I'd hardly call it an era until this happens on a regular basis.:P Plus Boston are far from done, it's their home court next. Doesn't matter, Raptors will school you all next season.

Phil is retiring. It's the end of an LA era. It's hard to argue against the teams I mentioned. The Thunder will have a championship soon. They're a great young team.

Words can't describe how happy I am right now. Lakers are done, Celtics are (likely) done. It's a new era of winning teams in the NBA. Grizzlies, Hawks, Bulls, Heat, and Thunder have risen from the ashes.
I wouldn't suddenly consider the Bulls a winning team now. The Heat neither, since we ended up just handing over the win.

I can't believe Dallas acquired the skill of winning, though. I'm impressed. Not holding my breath for whomever they play next.

Wow. Really? The Heat are a great team now. When Bosh shows up they are unbeatable.
We had a chance, but when we played them in the final rounds, we just decided to play like high schoolers. In my defense, Wade was amongst the favorite for being "fouled" though; you'd have thought we were playing football whenever he was touched in some games.

The Heat will be the team to beat for years to come now. My brother is convinced they'll get Chris Paul too , they better not.

Ross is right, the shift is damnnear complete. This would've been Lakers last run, and I figured the Celtics as well. KG's like 50.

:lol::lol: Yeah somewhere in that ball park.
Is Phil Jackson really retiring, like officially, at the end of this season? If so, Lakers probably will need to find a new identity which may take a year or more.

The man was pondering retirement last year, so chances are real good. I would say yes, but you never know who might make him a offer he couldn't refuse. :D

CP3 is going to have to go there for practically free, I got money says he goes to the Magic.

Yea, its over for the Lakers and Phil. I say its gonna be OKC(if Westbrook calms the hell down) vs Miami and Miami sweeps, or in five over OKC.

Seriously though when the Mavs faced the Heat in '06, the Heat were a completely different team. They had Shaq and a legitimate bench. This year's Heat aren't as good, but they're better than any team in the playoffs right now. The championship is theirs' to lose. Miami will likely face the Bulls in the semis and beat them. In the West the Thunder will beat the Mavs and then, in the Finals, the Heat will beat the Thunder for the ring.

I still like Boston, but that could change tomorrow. And KG will be a day closer to 51......

The current Heat's bench are surprisingly good role players, Anthony is a great hustle player who can rebound and defend, Jones is a good 3pt shooter and pretty good at taking charges and holding his own on the defensive end, and Mike Miller and Chalmers are both talented players in their respective divisions. When the Heat bench comes on it doesn't throw the momentum of the game very much, especially since the Heat normally still have 1 or 2 of their best players still on the floor.

This is true. The Heat bench isn't as consistent as I would like though. I didn't really mean that they weren't a good squad in that previous post. The big 3 are still doing a LOT of work. I think the Heat is currently the best in the EC with the Thunder being best in the WC.

Are you guys seeing this? An Ford Econoline Van is playing center for the Celtics.

Bosh must've been away at a Mason's conference because I watched a brick factory.

Lebron wasn't as productive either, and Big Z is just crap, Miami got their noses busted.

Laker's been hanging around the Blazers. Our players also got this attitude about how they can't be bothered with Playoffs. Well, at least they got some rings, I guess.

Jason Terry is beasting beyond the arc.

Wow... Just Wow. Never seen the Lakers getting beat up this badly before. Looks like the Mavs will be placed on that short list of teams who have swept the Lakers in a playoff series. 👍

BTW GO SPURS... lol Hope they get some new guys next season.

I think to sweep a P. Jackson team is much more of an accomplishment. He's the only person I feel somewhat sorry for. I hate the Lakers. It's a pity to see such an iconic coach go out like this.

Wow, Dallas really wants them gone. Almost a 30-point lead over the Lakers. The Lakers by freakin' Dallas?!
I really hope Dallas carries over this momentum to their next opponents, but not expecting it.

Odom just went for a foul. Must have been hanging with Artest.

This is why I hate the Lakers. I don't see how anyone can support their behavior over the last few minutes. This isn't an isolated incident either. It's pathetic.
