While this is still my favorite.....

This one's decent.

This one is not bad also:

On the same topic, the Foot Locker commercials have been killing it lately. They have done a fantastic job.

On the topic of games, the Thunder beat the Lebron-less Cavs tonight. That is good. They are starting to get back in the groove of things.

Are you ready to fork over hundreds of dollars for overpriced shoes?

Even though the arena is called Sleep Train Arena, we were the ones who were asleep all game long. It seemed like we couldn't even toss the ball into San Francisco Bay. The Houston Rockets were set to fail this entire back-to-back... until Overtime happened. Yeah, our differences couldn't be settled in 48 minutes, so Overtime was needed. Sacramento just would not go away when it seemed like we had this one wrapped up. The score ended up being 113-109 in favor of the Houston Rockets. Kings fans ended up feeling like a miserable mess... just like recent weather in California.

Congratulations also to Brett's Oklahoma City Thunder on snapping the Cavaliers' 8-game winning streak in Oklahoma City.

On the topic of those commercials, I think the James Harden ones (as previously posted) are my favourites.

Kobe Bryant is currently about 31 points away from surpassing Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list. I think this will make him 3rd all-time, I believe. How would you finish this sentence:

If and when Kobe Bryant surpasses Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list, Kobe Bryant...

(examples: ...will further solidify himself as one of the all-time greats, ...will prove just how selfish he is, ...will have proven absolutely nothing, etc.)

The Los Angeles Lakers are at the San Antonio Spurs tonight. Enjoy your Friday NBA 'ball night tonight.

No one's ever called me defensive......

Edit: All three has great punchlines. "......burger's ready." "don't touch my radio!."

More power to these guys, though. If I were in the NBA, I would be pushing my brand so hard. I'd market cheap chinese kicks for basketball players (you know, big people) that have trouble fitting into the fashion sneakers that footlocker sells.

Bulls finally beat Trip City aka The Blazers.

Rose pretty much punished Lillard today in the paint. If it weren't for his 3's this game would have been a blowout.

Rose is also playing like his old form form. Really good signs.

Now this Sunday's match up with Miami should be interesting. Deng vs Butler.

I'll take the Bulls. No bias of course @Omnis. :P

Btw I still think Toronto is overrated.

I forgot they played today. Go Blazers! next time.... On the topic of shoes, when I could actually play basketball, I went thru plenty of good to great expensive shoes, and some ok at best expensilve shoes. Best shoes were never cheap though, and if you can actually go around people, good shoes made it a pleasure driving to the basket. I'd compare it to cheap tires vs good tires.

Edit: Wow, our two stars score 35 a piece, but our two bigs(Robin Lopez & Kaman) seemed to have been shutdown. Batum didn't shoot well, and Wes Matthews finishes with 10. Come. On. Blazers.

Haven't seen a game in 2 or 3 weeks. I'm going to try to watch Sunday, just to see if Miami fixed its defense. The Bulls are a good test to see if we have any kind of a chance in the playoffs. The team is not going to do it unless Spo' fixes things-- particularly the pick n roll defense.

Even through DeRozan has missed the last 7 games with injury, they're still a really good team. They're not overrated though because I don't think anyone believes they're actually contenders, not even for the East Conference where either Chicago or Cleveland would take the Raptors down, probably before the conference finals even.

Dwight Howard finally returned to the Rockets' lineup tonight. Big Nasty Beard (James Harden) logged a triple-double as the Rockets won 108-96 against the Denver Nuggets here in Houston.

I'd like to congratulate all other winners from today's games and tonight's games.

Sixers winning by 18 with 7:39 left in the 4th Quarter.... Proceed to be outscored 43-20 over next 12:39 to lose 120-115 in OT.

IT JUST HAPPENED...

Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list with 32,292 points. He connected a couple of free throws after getting fouled as the Los Angeles Lakers are at the Minnesota Timberwolves. Yeah, the franchise formerly known as the Minnesota Lakers against today's Minnesota team.

Well, he finally made history. Feel free to comment on Kobe Bryant passing Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list.

[UPDATE] 32,292 points, not 32,293.

Kobe is such a freakish human being. He is so warped. I hope his body serves him well for a long long time because he needs basketball.

Dayum, Raptors only just barely escaped with a W against New York in overtime.

Raptors had to dig deep today to put away the Magic on the second night of a back, a huge 3rd quarter from Lowry was the difference maker.
In Aussie news, Baynes had 15pts in a loss to the Blazers which equals his career high set earlier this season but this time against a relevant team.:)

BIG match tonight- Golden State at Memphis. To some people, this game is like a Western Conference Finals preview. Golden State is just ballin'. Memphis is tough to play at. We'll see what happens tonight in Memphis.

Enjoy some NBA basketball tonight.

THIS JUST IN...

...Jabari Parker of the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a torn ACL from the game on Monday at Phoenix, and he's reportedly done for the season now.

And also, the Memphis Grizzlies snapped Golden State's 16-game winning streak in Memphis. Playing at Memphis is almost like playing SEC football at LSU. No shame in losing to Memphis. Memphis won 105-98.

Congratulations to all other winners from Tuesday.

...Jabari Parker of the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a torn ACL from the game on Monday at Phoenix, and he's reportedly done for the season now.

That is really sad news for the Bucks. I was in attendance for the recent Thunder game against the Bucks and was impressed by Parker. Had he not been in foul trouble, he could have done much more damage than what he did against the Thunder.

I know, that's terrible news for Jabari, and he was easily the best rookie out there and would no doubt have won the ROY.

In more Aussie news, Dante Exum had a new career high 12pts today, good to see him being more aggressive.

The heat moved Shabazz to D-league. He played one game and scored 30 points or something and they brought him right back.

I was pissed that I didn't get to watch the game vs. Brooklyn because they had a roof leak. How the hell does a stadium get a roof leak?

More to the point, how does the brand new stadium in Brooklyn get a roof leak? The first quarter went for an hour because of that.

Houston seemed on their way to winning the game, until Aaron Afflalo hit a three-pointer to force Overtime. This one couldn't be settled in 48 minutes. 115-111 was the final score once five more minutes were added to this match. We improved to 19-5 on the season in a game Denver probably should have won. We'll take THIS victory, I'll tell you that much! James Harden had about 41 or so points in this contest.

Congratulations to all other winners from Wednesday, including the Memphis Grizzlies winning at San Antonio in Triple Overtime.

Next Thursday is Christmas. These four games tonight, however, need not any wrapping. Here is what this Thursday will bring:

* New Orleans Pelicans at Houston Rockets
* New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls (NBA on TNT)
* Milwaukee Bucks at Sacramento Kings
* Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors (NBA on TNT)

Go enjoy some Thursday Night NBA hoops, everyone.

Didn't see that one coming, at least not to Dallas. I'd rank their potential right up there with the top Western teams now. This could make them the contender for the Championship. I wonder how stoked @McLaren is right now. I hope they'll be able to gel.

Win #20 will have to wait for the Rockets. We failed tonight- 99-90 to the visiting New Orleans Pelicans here in Houston. This game against New Orleans was the back end of a back-to-back after pulling one out in Overtime at Denver. I guess the Rockets didn't have enough to tame the Pelicans.

Congratulations to the teams who didn't fail tonight.
