Wow. Caron Butler with 29 points in just under 25 minutes (and he sat the entire 4th quarter)... The ball keeps rolling.

Hmmm, I wonder how long the Clippers streak will go for?

Honestly, the streak isn't important to me. I could care less if it ended tomorrow. The regular season is just an audition for playoff spots. What I like is how the team is getting contributions from just about every healthy body on the roster and playing solid basketball. Solid defense, smart shooting, etc.

Get the defense worked out and the rotations pefected so that the team is positioned for a deep playoff run. 👍

True that, has Grant Hill even played a game for you guys yet?

Final NBA *ball night* of 2012! Make it count if your team(s) is/are playing!

What do you know... Charlotte upset the Bulls in Chicago. 1 in a row for the Bobcats after their 18-game losing streak! CHA beat CHI 91-81.

We won convincingly: 123-104 hosting the Atlanta Hawks. So the Rockets will finish the 2012 part of this NBA season at 17-14. Carlos Delfino hung 22 on the Hawks along with 4 rebounds and 8 assists.

Other scores up to the time of this post:

* Despite Luol Deng's double-dobule (20 points and 12 rebounds), the Bulls fell at home to the Charlotte Bobcats. The 18-game losing streak by Charlotte was snapped. I think Chicago fans REALLY want D-Rose to come back after their fail to the Bobcats. I'm also certain sumbrownkid must be mad as Hell to see the Bulls lose to the Bobcats of all teams.

* It was 88-83 in Indianapolis as the Pacers tamed the Memphis Grizzlies. Both Z. Randolph (MEM) and P. George (IND) dropped 21 points for their respective teams. Randolph also picked up 15 rebounds for a nice little double-double.

* Miami needed Overtime to take down the Magic. It was 112-110 in Orlando. LeBron James got 36 points for Miami. Nikola Vucevic got 20 points and a crazy 29 rebounds. Board beast.

* San Antonio is tough to play at. Just ask the Brooklyn Nets, as they fell hard to the Spurs 104-73.

Congratulations to the eventual winner of Phoenix at Oklahoma City.

I honestly don't think it's going to be up to the Clippers. I haven't seen them play this year, but record indicates that they got their act together(almost no team's ever perfect). I think the x-factor is are teams like the Lakers going to get their act together. Outside San Antonio & OKC, I don't see the other teams coming together yet. I think Miami will be ready. Lakers could still go either way. I've been saying San Antonio's window has closed, but they could surprise us again(before they finally ran out of gas against OKC last year).

Another factor I can think of is Blake Griffin. If he becomes unstoppable, that opens things up for perennial chokers like Jamal, Barnes, etc., who otherwise wouldn't be able to score in hard games.

Not yet, and Chauncey has barely played much at all himself. TBH, I think they are taking their sweet time so they will both be 100% for the playoffs.

Yeah but I could probably grab 29 rebounds against the Heat, their lack of bigs, lack of rebounding talent and lack of desire (as of late) means teams are having their way with them in the paint, even the lowly Magic (who btw are still 1 game ahead of the Raptors even after we blew them out by 35 the other day).
Next up for us, a6m5's Blazers, hopefully the Knicks wear them out a little bit so we stand a chance.:P

I went camping John while the Bulls were losing to the Cats....:indiff:

I'm giving up on Chicago sports and concentrate on my studies I suppose.:ouch:

There were six games on New Year's Eve. The new year starts with six more games. Here's the card for tonight:

* Dallas Mavericks at Washington Wizards
* Portland Trail Blazers at New York Knicks
* Sacramento Kings at Detroit Pistons
* Atlanta Hawks at New Orleans Hornets
* Los Angeles Clippers at Denver Nuggets
* Philadelphia 76ers at Los Angeles Lakers

This is a Tuesday, so that means NBA Fan Night. The Fan Night game this week is...

Los Angeles Clippers at Denver Nuggets!

So America wants to see if the Clippers can keep balling as hard as they are right now once they get some Mile High hospitality. And really, I'm proud for Villain's Clippers. I really think it is refreshing that a team other than the Lakers are being praised.

Enjoy yourself some NBA hoops for 2013.

The Clippers' streak ended with Denver today.
A scary thought occured to me today, Toronto has been starting Calderon of late over Lowry, which means Jose will be tasked with defending Lillard tomorrow.:ill:

Whoa, good luck with that.

I read that the Bulls at Pacers game postponed by weather back in December will be played February 4th. Whomever plays tonight, go play hard and good luck to your team(s). My Rockets will host the New Orleans Hornets (or the soon-to-be Pelicans) tonight.

Everybody falls in Denver.....

Calderon sounds like a poor defender, but Lillard versus Lowry should be something to see.

The New Orleans Hornets had themselves an unhappy trip to Houston as they got swatted 104-92. I can only hope we can keep up this good run. It's all about hustle and heart for the Rockets. We are now 18-14 on the season while New Orleans falls to 7-25.

Elsewhere...

* Toronto must have been hungry because they had a feasting frenzy on Portland. The Raptors mauled the Trail Blazers 102-79 in Toronto. Ross had 26 points for Toronto while Lillard accounted for 18 for Portland.

* 96-94 was how much Chicago beat Orlando in Orlando. Carlos Boozer picked up 31 points and had 11 rebounds for a double-double.

* The Sacramento Kings left Cleveland with a 97-94 victory over the Cavaliers.

* Indiana won 89-81 at home against the Washington Wizards.

* Boston keeps on losing. This time, they lost at home to the Memphis Grizzlies 93-83.

* Miami took down the Dallas Mavericks, but they needed Overtime to do so. 119-109 was the score in Overtime in Miami as El Heat beat the Mavs. LeBron James had 32 points and 12 rebounds.

* I thought this would be the best game of the night- Brooklyn at Oklahoma City. Well, it wasn't that competive score-wise as the Nets won convincingly- 110-93.

* San Antonio went up to Milwaukee and won 117-110. Tim Duncan cashed in 28 points and 13 rebounds.

Congratulations to all other winners, including the eventual winners of MIN at UTAH, PHI at PHX, and LAC at GS.

It's the first Thursday night of 2013. Two games for tonight, and here they are:

* San Antonio Spurs at New York Knicks
* Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

Enjoy some NBA basketball tonight.

The first of five straight back-to-backs for my Rockets begins tonight in Milwaukee. The Rockets will only be home for about five games this month of the 19 or so games slated.

On to the ESPN games. Bulls at Heat tonight. This one could be pretty rough for the Chi-town boys in South Beach tonight. Maybe they'll get smacked like San Antonio did at New York last night. Maybe it will be close. Who knows? And in the Battle for Los Angeles, Staples Center is Clippers' territory tonight as they are the home team for this game tonight. Can the Clippers get it together when LA's other team comes calling?

Enjoy you some NBA hoops tonight and this weekend.

Alright. Let's get it, GTP. Here's what went down as of the time of this post.

I didn't follow the Rockets at Bucks game very much. I did hear we were down by about 18. We played at Carlos Delfino's former team. The Rockets won 115-101. The other end of this back-to-back is at the Cleveland Cavaliers. So the Rockets will get some more Midwestern hospitality as this back-to-back continues. We are now a season-high five games above .500 so far this season.

Elsewhere...

* sumbrownkid, rejoice! Your Bulls extinguished the Miami Heat 96-89 in Miami. I also learned Chicago recently picked up our D. Cook after my Rockets released him.

* BIG win for Portland as they won 86-84 in Memphis. J.J. Hickson had 27 points and 13 rebounds for Portland, and M. Speights put in 22 points and 13 rebounds of work for Memphis.

* Another night, another Bobcats loss. Cleveland came south to Charlotte to hand the Charlotte Bobcats a 106-104 loss. Cleveland will return home to host my Rockets tomorrow night.

* The Toronto Raptors couldn't dethrone the Sacramento Kings in Toronto. Beautiful Toronto saw their NBA team lose 105-96.

* Double Overtime was needed in our nation's capital. In the end, the Washington Wizards couldn't beat the black and white boys from Brooklyn. 115-113 was the score in Double Overtime as Brooklyn leaves with a win. It was a 27-point effort for Brook Lopez along with 13 rebounds to help his Nets' cause.

* The Atlanta Hawks soared into Detroit and lost to the Pistons 85-84.

* Philadelphia got no love from the Oklahoma City Thunder, falling 109-85 in OKC. Jrue Holiday had only 15 points for the 76ers.

Congratulations to the eventual winners of UTAH at PHX and LAL at LAC.

Demarcus Cousins has been a beast since his 1 game suspension.

He needs a change of scenery to a team with some veterans that would not tolerate his crap. Boston would be a great team for him to be on. Kevin Garnett would not put up with any of his crap.

I agree, did you see how mad Kendrick Perkins was when he played with him in Boston?

Houston improves to 20-14 on the season with a 112-104 victory at the Cleveland Cavaliers. I heard we were down by 10 to the Cavs after the first quarter. The Rockets had plenty in the tank to motor away to victory. In the Rockets' next back-to-back, we're back home on Tuesday as the Lakers come to H-Town. Funny enough, we'll be done with the Lakers for the season with this upcoming game. That is... unless we make the playoffs and have to play the Lakers at some point.

[UPDATE] I talked about my Rockets. Now, let me get to a bunch of other games played on Saturday.

* Indiana was victorious tonight as the visiting Milwaukee Bucks left Indianapolis losing 95-80.

* The Boston Celtics got their heads on straight in beating Atlanta 89-81 in Atlanta. Paul Pierce had 26 points.

* New York was better than Orlando tonight as the Knicks won 114-106 in Orlando. Carmelo Anthony was out of his mind hanging 40 points on the Magic.

* It was a 113-93 beat down as the Brooklyn Nets defended home turf against the Sacramento Kings. Both DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) and A. Blatche (BKN) accounted for 11 rebounds for their resepective teams, but Cousins got 28 while Blatche had 15.

* 102-97 was the score in Minneapolis as the Portland Trail Blazers won on the road at the Minnesota Timberwolves.

* It took Overtime for the New Orleans Hornets to win 99-96 in Dallas against the Mavericks.

* Black and silver reigned supreme in San Antonio. San Antonio beat Philadelphia 109-86. Tim Duncan got 16 points.

* "Everybody falls in Denver." The Nuggets' latest victim... the Utah Jazz. Denver won 110-91 in the Mile High City.

* SoCal vs. NorCal. Golden State went down to the Los Angeles Clippers and got thumped 115-89.

That'll do it. Peace!

[EDIT] I meant to post an update to my previous post rather than make a brand-new post. Just look back at my previous post and disregard this one. My most sincere apologies.
