Ain't nobody gonna beat dem Heat!

Except the Wizards, Bulls, Knicks, Blazers, Grizzlies, Clippers, Pacers, Bucks, Pistons, Warriors did at some point in the season...

This Heat team is not as dangerous as they should be, and that lack of rebounding is going to do them in. Besides, Wade and Bron aren't getting the same usual calls from the refs, and Bosh is not the Bosh of last year for some reason.

Spoelstra is getting exposed when coaches know how to punish his teams by effectively using their bigs. Small ball can only go so far, and after the past two years, the NBA collectively has wised up to their tactics.

In short, for this season so far, "They are who we thought they were!"

I still stand by my take on the Heat. You watch and see how the other teams figured Miami Heat comes April-on. Teams of that caliber are different beast come Playoffs. :dopey:

P.S. Blazers beat the Heat by two. They were missing Battier. Battier makes up for more than that, just one quarter, on the defensive end alone.

The Heat will no doubt be there in the playoffs, but they ain't exactly made of iron as the media makes them out to be.

I mean Carlos Boozer looked like the $80 mil man we paid for against them. Need I say more?

And Battier, though his defense is stellar, is also 34 and can be seen being winded more often than not. Tired legs cause tired shots, leading to miss shots. Hence why his 3 is not as magic as last year, and the year before that. He's the Luol Deng of that team though when it comes to bball intellect, and he does not get enough credit for that.

And even without Battier, no offense a6, the Heat should have handled them. Likewise with the all back-up Spurs team they barely beat a month ago. It's like they are content and not really bothered with performances.

I could say the same for my Bulls. Beating the Knicks in NY, but letting the Suns beat us at home?

No offense taken on the Blazers, and that should tell you something right there. Blazers are most definitely not good. Also, same goes for the Rose-less Bulls too though. Miami added another potentially devastating weapon in Ray Allen. Mark my words, they are just figuring it out. They are coasting. All these games, they are just warm ups.

We can agree to disagree, but I think I'm gonna be right come June. :P

What the hell happened to the Atlanta Hawks? This game was shown on NBA TV tonight. Chicago was hammering the Hawks 48-20 heading into Halftime. I've seen college basketball games that ENDED with scores like that! The game ended up being a 97-56 cremation of the Hawks by the Chicago Bulls. Good news for Atlanta is that they avoid scoring the fewest points by one team in [the shot clock era] a game in NBA history.

When I did a little research online, the fewest points scored by one team since the shot clock (1954-55) was implemented was 49 points scored by Chicago in 1999 when they took on Miami. In that game, the 1999 Chicago Bulls made a depressing 18 of 77 shots. The Bulls would lose that game 82-49 at Miami in 1999. Before the shot clock, it was a mere 18 points scored by the Minneapolis Lakers when they took on Fort Wayne Pistons all the way back in 1950. The Fort Wayne Pistons beat the Minneapolis Lakers in the lowest-scoring game in NBA history- a 19-18 victory. Can you imagine games THIS low scoring in this day and age?

Atlanta had 20 points to end the first half on this night. Only team with fewer points scored in the first half in NBA history was the Los Angeles Clippers back in 1999 with only 19 points scored in the first half of one of their games that season.

Folks, that is scoring futility at its most ludicrous.

Other Monday games:

* 120-91 was the final score between Orlando at Washington. Who won by that ridiculous margin? Wait for it... Washington! No- it's not a typo. The Magic just got beat the heck out of by the Wizards, making the Magic appear totally overrated. Oh, and did you know... that the Wizards have now won three straight with this win?

* The Charlotte Bobcats went to Boston, and the Bobcats left Boston getting beat 100-89. There was a Flagrant Foul called on CHA for a rough play on Kevin Garnett.

* The Los Angeles Clippers are on a back-to-back. In their trip to Graceland, Memphis lost at home 99-73 to the L.A. Clippers. The Clippers' back-to-back ends with a trip to my hometown tomorrow night. Clippers at Rockets tomorrow night.

* It was 113-98 in Dallas as the Dallas Mavericks defended home turf nicely against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

* Oklahoma City at Phoenix up next. The OKC Thunder won this one 102-90 at the Suns.

* The Utah Jazz were ready to rock at home in hosting the Miami Heat. It was the Jazz who reigned supreme on this night with a 104-97 victory.

Congratulations to the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Sacramento Kings, as well as any other games from tonight I may have missed.

 Man, even my country town A Reserve grade league that I play in rarely has scoring THAT low, and we don't have a shot clock! I mean, my team plays pretty good defence and sometimes we'll hold a lesser team to a score like that, but never score so low ourselves.:sly:

There's nothing wrong with the Heat that isn't worse with the Knicks/Bulls/Celtics/Nets/ect.

Heat over Spurs in 6. Make it so.

Bro, let the games play out before we talk about finals, let alone playoffs. Insert Jim Mora rant

Until then, Heat can take a seat.:mischievous:

Has anyone else read ESPN today? Apparently since Melo got butt hurt by Garnett, the Knicks owner Dolan (Actually is Dolan :dopey:) taped the Bulls game for any trash talking.

Wow a bunch of mooks.

I couldn't give a rats *** about the Knicks.

Also, I am pulling the defending champion card. This isn't football, it's alot easier to repeat in the NBA. We aren't the Mavs, it's still the same team. Improved.

Except Chris Bosh & Wade aren't playing of the same caliber & determination they were last season.

Not sure how you came up with the "Miami vs Spurs" scenario. As far as the teams go right now, the East could be Miami, New York, Indiana, or hell, even Chicago if Rose comes back at the right time. While the West has the Clippers & Thunder as well.

And, as far as the season goes, Miami has beaten only the Spurs & Thunder. Everyone else won.

Kinda like how they were sloppy in '11 and '12? Every year I hear this, and they turn the jets on come postseason. And really? The Pacers? Riiiight. The Heat are flawed, but are the best team in the East.

Nice try though.

So far. They are only 3 games ahead of Chicago in 5th. It really is wide open considering we are only approaching the half season mark.

Miami ain't all that invincible.

I didn't say they were sloppy or anything about the postseason. I said Bosh & Wade aren't playing at the same level they were this time last year. All the media outlets agree with me. Hell, even Bosh made a note of it.

Best team in the East? While you're out there looking at statistics, look down & see who's half a game behind. The East's best is in the Top 3 & Chicago. The Nets need some work, right now.

Nice tr...oh wait, you're banned. Looks like you failed.

June.

The. End.

:P

Seriously though, QJ's just going about it the wrong way, because the Heat are most definitely not invincible right now-now. Heat could be denied June, too. If they succumb to no, not CP3 or Durant, but to injuries! :D

So for my birthday tonight... my Rockets get their asses handed to at home. We failed 117-109 to Villain's Clippers. Houston just fell asleep in the 2nd Half after we led 59-58 at the half. Oh! But it gets better- Rockets at McLaren's Mavericks tomorrow night. Yep- it may well be a five-game losing streak (or worse) after tomorrow night. Bulls:censored: performance by the Rockets even if we're taking on a ballin' team right now. What a birthday present for me. F:censored:ing yay...

Congrats to everyone else who didn't fail tonight.

Clearly they are hinting at something. Eh, my team regularly disappoints me on my birthday.

Brooklyn's win streak is at 7 now. Would be pretty nice to get a top seed in the East.

Hornets got the road victory against the 76ers 111 to 99, but seriously Vasquez has surely got to be in line for Most Improved Player of this year.

Don't get your hopes down. We've been doing well, but we're still far from where we should be. :indiff:

Raptors are back in a losing rhythm again like normal, we play the Bulls tomorrow.

Ready for some Wednesday night basketball? Ten games are up tonight. Here are some five of the ten games to be played tonight (in no particular time order):

* Houston Rockets at Dallas Mavericks
* Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors
* Brooklyn Nets at Atlanta Hawks (will ATL score more than 60 points?)
* Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs
* Miami Heat at Golden State Warriors

Enjoy your Hump Day basketball! Or should I say, Hump Night basketball. Wait... is there a such thing? Just enjoy some NBA hoops, dang it!

Way to let them back in Chicago. Thanks for making Boozer's game almost an entire waste depending if you can close them out.

If not, expect Thibs to make you all sleep in the bus and not in the hotel.

Edit: These refs are pure garbage tonight.

Edit 2: This game is rigged. That was a blatant travel by Lowry.

Edit 3: Scumbag Bulls strike again...

You gotta give the Raptors credit where it's due. As of now, there's only 12 seconds left in the game & the Raptors are down by 1.

The Memphis & San Antonio game is very close, but not surprising. I wonder if it'll go into overtime again.

I'll give them the credit after I get over this fiasco.

Even though we pulled out the win, this garbage of playing inconsistent needs to be gone.

I expect Thibs to do a lot of yelling tonight.

It was 52-44 in favor of Dallas at the half, and the Rockets get dinged up again. Five straight losses for the Rockets as we failed 105-100 in Dallas. Up next is the last of our five straight back-to-backs: at Indiana on Friday and at Minnesota on Saturday. Then, we're someplace else to end this four-game road trip we're currently on.

I'm only hoping the Rockets don't pull their best 2012 Astros impression by falling apart and doing next to nothing and getting into a horrific losing record. These boys need to get their heads together and learn to win again.

Come get your Thursday NBA fix right here- four games! Three games in the United States, and one is in London, England. Both Los Angeles teams are in action among the four games. So here are the games for today:

* New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons (London, England)
* Los Angeles Clippers at Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA on TNT)
* Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns
* Miami Heat at Los Angeles Lakers (NBA on TNT)

Enjoy your Thursday NBA hoops.

So it doesn't go unnoticed, I'd like to congratulate LeBron James on becoming the youngest player in NBA history to 20K points. He did so at 28 years, and... 17 or 18 days old. Something like that. Anyhow, congrats to LBJ on this accomplishment. Of course, he didn't go to college. Went straight to the NBA.

Here are the 2013 NBA All-Star starters:

--- EAST STARTERS ---
LeBron James (MIA)
Carmelo Anthony (NYK)
Kevin Garnett (BOS)

Kobe Bryant (LAL; NBA record 15th consecutive All-Star selection)

Have a great NBA weekend, and good luck to your team(s).

NBA has done it again, screwed up a key Raptors' call that could have sent the Bulls game to 2OT. They called a Noah foul on Amir Johnson on the floor when, upon review, they realised was in fact a shooting foul and have said so in an official statement. That's twice this season, the refs suck.
