Looks like John's a triple-threat all by himself. :lol:

I didn't even follow the game, but looks like another O/T win for the Blazers, as the last game against the Rockets, what, a week ago or so was also a overtime in Houston(Blazers won that one, too).

Harden's having a good year so far in Houston, but he's never really been a threat to Portland, even when he was in OKC. I guess Portland got the edge over them for now. Go Blazers. Yaaay.

Well, those three posts I did were all with the (and I am not marketing or advertising) fabulous GTPlanet app for Android. I'm usually on my desktop PC typing up stuff. But sometimes, I just post mobile. Yeah- a must-download for GTPlaneteers to get this lovely app. :)

Anyhow, it was sad seeing the Rockets fall again. I think I tuned into the game late as we were leading 100-93 or something. Portland just pulled away a bit in Overtime. Our James Harden should be used to the Trail Blazers, having played for OKC in the Northwest Division. I still have not seen any live action on TV of the Rockets, so it's still sad I have yet to see any on-TV action of the Rockets.

My Rockets will play a back-to-back: at Lakers on Sunday and at Jazz on Monday. Or at least, I believe it will be a back-to-back for the boys in red.

But John, you are a fan! You actually care about your team & the NBA. I don't care a whole lot about either of them really, and even I've caught a game here & there. :P

P.S. Brett lives!

Man... 101-80 is pretty good chin music the Los Angeles Clippers gave to Chicago last night in L.A. My Rockets will play against (can't believe even I am saying this) the other L.A. team- the Lakers. This is a back-to-back for us: at Lakers tonight and at Jazz tomorrow night. The loss at Portland in Overtime was saddening. This could be even more so. I'd honestly be surprised if we win either or both games in this back-to-back.

KD had his first career triple double tonight. Westbrook had a very good game with 30 points, seven assists, and five steals. K-Mart had a very smooth 23 on what I would have thought was less than 15 shots. That is two games in a row that the Thunder have shot over 50% from the field.

There are only two K-Mart: 1) K-Mart 2) That ugly piece of you know what, I don't know where he is these days. I think the Clippers.

:P

Yo, no lie, but that Chicago offense is turrible.

Trades might happen if it goes South...
I know I discount any team not named Miami, but Chicago's kind of like OKC. With the right tweak, you guys might be able to do something. You guys just need solid, quality help, with top-notch skills & brains, sort of like Ray Allen, or Shane Battier. Believe me when I tell you this. :lol:

Edit: I didn't even know what you were referring to. The Bulls lost to an lottery team tonight. :lol:

My Rockets probably wished they could have a rematch against the Trail Blazers in Portland than have their asses handed to by the Lakers. Stuck on mediocrity with a s:censored:ty performance against the *floundering* Lakers, we basically just fell victim to the Lakers... again. This beating was a 119-108 where Pau Gasol hit that milestone of 15K points for a foreign-born player. Kobe Bryant got himself a triple-double (22 pts., 11 rebounds, 11 assists).

Lakers, your team is just fine. Shut the hell up. My Rockets are still on the lackluster side. Stop crying your eyes out because your team is somehow bad. If your team is really bad, the Rockets would have beaten you by the same margin you beat us. Your team is fine. Stop crying. F:censored:ing happy now, Lakers? Enough is f:censored:ing enough. Cut this whining s:censored: and play to win yet another m:censored:f:censored:ing NBA championship like you f:censored:ing usually do. GET OFF MY M:censored:F:censored:ing ASS ALL G:censored:DAMN-READY! S:censored:!!!

The hand-us-our-asses back-to-back continues tomorrow at Utah before coming home to host Chicago on Wednesday. Wouldn't be surprised if we f:censred: this one up too...

I'm pretty sure shows like "Around the Horn" and "Pardon the Interruption" will be debating on if the Lakers are back to their original form. After all, it's usually "Always Hate Houston" for ESPN unless a Houston team is actually doing well (like my Texans). The Lakers talk will be as annoying as New York Jets chatter.

Other games...
* IND at NYK: 88-76; New York Knicks
* ORL at TOR: 97-86; Toronto Raptors
* BRK at SAC: 99-90; Brooklyn Nets
* CLE at PHI: 86-79; Philadelphia 76ers
* GS at OKC: 119-109; Oklahoma City Thunder
* BOS at DET: 103-83; Detroit Pistons
* CHI at POR: 102-94; Portland Trail Blazers

Congratulations to all other winners. Now I'll go cry in the corner and throw some fits.

Brandon Roy should just call it quits. The dude is undergoing his 7th knee surgery since high school this week according to the media. He's never going to be able to play basketball the same way again. I can't imagine him even being able to fully get-around outside of the NBA at this point. 7 surgeries in what? 6 seasons? Time to just retire & enjoy yourself, man.

Oh, god, I feel terrible. :indiff:

He's a good kid. It's easy for us to say walk away, but he's a competitor. When he was healthy, he was one of the finest shooting guard I ever saw play.

I'm so sorry, Brandon. It sure does sound like the time to walk away. :(

P.S. I was at the second to last game he played as a Blazer in Portland. It was 2011 Playoff game against Dallas. He willed the Blazers through something like 20+ points deficit late in the game. Rose Garden is typically considered one of the loudest arena in the NBA, and even I'd never experienced that loud of cheer before. It was amazing.

What happened? Did he just quit or something? I saw the box.

The problem with Boozer is apparent when you watch his game. His defense follows his offense unfortunately. When he gets going on the scoring end, his defense picks up. Great.

But unfortunately his offense is so streaky that he appears in one game, and disappears the next. He shows up against defensively weak teams like the Suns, and disappears against strong defenses like Miami or Clips.

That is not the mark of a 80 million dollar man, that's the mark of a draft bust. Bulls should have paid 40 mil max for him, but of course, this is all hindsight and it is indeed a 🤬.

The Bulls are stuck because of that ridiculous contract and nobody would take it.

Earlier on "The Beat" on NBA TV, someone asked via Twitter if James Harden is a superstar or "a good player on a bad team." Really- my Rockets... BAD? So we're in the same boat as Washington and Detroit? We're mediocore at best. But BAD? Please.

While I wouldn't rank them that low, I certainly wouldn't rank them good, or strong. Might as well be a lottery team.

So it's not the injury? Maybe he just lost the will? Never liked him, not after he stabbed Cleveland in the back, but he used to be a pretty good power forward. I just don't get these guys who just can't play anymore, all of a sudden. Gerald Wallace did that to us last season. I was convinced that he was hurt. It later came out that he just wanted out of here.

These type characters, they shouldn't receive guaranteed pay. You don't want to base it completely on individual production either, but case like Boozers is pure rip off.

I won't be surprised that by next season we start shopping Boozer, Amnesty him, or start giving Taj more starter minutes. Unfortunately Taj is a band-aid since he is less of streaky player when it comes to the O.

Quality, not necessarily exceptional, power forwards are abundant in the NBA. If they can amnesty Boozer's lazy ass, I'm sure they can pick up another one on the "cheap" to "affordable". Maybe another PF on a amnesty. :lol:

All joking aside, I still can't get over Houston amnesying that long, dirty haired Argentinian forward. Yeah, I remember his name, I just don't want to say it. He was pretty good!

I know. lucky bastards..... Didn't they get the Steve Nash-lite, too? I remember his name, too. Just can't be bothered to spell it out.

I knew it was Drag-something. :dunce: Always liked both of those guys.

Edit: sumbrown - It was Scola & Dragic I was referring to, not Boozer & Boobie(wrong Gibson) Gibson. :lol:

All three Texas NBA teams played tonight, and all three lost. It was 105-101 in Overtime as Dallas lost at home to Golden State, 92-87 as the Los Angeles Clippers beat San Antonio in San Antonio, and 102-91 as my Rockets lost at the Jazz. Really, all Southwest Division teams lost tonight, because Memphis fell 97-92 in Memphis to Denver.

Elsewhere... Washington still can't get a win. 96-89 was the final as the Indiana Pacers came into Washington, D.C. and smacked around the lowly Wizards. Charlotte won at home over Milwaukee 102-98.

Congratulations to all other winners. Playing on Tuesday:

* Toronto at Philadelphia
* New York at New Orleans
* Brooklyn at L.A. Lakers

Nets at Lakers will be the NBA TV Fan Night game on Tuesday night.

Right now Thibs is in semi-panic mode. He basically admitted to ESPN Chicago that this Bulls team needs someone to show up on offense, and is now affecting our whole defense.

Sometimes you have to score to make your defense work.
