It looked like JJ Hickson owned Blake Griffin, when I saw the box in the fourth quarter, but man:

Griffin could learn a LOT from that dunk on how to posterise somebody without offensively fouling them in the process and getting away with it, good thing he had a first row seat for that one. Great dunk though.

I heard Miami dunked on Toronto 14 times- the most against any team this season. The Heat have also won seven-straight against the Raptors. Ouch.

Elsewhere, it was 100-98 as Dallas went into Orlando and beat the Magic. My Rockets will need some help from other teams to beat the teams immediately ahead of us. So this didn't help matters much for Red Rising.

Wow, Hornets put up a good fight but Kobe clutched it from 3 to make it 85-88.

It also looks like Linsanity may be out for the rest of the season due to his knee.

I had no idea JJ Hickson was even on the Blazers roster, but geez he had a massive game yesterday.

I had not heard this. Great for the Knicks(sorry to be a hater), but feel really bad for Jeremy Lin. Really like that kid.....

Yeah, Sacramento cut him, Golden State wanted to sign him, then the Blazers I guess came out of nowhere to pick up his contract.

He was a beast last night. Late in the fourth, he was 29 & 13, Griffin was 20 & 13.

Yeah, comes with being a lesser skilled team.:lol: With any luck our rookies next season will inspire some needed toughness.

I like that picture.:lol:

...and we've started a new losing streak. One loss in a row after the Rockets failed 104-102 at home to Indiana. Up next is at Chicago tomorrow night. So we can make that two straight losses unless the Rockets somehow pull one out in Chi-town.

I think Griffin is scared about getting slapped/blocked by Hickson :lol:

You might get lucky, the Bulls could be all demoralised after the Thunder held them to 78pts today.....or they could be mega pissed off and blow you out.;)

Did anyone see this play today? Freakin' funny.:lol:

The Rockets are full of surprises. To paraphrase what Kevin Harlan once said about Michael Jordan in one of the games he called, we "pulled a Houdini" and beat the Bulls. More people were probably watching the Kentucky vs. Kansas NCAA Division 1 National Championship game than an NBA match. We still won. The spread was six as the Rockets won 99-93. Our next game isn't until Friday at the Lakers. Then after that, the road trip concludes with an at Sacramento and at Portland back-to-back on Sunday and Monday respectively.

This was one of only six games played today. Good job if your team won; tough luck if they lost.

Oklahoma City and Chicago WILL go to the Playoffs. Both have clinched Playoff spots. The goal now is to see what seven teams will join them in each conference.

Oh my god, you NEVER turn your back to the inbounder, not under your own basket. If Pierce wasn't so much bigger than me, I'd smack him on the back of his head. :rolleyes:

P.S. Good call on the waterboy voice. I was thinking along the same. :lol:

Well it's about time the Raptors beat the Bobcats.:rolleyes: Good to see Bargnani rolling with 30pts.

Number of games coming up tonight, including the Battle for Los Angeles: Lakers at Clippers. Kind of tough to use "at" when two pro sports teams share the same arena. But I think Staples Center is Clippers' turf tonight.

I did a little reading on the Clippers a few minutes ago. I saw a stat on how the Clippers have their best record since moving to Los Angeles in 1984. So I found out the franchise started life as the Buffalo Braves back in 1970. They'd play for eight years in western New York before moving to San Diego in 1978 as the San Diego Clippers. The last NBA team in San Diego I can recall is known today as the Houston Rockets (formerly the San Diego Rockets). Then in 1984, the San Diego Clippers moved to Los Angeles. And the rest- is history.

Ray Allen is supposed to return tonight for the Celtics after missing six games. And also, it's Thunder at Heat tonight. D-Wade is a game-time decision. I still see Thunder/Heat as an NBA Finals preview. It's going to be a good game.

Enjoy this NBA ball night!

Raptors on a 3 game win streak?! :D
Griffin grabs the top 2 highlights of the day with one the most blatant over the back rebound I've ever seen and the other smashing Gasol in the head so he can dunk on him. Why, why is Griffin given such blind praise and preferential treatment? And is it just me, or is officiating in general taking an even steeper stoop lately?

Four games are on tap tonight. Among them, here are the two games to be aired for the NBA on TNT:

* Knicks at Magic
* Celtics at Bulls

And here are the other two games:
* Wizards at Pistons
* Clippers at Kings

Now go enjoy some NBA ball! :)

Boom boom PAU

And again, I must point out that is a hugely blatant offensive foul, I look forward to the day Griffin does something without fouling someone.

Yeah, but he is a star player, and this is the NBA. ;)

Seriously, I don't know how anybody follow this league with a straight face on.

If you must, just like in the real life, this is how you handle Blake Griffin a punk.

Andre Miller actually had active most consecutive games played in the league until this game. He was not called for a foul, but later was suspended, and his streak snapped. I still say it was worth every penny.

I bet we'll see an off-season rule change. His fouls are blatant, because he wants to dunk 8 feet, straight-up from the rim. I was never a huge Shaq fan, but an O'Neil in his prime would have stopped Blake's antics immediately.

Blake Griffin just straight up looks like an asshole.

I bet we'll see an off-season rule change.

But there already is a rule that is supposed to prevent him from using his off-arm. Trouble with the NBA is that, if you make a lot of $$$ for the league, they will let you get away with murder on the court.

Shaq was the perfect example. He just lowered his shoulder, backed into the defender until he was three feet from the basket. Defender often was half his size, but had he tried to get physical with Shaq at the other end, BAM!, foul. Don't get me started on the 3-second rule. :rolleyes:

Everybody knows about the active off-arm of Griffin. Refs should be watching for that every time he dunks with a defender in the way, but they will continue to miss that call as much as possible. At least until complaints grow louder, or he takes another super star out.

Or if you're on the home team in the waning minutes of a close game.

If we start listing stuff, we are going to need a whole another thread, probably. :lol:

Sometimes I just enjoy watching golf(no interference from zebras with bad eyesight). :lol:

Edit:

Wow. It just doesn't get much more blatant than that. Stern OK'd Blake for offensive foul + over-the-back on dunks, apparently. What a joke of a league. They should have called a foul on Gasol for fouling the floor, while they are at it. :lol:
