Be nice to have a private room. Lot of random people stopping in and playing. Making it a bit of a hassle at times.

This generally works great. As long as we're good about accepting friend requests on the shell account. 👍

Right, so this is what we're doing.

I'm going to set up the account in a couple hours once I'm home.

I'll send every one on here a PM as well letting them know I'm going to send them a friend request from the account.

It's going to be something obvious like. "GTA2012" or whatever I find is best available.

That's cool. I was getting sick of all the "randoms" that were joining. Send it to this account as opposed to the one i used in GT Academy. Thanks :P

Some good racing tonight since it was just GTA drivers, at least from what I saw, and I got my first win. :D Excited about tomorrow, more racing and a possible e-mail.

I am glad you guys are setting up a private room as I am sure you are fed up with the randoms showing up and not giving you guys the respect they should. However I do not think calling them "Randumbs" is showing them any respect. The OP clearly states All Welcome! These are just people wanting to see just how fast you guys are I doubt there is any malice intended.

Dang it! They need to stream this live this year.

Sidenote; 3g just plain sucks for streaming video. Took over 30 minutes to watch that. :(

After a week of "all welcome" there is now second thoughts. There is a difference between watching the finalist and taking them out. I am just glad I got to see what the best look like.

That would be awesome if it was streaming live.

Whats the fear with streaming it live? It is not like we will not find out the results anyways. I hopr the GTP dude that goes gives a full report of the tracks and cars that are used, pole position time, race results, and lead changes.

I got your PM Wardez, looking forward to joining one of those private rooms, could learn a few thing's from the faster guys. :D

Also, anyone have the 370z GTA version??? That's the only car I need from the list lol :dopey:

BTW, aren't we receiving the "new" GTA cars sometime this week? Will we be using some of those in replace of the older model GTA cars (370z & GTR)?

When they are talking about Randoms, they mean just random people who join the room that we don't know and are not from GTP. I doubt they know what we're up to, they're just looking for a room to race in and most of the time (from my experience) they usually do more harm than good.

Because they want to save the footage for the TV show. If it's anything like last year, updates can be posted the whole time. They don't really care about keeping that a secret. (Silverstone stuff is a whole 'nother story though..)

Results are all fine and dandy in the business world but us wannabes like to see how the results were reached. Knowing who moves on to Silverstone before I get to see the finals is kinda like reading the last few chapters of a book first.

I understand what and why they're tape delaying it. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

Technically it would be a few chapters in the middle. Silverstone would be the last few chapters. :sly:

LOL. I thought that very thing after I hit "send" for that post.

Last year was a bit haphazard and tightly controlled. Given the more open location, allowing spectators, and Jordan will be there this year... I expect we should get as much coverage as he can manage. I'll be surprised if we don't get a few hand-camera DSLR race videos.

That's going to be a long flight. But there's nothing to worry about flight-wise, except for you butt falling asleep. just make sure to bring something to do.

Window seat + Music + Ability to fall asleep in any moving vehicle I'm not operating within minutes gets me through most flights :P.

I can't fall asleep in a plane with the noise and having a total stranger sitting right next to me. I usually just find something to do.

In the Coast Guard I had one rack on a ship that was only one small space away from our generators (constant loud hum/vibration) and another in the bow of a 110ft patrol boat that often saw seas of 8+ft in the Florida Straits in Winter. I learned to sleep through just about anything
