Tonight is a game that may be an NBA Finals preview. It's Miami at Oklahoma City tonight. Maybe the second best game today/tonight is Philadelphia at San Antonio.

Congratulations on Chicago on locking in a playoff spot in this condensed season.

You think that's bad? Have a go at how the Bulls beat the Raptors! Raptors had 3 golden opportunities to seal it in regular time and failed, played great defence in the dying seconds of overtime with the Chicago shot coming up well short, but merely that Deng was in the right place at the right time, and tipped it in with tenths left on the clock, in slow mo replay the ball was only like half a foot out of his hand when the timer expired.

Haha I'm not having a go at him, all I heard is that Marco had took the tying shot but it fell short of the rim.

A couple of games to highlight on...

* "They'll feel that tomorrow morning" doesn't even begin to describe this one. It took not one, but FOUR overtime sessions for the Atlanta Hawks to take down the Utah Jazz 139-133. Utah is in a back-to-back that takes them to the New Jersey Nets on Monday night. The Hawks don't play again until Tuesday, when they'll play at the Milwaukee Bucks.

* Oklahoma City extinguished the Miami Heat 103-87 in Oklahoma City. OKC is so damn tough to beat at home. Almost the NBA equivalent of Cameron Indoor Stadium or Allen Fieldhouse.

Congratulations to all other winners from Sunday's games, and tough luck for all losers of Sunday's games. Monday begins a back-to-back for my Rockets. We host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night before heading up to Dallas to take on the Mavericks on Tuesday night.

According to my brother who watched the game (Miami fan worth noting), the refs absolutely 🤬 the Heat all game, which doesn't surprised me, NBA refs are truly terrible and most of them hate the Heat.

Yeah, that's really no excuse. It doesn't get betting in the playoffs.

True that, Villain. 👍 Playoff series can be a wrestling match, so toughness definitely counts.

I think a lot of the experienced fans were keeping close eye on how NBA was going to officiate the Finals last year. While they did a good job, and I personally didn't think it affected the outcome, I thought it definitely went in favor of the Mavericks. God, that was a great series(because Mavs won). Don't ban me Omnis. lol

It was 113-106 in Overtime as the Rockets stopped turning the ball over and started playing to win against the Sacramento Kings. The game was tied at 99 at the end of regulation. Sad news is that Goran Dragic sprained his ankle late in the game. I'm sure he'll be scratched for our game in Dallas tomorrow night. A new Rocket joined the team- Earl Boykins. Our magic number to make a good-enough postseason push is 35- the number of wins we'll need to have in closing out the regular season. I think our win total is now 27 with this win.

Strong start, brutally mediocre finish. We're once again the doormat of Texas NBA teams as we failed in Dallas to the tune of a 90-81 fail job. The Rockets led strong but just fell apart in the second half. Now, we're REALLY going to need the help of everybody ahead of the Rockets if we are to stand ANY playoff chance. Dragic played very well despite having a sore ankle.

The Rockets simply just ran out of gas. Not running all cylinders. We failed... again. The next match is at home against the Grizzlies on Friday night. It will be Noche Latina for my boys. Maybe we can get better after two days rest...

Gotta congratulate Kobe for surpassing Jordan in points scored for one franchise.
While I wouldn't even entertain the idea that Kobe would compare to arguably the greatest NBA player of all-time, but on scoring, Kobe is one of the best I've ever seen. I often roll eyes of fellow fans in the Blazer land for raving & rooting for Kobe(I'm a fan). One time, our work got skybox to see the Blazers/Lakers, and the owner of the company grabbed my neck when he caught me secretly clapping for Kobe scoring.

People regard me as a diehard Blazer fan, so I often shock them with that!

Sounds like a great place to work, but regardless you gotta be happy for Kobe and what he's achieved in the NBA.

You would be surprised. Most Blazer fans are complete Laker-haters, and only thing they seem to hate more is Kobe Bryant.

I'm not gonna lie, I started liking Kobe ever since I found out that he was named after the Japanese steak. :sly: He's also an honorable ambassador to the City of Kobe!

Haha luckily being an international viewer don't really hate or dislike any teams at all in the NBA.

No way, Stav. You have to pick up on this stuff. If you like the Lakers, it is required that you look down upon a Blazer fan like myself. Rivalry, bad blood, it's part of the experience!

Haha I'm a Hornets supporter, only rival team I can think of is the Bobcats.

Speaking of the Hornets, we beat Golden State 102-87, Belinelli having 22 with Jack and Landry both having 20 points as well.

Then we play Portland at home for our next match.

God, Hornets used to be so awesome in Charlotte when they had Larry Johnson & Alonzo Mourning. Ages ago.

I hope they beat Portland(was it tomorrow?). We want to go deep in the lottery. Go Hornets!

Haha that Charlotte Hornets team was the best, we even had Mugsy Bogues!
Seems like everyone wants lottery picks now

I don't know anything about college ball, but I'm sure you've heard, this upcoming draft is very deep.

Blazers should be making a trade or two on the draft day. I can't wait.

Haha true that, the Draft is going to be good this year 👍

And speaking of the draft, from what I understand the Raptors have one first round pick and two second round picks, plus Valanciunas will suit up in Raptors colours for the start of next season.:D Bargnani's 26pts today lifted the Raptors over the Nuggets, but it was a good all round team performance.

Edit: Really looking forward to the Raptors-Heat on American Friday Australian Saturday.

NBA on TNT back on with two NBA matches after two weeks of college coverage. Here's what will be on TNT tonight:

* Mavericks at Heat
* Thunder at Lakers

There are also two other games playing tonight outside of the NBA on TNT matches: Washington at Indiana, and then New Orleans at Portland.

Enjoy your NBA basketball tonight and this weekend! Oh... and congratulations to Kobe Bryant on his most recent accomplishment.

a6m5, looks like Portland doesn't want any lottery picks, you beat us 93-99

Hornets are horrible this year though. My boss offered me pair of tickets for tonight, I didn't even remember that they played tonight, or that it was against the Hornets!

Yeah, Hornets have been injury prone this year. Jack or Ariza didn't play, while I think Okafor and Gordon are out for the season so yeah.

It was 98-91 as the Rockets get their 28th win. Marcus Camby got his first Rockets start and picked up 16 rebounds. The very tight race for the lower half of the Western Conference continually gets interesting. Rockets will meet the Pacers at Toyota Center this Sunday. We need every win we can get because after the Pacers, a brutal four-game road trip begins, starting with a trip to Chi-town to take on the Bulls. I'll be surprised if we get at least two wins with the brutal road trip we're on after the Pacers game on Sunday.

But of course, we can only worry about Sunday and the Pacers for now.

[UPDATE] I feel dumb for not mentioning the team we beat. We beat the Memphis Grizzlies tonight. This was obviously a big game for us because it's a division (Southwest Division) opponent.

Viewing Portland v Clippers on the NBA site, looks like a close game thus far.

Hornets up against the Lakers, highly doubt we'll win.

:death glare at a6m5:
I'd like to say that Blazers don't stand a chance, but I've been hearing the Clipper's been struggling. I couldn't care less who won the tonight's game, as the Blazers are just playing out the season at this point, but I couldn't root for the Clippers, man. Don Sterling! Chris Paul!(should've been a Laker) Oh, well, I didn't even know that they were playing tonight.

;)

Edit: That was too 🤬 close!

Raptors fought the Heat until some ways through the 4th quarter, after being 89-all Miami put their feet down.
