Shane Green, I don't know whether I want to hug him or be scared.

Good job on dominating the A-Final Adam! Way to represent :D

Looking forward to seeing how everyone does in B-Final.

Sad that no one ever got to actually race head to head besides those exhibition races.

Haha so true, was watching the final ep of GTA US 2012 this afternoon, is any of those guy's competing this year or from of GT Planet.

Wish they would do this for Australia, I would love to be able to just have a go.

In a head to head race someone can get unlucky if they get shunted in the first corner, time trials are a little better, I think

I'm out, finished 13th.

Well chuffed though, great competition and looking forward to seeing how the day unfolds.

That's racing. I'll always prefer actual racing over this TT BS. We did enough of that in the qualifier. It's just so much more entertaining and exciting.

Sorry to hear, great effort man, thanks for checking in.

I came 5th in the B final, had a bad Q and it was a GTR around Laguna so no way to pass :( still in the top 12 though :)

I disagree. Nissan is looking for a race driver, not an Autocross champion.

There must be a reason why they did more TTs this year than the rest. Maybe that was the reason, maybe not, they might reveal why in an interview some day.

Just wanted to share a picture that we put together during practice for last year's GTA:

My guess is that there's less to manage with a time trial since it's just one driver on one track.

At least my Q's have been relatively okay but I would still rather have races.

According to the format on Spike's website we'll have one qualifier followed by 3 sets of groupings, 2 races per grouping, with challenges in between.

"Challenges" definitely piques my interest >.>

Can't wait for it to go down.

Interesting GT Academy doing this challenge, vertical leap  this isn't the NFL :boggled: ...

Or could it be practice for podium jumps :sly:

@BLKJ Evolution
I actually asked a Sony manager directly about this very thing last year in Silverstone and he said they wouldn't do those types of challenges, which is why I'm interested in finding out what they are.

But, besides that, really? Autocross and physical fitness tests in between racing the game... in a small studio. Nah.

@manumanu19
Yeah, just one of the many fitness tests they do. In our Racecamp we did the same test, but it was with an actual device that measures your jump precisely. Seems like they wanted to drum it up a bit for the cameras by doing that same test this way we see here, in the image you posted.

Don't know if you've noticed. But the "challenges" at the euro event are physical, media, and a real driving challenge.

So is anyone in shape? :nervous:

Maybe these challenges in the US are at a different location than the racing? I guess there aren't any close tracks, I'm sure they could use a parking lot outside of NYC though. Hummmmm.

Those of us that are shooting for the title and not just a trip to NYC, are putting in serious effort to be in shape...

I am not worried.

In fact, the more physical and driving challenges we have, the better off I am.

Looks like they are killing them already, might be a surprise attack. But Tidgney did say that they've done some physical stuff in the nationals before so it might be specific to Europe.

Winners are in picture order:

Neil Williams - Wild Card
John Foster - BanditKarter-22
Mark Ridout - markyboy92
Martin Hefferon - GTP_Tidgney
Adam Suswillo - GT_ADAM
Shane Ward - GT5_Shane_UK
