Eric Bledsoe for Phoenix is done for the season with his meniscus tear. I wish him a speedy recovery.

For the final NBA Fan Night of 2015, we got this match:

Milwaukee Bucks at Oklahoma City Thunder!

NBA fans who voted to see this game tonight want to see what the Thunder can do when the scrappy Milwaukee Bucks come to Oklahoma City. Could we possibly have a Brett sighting tonight? That is the final NBA Fan Night of 2015. This game is one of five on tonight.

Good luck to all of your teams.

While I will be in attendance for tonight's game, it is unlikely you would see me. The tickets I am using tonight and normally are in the upper portion of the arena.

Heavy duty scoring, but it was the Rockets who failed to defeat the Atlanta Hawks. 121-115 was the final here in Houston as the visiting Atlanta Hawks defeat my Rockets. Rockets are terrible this season as opposed to last season. Almost like the Rockets either can't win or forgot how to win. They'll have to deal with Golden State next. So pending divine intervention or referees fixing the game in our favor, we're looking at another loss when the blue and gold boys from the Bay Area come down to H-Town. And all this will mean is more Houston fans pulling for the Texans and Astros while this sinking ship called the 2015-2016 Houston Rockets continues to fail.

Congratulations to all other winners on this Tuesday night.

In our final game of 2015, the Rockets failed one last time. We hosted the Golden State Warriors and lost 114-110 to them. Maybe the Rockets should make a resolution to start winning in 2016 rather than f:censored up all the time.

Congratulations to everyone who didn't fail on this final day of 2015.

Raptors with a tough win over the Hornets today. The refs tried their best to make Charlotte win but Toronto powered through.

Please help me wish 40-year Referee Joey Crawford well in his retirement. Crawford has announced that he will retire after this season at the age of 64. Crawford is currently out with a knee injury, and is expected to return by March. Crawford, in his career, has officiated the NBA Finals in 29 of the last 30 years, missing the 2007 Finals due to suspension, and has officiated more playoff games (313) and NBA Finals games (50) than any other active referee in the league as of the 14-15 season. In addition to his post-season success, he has officiated the NBA All-Star games of 1986, 1992 and 2000 as well as the 1993 McDonald's Championship in Munich, Germany. He is also one of the strictest referees in the game, developing a reputation for assessing Technical Fouls against both players and coaches.

With Oklahoma playing Iowa State tonight in Norman, I will be missing all of the first half of tonight's Thunder game against the Hornets. Scratch that, I just checked the time for tonight's Thunder game. I will be missing pretty much all of it.

Touching video featuring the last few 90's drafted players still in the league today featuring Bryant, Pierce, Garnett, Nowitzki, Carter, Duncan, Ginobli (@a6m5), with flashbacks to McGrady, Nash, Allen, & Iverson. 19 championships combined, 8 season MVPs, 7 combined Finals MVPs.

After this season, it's possible that only Dirk, Pierce, Carter, & Garnett will remain in the league; the last 2's contracts end after the '17 season & will likely be their last. Carter will have set 19 years, & Garnett an incredible 21 seasons. Pierce's contract ends in 2018, and Dirk has stated wanting to play 2 more years leaving the 2018 as the finale. I'm not sure if Ginobli & Duncan will go 1 more year after the retirement questions last year were so up-in-the-air. Never know, though.

All the best to Joey Crawford in his future retirement. Meanwhile, in San Antonio...

The Rockets ran into a buzzsaw. Or a meat grinder. The woefully disappointing 2015-2016 for Rockets Red Nation continues with a 121-103 hit on my Rockets thanks to San Antonio. It's another win for the black and silver boys while my red and white boys might as well play for draft picks or lottery picks on this borderline lost cause of a season.

There were 11 games played today, and I mentioned one. So congratulations to the winners of the other ten games, including another beatdown- as in the Sacramento Kings' 142-119 whacking of the Phoenix Suns in California's capital city.

With Oklahoma playing Iowa State tonight in Norman, I will be missing all of the first half of tonight's Thunder game against the Hornets. Scratch that, I just checked the time for tonight's Thunder game. I will be missing pretty much all of it.

Just looked over the box score and it looks like the Thunder easily handled the Hornets.

Jimmy Butler scored 40pts in the second half against the Raptors to help the Bulls win by 2. I'm a little salty, not gunna lie.

So the Houston Rockets decided to pay a visit to Salt Lake City, Utah. Another little business trip. The hot mess known as the 2015-2016 Houston Rockets ended up 93-91 winners in Salt Lake City.

Congratulations to Monday's winners on this 10-game night of NBA hoops, including a double-digit win by the Philadelphia 76ers. Yes- that is not a typo. It isn't an April Fool's Joke. Sixers win. Honest!

Ugh, the Kevin Durantless, out due to toe injury, Thunder lost to the Kings last night. I have no idea what happened in the game because I was watching the Sooners take on the Jayhawks.

I am a bit late to the party for this, but seeing Butler beat Jordan's record for a half? Man this kid is elevating his game.

If he keeps this up he has to be in the discussion for MVP. Forget your typical super star MVP.

Edit: Butler dropped another 32 points with 10 assists. Dude is having a hot January so far. I'm sure fantasy owners are loving it if they have him.

Tonight marks the first Thursday of 2016. And to that end, there are four games on tonight. Be sure to make some plans if you hope to follow tonight's action. Here is tonight's schedule:

* ATL Hawks at PHI 76ers
* BOS Celtics at CHI Bulls (NBA on TNT)
* UTA Jazz at HOU Rockets
* LAL Lakers at SAC Kings (NBA on TNT)

Enjoy some Thursday night NBA hoops.

It was 103-94 here in Houston as my Houston Rockets took down the Utah Jazz in this home-and-home series. We did so without Ty Lawson (suspended) and Dwight Howard (back). The Rockets still have loads of work to do to return to being that team trying to pick up where the 2014-2015 season left off and return to that winning form. Regardless, a win is a win.

Congratulations to all the other winners from Thursday, including the Chicago Bulls continuing their winning streak hosting Boston.

My Houston Rockets defeated the Indiana Pacers 107-103 last night. We were up about 8-0 to start. Didn't really follow the game since.

Congratulations to Sunday's other winners.

There are eight games on tonight, two of them on NBA TV tonight. Here are those two games in case you'll be flipping through channels to find a game or two:

* CHI Bulls at MIL Bucks (NBA TV)
* NO Pelicans at LAL Lakers (NBA TV)

And here are the other games on tonight:

* PHX Suns at IND Pacers
* SA Spurs at DET Pistons
* BOS Celtics at NY Knicks
* HOU Rockets at MEM Grizzlies
* OKC Thunder at MIN Timberwolves
* CLE Cavaliers at DAL Mavericks

Enjoy some Tuesday night NBA hoops. Good luck to all of your teams.

It's another win for the Houston Rockets. Our fourth successive victory is a 107-91 win at the Memphis Grizzlies. James Harden hung a quarter on Memphis in the win- 25 points for "Big Nasty Beard" (as I call him). We have a record now of 20-19. No rest for the weary, though- we're on a back-to-back that includes the Minnesota Timberwolves coming down to H-Town as we start another two-game home stand. That home stand even includes the Cavaliers coming to H-Town on my birthday (this Friday) on an ESPN-televised game.

Congratulations to all other winners from Tuesday night, including a nice road win by Brett's Oklahoma City Thunder at the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It was 107-104 here in Houston as the Rockets won over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. James Harden hit five-digit territory in his career tonight. Harden needed only 22 points to reach 10K points in his career. The Arizona State Sun Devil ended up with 27 points. In addition, he got himself a double-double by getting 11 assists. Even though Harden dropped 27 on Minnesota, Andrew Wiggins of MIN dropped 28 on Houston. But the most important thing is who won on the scoreboard. And at least from Wednesday night, it was my Rockets.

Congratulations to all other winners from Wednesday, including a 112-110 victory for Denver hosting Golden State.

I was not able to watch the shenanigans in last night's Thunder game. Instead, I went to the Bedlam game in Stillwater last night to watch the Sooners beat the Cowboys.

A lot of good, close games today. Raptors won the London game in OT.

What a birthday present for me- a Rockets loss, and a BAD one. How bad? Try 91-77, Cleveland. I turned 33 today, and that was unfortunately how many points the Rockets were stuck on at some points of the game. Goodbye to the five-game winning streak as yet again, we fail on an ESPN/ABC game. The Rockets were not ready for prime time on this night. Granted this game was against Cleveland, I felt about as disgusted in my Rockets as I was when my Texans got blanked 30-0 by the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend in the NFL. 77 points is the fewest points scored by the Rockets in any game this season. We're now 21-20 yet still seventh in the Western Conference standings.

Congratulations to all other winners from Friday, including Russell Westbrook's triple-double to lead his OKC Thunder to a blowout victory hosting Minnesota.

THIS JUST IN...

Joakim Noah suffered a dislocated shoulder and is out 4-6 months (out for the rest of this season, basically). Horrid news if you're a Bulls fan. I wish Noah well in his recovery. Spare a couple of thoughts for him.

My Rockets won last night 112-95 at the Lakers. Congratulations to Sunday's other winners, including San Antonio routing Dallas at home.

Enjoy today's/tonight's matches also.

Raptors are now winners of 5 straight, today was the first time Lowry and DeRozan both went for 30+ in the same game, they were machines! Raptors now have a nice grip on 2nd in the East, 1.5 games clear of the Bulls. I really hope they can advance past the first round of the playoffs this season, it really feels like they've got what it takes this year. Maybe they'll even make the Conference Finals. A man can dream, right? A man can dream......

In Los Angeles, defense was overrated when my Rockets took on the Clippers on the back end of this back-to-back last night. In the 140-132 score, we were on the losing end. So we beat the Lakers at Staples Center, but not the other Los Angeles NBA team. Clip Joint won an offensive shootout over my Rockets.

Congratulations to Monday's other winners.

Congratulations to all of Tuesday's winners, including the eventual winner of the Dallas Stars at Los Angeles Kings (currently 2-2, 9:34 left in the 2nd Period).

I figured I'd do a little rundown of tonight's four games. Here goes...

* The Milwaukee Bucks iced the Miami Heat 91-79 in Miami. Hassan Whiteside had a double-double with 23 points and 18 rebounds.

* In New Orleans, it was the Pelicans who tore apart the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-99. Anthony Davis accounted for the most points for the Pelicans with 35.

* The closest game of the night was in Phoenix as the Indiana Pacers won 97-94 at the Phoenix Suns.

* Altitude didn't affect Oklahoma City as the Thunder won 110-104 at the Denver Nuggets. Unfortunately, Russell Westbrook didn't get to join elite company on this night in terms of players who have had three or more successive games with a triple-double. Westbrook had 27 points and 12 assists. He had five rebounds also.

Congratulatons to all winners on this Tuesday night of NBA hoops. Oh, and a note about last night's game between the Rockets at Clippers... that 140-132 final was in Overtime.
