that lead to the straight) if they don't drain well.
Can you say "It's Indy '08 all over again."?Hey look, it's raining on a road course. Should we get the rain tires that are still there? NO, LET'S NOT AND MAKE THE REAL MOTORSPORT FANS RAGE!!And it's raining at The Glen. NASCAR won't use rain tires because it could decide the championship so close to the Chase. So the race probably won't start for 2 hours.
Rescheduled to tomorrow at noon. Ridiculous. Thanks for making me want to throw up on Nascar.
I remember something like that happening at a ChampCar race a few years ago in Surfers Paradise. It looked like they we're behind the Safety Car for the entire race. To put it in a more humorus manner...From the looks of it, it rained kinda hard but not a monsoon.
They didn't think about that at the 2007 Japanese GP at Fuji in F1. Yes they are lighter and more downforce but no matter what you're in, a massive downpour and puddles will eventually result in some wrecks(spins). I can't see how dangerous it can be. There's plenty of runoff areas, especially in turn 1. And these aren't your run-of-the-mill average joe drivers. COME ON. World's best drivers can't handle this? I doubt it.
Racing is racing. It should be done in whatever weather. I completely understand ovals, but Watkins Glen?
I watched Montreal last year and it was good after things got going, but before that, following the pace car forever, driving 2 mph..
Can you say "It's Indy '08 all over again."?

I went to a Auto race and a Yacht race broke out! :rimshot:Methinks they should have done some tire testing on the CoT's in the raining conditions beforehand?
so when is it scheduled to race?? Please post a gmt time for us international folk.. I get the races live from fox sports so i dont mind watching the odd race on my days off.
Well there's a chance I misunderstand US time zones...
but I just googled the time at Watkins Glen, it reports 9:23, and its 2:23 here in the UK, so to me that looks like a 5 hour difference?
plus, NASCAR live on Sky starts at 5.00pm...
.. I could be wrong though.
Elliot Sadler is my fav and my worst is that Dale jr. He's only in nascar because of his dad
Hard hits for Gordon and for Hornish for the second year in a row.
