I'm really looking forward to Carl Edwards and Marcos Ambrose teaming up in a Daytona Prototype. :D

But yes, I'm all for rain this weekend.

Some say Barack Obama bull****s with a smile on his face. I'm starting to believe them. Watch this awkward meeting with Johnson and Obama:

My favorite question from Obama was when he asks Johnson how fast does he go? That sounds like something a third grade student would ask or someone who bull****s with a smile on his face and has never seen a NASCAR race before.

I think Obama needs a rookie stripe on his limo tank.

Why am I not surprised to see of all people you post that?

You shouldn't be surprised. What's better than NASCAR and politics? Synergy, man.

Don't bash Obama, he knows his ****, he picked the Tar Heels to win the Men's tourney and the Steelers to win the Super Bowl, so him correctly predicting the Cup champ wouldn't be that surprising imfo.

The Cup crew will be off for the upcoming weekend, but Nationwide will be at Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve. And if you remember a past YouTube video I did, I praised the action in the pouring rain and NASCAR's adaptation to the wet weather. So what do you say? Rain for this year's race? :)
I'm hoping for rain. That will make the race really fun.
And it'll give them the golden oppurtunity to show up the Cup teams for not having their cars rain racing ready at The Glen a few weeks ago.:sly:

This.

All they would have needed is to punch a couple holes in the windshield for wiper motor(s) and have the blades ready.

Goodyear had the tires there for the Nationwide cars, I imagine they would have worked on the cup cars.

👍

Ambrose will win in Canada. Calling it now.

From what I heard, they now have new generation rain tires for the Nationwide cars In case the rain comes. If I'm lucky, we'll see them put to the test:sly:

And/Or have Rain-X on the windsheild.;) Methinks Ambrose will be giving his team and others who are willing to listen a few pointers on how they have the V8 Supercars prepped for possible rain races too. :D

Here's an early forecast courtesy of wunderground.com (all Farenheit degrees):

TUE - Sunny with clouds from time to time in the day, and a few clouds at night. High of 79, low of 70.
WED - Cloudy with showers likely (60% chance). High of 73.
THU - Sunny/Clear. High of 68, low of 50.
FRI - Sunny/Clear. High of 68, low of 48.
SAT - Cloudy with showers likely (60% chance). High of 66, low of 52.
SUN* - Cloudy with showers likely (60% chance). High of 75, low of 55.

* = race is on Sunday

So if this holds true, then it's time for the NASCAR Nationwide boys to showcase racing left and right when it's raining.

Lawlz.

I suppose you didn't see the ESPN interview? Obama dodged that question, since he has never seen a NASCAR race.

Ah, i see those classes I have been giving you finally worked:sly:

Althought if it was your idea for the rain dance during the Michigan race, i am going to have to shoot you between the eyes with a arther large bullet as they say down south

That was none of my doing. I tryed to make it happen for the Nationwide race at the Glen, but Nature fought a hard battle:indiff:

*unintentional pun detected*

Now keep in mind. The Rolex Sportscar Series race is on Saturday. So it may be wet for BOTH series this weekend. But at least for now, there's your very early forecast.

Oh yes, i can see you doing battle with Mother Nature

Hey think u could direct the rain in the general direction of, say, Belgium?

I think I can, let me work my magic.

With no Cup action coming up this weekend, I just want to mix things up here. Get ready for a look at the points in other NASCAR series. This is the NASCAR thread, and I tend to believe that a basic thread on a series even contains a look at how other NASCAR series are faring. So here's your taste of diversity!

Ryan Truex has been the guy I've rooted for(along with Matt Dibenedetto). Hope he wins a championship.

And Justin Allgaier spins and blindsides Ron Fellows and... (Everyone except Kyle Busch fans rejoice) Kyle Busch. Expect some good post-race interviews. Andrew Ranger is leading, with Carl Edwards second.

I think Kyle did pretty good there with that spin. He was facing the right way and only one car passed him , he wasn't waiting. But I feel bad for Fellows though even though he won last year so its not so bad.

All these yellow flags are killing me, I just want it to end. This is going to be a wild last few laps.
