Suns wins against the Bucks 116-100. We needed it to.
Also, another team starting 2 point guards against us, with Brandon Knight and Luke Ridnour. Did they not know Bledsoe was out?

I wish we could have played the Bucks tonight........ Actually, on a night you just can't make a shot, they'd have beaten us, too. Much props to the Sixers for taking advantage of the situation. 👍

Does anyone know what a Cervical Stinger is? Apparently that's what Ryan Anderson of the Pelicans has after being stretchered off the floor the other night. Sounds like a piched nerve in the spine area? Hopefully that's nothing major for him and he'll be back in action soon enough.
I don't know about you guys, but I don't buy any of this Melo-Griffin trade talk, the Clippers would have to be barking mad. And the Pau Gasol-Bynum trade talk doesn't make a huge amount of sense either, sounds like a pointless swap, neither team has anything to lose or gain from it unless a miracle occurs and either returns to form.

Griffin-Melo trade is pointless, but the Gasol-Bynum deal would only have been made if the Lakers wanted to dump salary by waiving Bynum, and fully tank.

I've made clear that I have zero faith in Carmelo Anthony as a NBA (star)player. Having said that, if anybody can maximize the talent out of him, a no-brainer would be an 'all-time' level playmaker. Chris Paul. To be honest, IMO, Clippers would be scarier with Carmelo Anthony. Downside: He's an unproven winner. I think I read that he has on opt-out soon though, and regardless of where Griffin's contract is, Knicks would have to throw in more assets if they were to make a realistic proposal. This is one of those situations that you are adding more by subtracting JR Smith, not offering him to the Clippers. I think the Knicks could probably shut down most trades by just metioning "JR Smith" these days.

Gasol-Bynum is an amusing one.... in a real horrible way. One center has been done for while. Once considered one of the best bigs in the league, he's been playing like he gained 50+ lbs last handful of years. Bynum........ isn't he supposed to be physically still shaky, and even worse skill-wise & mentally? To me, he's all baggage & no-reward at this point.

As a Lakers fan, the Bynum-Gasol trade will most likely be a bust. They're tanking this season all wrong!

We should just drop every game hope we land Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins in the draft as (hopefully) Kobe's replacement.

I read Chris Paul's shoulder injury is a Grade 3 AC joint separation. No surgery is required, but he'll be shelved for about six weeks. Man... LOT of injuries in the NBA this season. This will really force people to have that "next man up" mentality once players drop like flies around a black light.

So no Bynum-Gasol trade happened, yet, but something else did. The Boston Celtics have traded Courtney Lee to the Memphis Grizzlies for Jerryd Bayless.

The Houston Rockets started 2014 with... a win! But damn- it was close. A key part of our 102-100 win was ill-advised clock management late in the game. Thereafter, two clutch free throws by Houston helped secure the win for us. Hey... for us Rockets fans, we'll take it. Next game for us is on January 8 against those danged Los Angeles Lakers. Oh, and sorry your boys lost, kjb.

Congratulations to all the other winners from tonight's games.
That's okay I expected them to lose
Edit: the knocks beat the Mavs to go 2-1 on their Texas trip :@:

Macs? They are playing Apples? Think you meant Mavs there bud.

Leonardo Barbosa is coming back to Phoenix on a 10 day contract to provide some depth while Bledsoe is out on this road trip. I hope he stays longer, so he can at least play a home game so people can hear his signature "meep-meep" play every time he scored.

So the Bulls trade Deng for Bynum and first round picks.

Not sure if I like it.

Gonna miss Deng.
There was a story about amnestying Boozer, too. I wonder if that'll happen. Once they decline to extend the Bynum contract, I guess they are officially going into rebuilding mode.....

Not much of a trade, neither brings anything more than the other to the table really.

The Brazillian Blur was a great bench player, but he's probably getting too old now.

You'll like it when those draft picks turn to gold. Not sure what years they're for, but one of them is a Kings 1st round pick I think.

Boozer's contract is killer, but they're already in a rebuild after the Deng trade.

So it turns out that last night, OKC shoved Ryan Gomes into that deal, as a salary dump. He's being dealt to Boston and waived, Just like Chicago will do to Bynum.

Tonight's NBA Fan Night Game of the Week is...

New Orleans Pelicans at Miami Heat!

So NBA fans want to see what the Pelicans can do against El Heat down in Miami. Either that, or fans probably want to see the Miami Heat run the boys from New Orleans out of the arena. Enjoy some Tuesday night NBA action, folks.

Dear Suns, this is not what to say during a bad shooting night.

For once I'm going to attach an asterisk to the Pacers' win against the Raptors today, our boys didn't get in until late due to the snow storms and I think half of them were knackered judging by how they played. Pacers probably would have won anyway. Toronto has a string of 6 games ahead against sub 0.500 teams.

It seemed like forever when the Rockets last played Friday last week against the Knicks. After some time to rest, it's time to hit the hardwood again. Dwight Howard's former team- the Los Angeles Lakers- comes to H-Town tonight. Yep. Rockets going back to work starting tonight. I only hope they don't get too rusty with the long break. Then again, it may have been helpful for some of the Rockets to recover from injury. Time to hoop it up again.

Nets haven't lost in 2014. Stop the winning streak of the Warriors 102-98.

Did you guys hear JR Smith got fined, I think $50,000 for having ignored warning from the league not to untie shoelaces of players from other teams?

Good thing he's such a great player he has time to flack around. Keep up the good work JR. One of these days, Dennis Rodman will recruit you to play in the exhibition game for Hitler in North Korea.....

NY's been winning, too. I don't like it!

I read that he tried to mess with another player (on the Pistons team I think) by attempting after the other player had some words, but was caught as he bent down.

Stuff like that can be hilarious in a pick up game, but in a official game? Somebody's too relaxed.

The Rockets needed some antifreeze in the first half, but we managed to win 113-99 behind James Harden ("Big Nasty Beard" as I call him) and his 38 points. Up next for the Rockets is a trip to Atlanta on Friday night to battle the Atlanta Hawks.

Elsewhere...

* It's America vs. Canada with two cities not extremely far from each other- Detroit at Toronto. If this was America's representative vs. Canada's representative, then America failed miserably as the Toronto Raptors won with a margin as hight as the CN Tower- a 112-91 beat down of the Detroit Pistons.

* Good news is- a Texas team will win. Bad news (at least for Rockets fans)- a Texas team besides the Rockets will win. It was the Dallas Mavericks at the San Antonio Spurs. San Antonio covered Dallas in black and silver with a 112-90 victory.

* If the Golden State Warriors won tonight at the Brooklyn Nets, they would be the first(?) team in NBA history to have a 7-0 road trip. The Warriors are ballin' with a 10-game winning streak. The black and white prevailed on this night, however. It was 102-98 in favor of the Nets.

* The Atlanta Hawks got the better of the Indiana Pacers in Atlanta 97-87.

* The New Orleans Pelicans lost at home hosting the Washington Wizards. Wizards won 102-96.

Congratulations to the eventual winners of the following games:
* Phoenix Suns at Minnesota Timberwolves
* Orlando Magic at Portland Trail Blazers
* Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Clippers

Eventually another player will kick him for being an idiot. 50k isn't much of a fine. Nor are suspensions. Apparently this person is partially unable to understand what is and what isn't allowed.

Blazers missed dropping 3 games in a row, but it sure looked likely for three quarters. Nice comeback, Go Blazers!

Gerald Green
oh, I haven't been shooting well I'll just take the game winner even though coach probably doesn't want me to

Suns Win narrowly, 104-103, with Ricky Rubio coming up clutch for the Suns late in the 4th.

Edit: also, in LA, Blake Griffin doing his usual work.

Another nice offensive foul, "aggressive lay-up" from Blake Griffin. I think I might try punching people in the face and climbing on them with my off hand whilst attempting lay-ups in the future some time, see if I get away with it like Blake.
