At this point, I wonder if Embiid is going to play at all. Shame, I remember he was good with Wiggins in Kansas.

And LOL at Bargnani. Kings are a Josh Smith away from creating a roster on the verge of a nuclear explosion. In a bad way.

So what exactly hasn't gone to plan with Embiid, is his foot still not healed fully?
Basically, his foot is not healing as fast as they expected it to be (he doesn't feel any pain, though), so they've decided a bone graft is the best possible way to get it to heal fully & as quick as possible.

Edit* OKC has matched Portland's offer for Kanter @ 4 years/$70 million.

Portland wins this b/c Kanter is simply nowhere near a $17.5 million player. As I believe DC pointed out, for a big man, his defense is about 4-5 spots away from being the worst in league. Even Serge Ibaka can't clean up that much mess. He has a good offense, but again, not a $17.5 million/year offense. For comparison's sake, this $2 million more than Westbrook & about $3 million away from Durant....

I read on Facebook that the Houston Rockets signed Marcus Thornton to a one-year deal. This move reportedly will give the Rockets some depth. I just wish they execute better and with more consistency.

@McLaren that's hilarious. Westbrook should be the highest paid player in the league. If there's one guy that carries his team more than Lebron, it's him.

As much I like to call him Westbrick, you're absolutely right. Dude single handily almost brought OKC back into the Playoffs.

After they got rid of Kenbrick Perkins and the other losers in the trade, it seemed like Russ had a triple-double every night.

Luckily the Nets came in and "stole" him away from the Kings. Stupid Brooklyn.

Norman Powell, the Raptors' second round pick, is actually pretty good, kind of gives me hope he can make a solid rotational piece.

Part of the Dallas Mavericks' championship winning team from 2011 was J.J. Barea. Now, I read on FOX Sports 1's Bottom Line that he signed with the Mavs to a four-year deal. Not sure on the monetary terms. So this guy looks to make big noise again with Dallas. Apparently, he's 6'0" (which is my height), but he looks small. Much like how my Rockets had another 6'0" guy- Aaron Brooks.

Anyhow, it looks like Dallas is still trying to get stronger adding new pieces.

I just saw this on my Twitter news feed... Josh Smith (J-Smoove) is now a Clipper. Good luck to him with his new team.

Fun fact: All of Dallas's point guards not named Devin Harris ( so Deron Williams, JJ Barea, and Raymond Felton) were all born on the same day- June 26, 1984.. Interesting.

Today's Summer League game of the Bulls vs Raptors was the most entertaining Summer League game I've ever seen, not necessarily the most talented but entertaining none the less. Takeaways:
Doug McDermott deserved to be in the rotation last year, hopefully Hoiberg has a spot for him because he can score.
I like the Raptors youth players right now, some I hope will crack the rotation this season.
Bobby Portis is a Klingon!

Possibly our best signing this off season. JJ has said he'd like to retire a Maverick.

They still got Felton on the team? Damn
You want him? :P

It's unbelievable to me that there is no room on the Heat roster for Josh Richardson. The guy is better than at least a third of the team. I would ship off Zoran Dragic, Tyler Johnson, or even James Ennis to keep that guy on my roster.

Ty Lawson to the Rockets... in exchange for Joey Dorsey, Nick Johnson, Kostas Papanikolaou, and Pablo Prigioni. Or as some have said, "traded for nothing." The name I'll miss among the players we shipped off is Kostas Papanikolaou. Maybe he'll get more starting time or be incorporated into offense better in Denver than he was here with the Rockets. I do seriously hope Ty Lawson can turn his life around after the DUI trouble he's faced.

I read on Twitter that Jimmer Fredette signed with the San Antonio Spurs. Yep. The former BYU Cougar rocking black and silver.

Speaking of the Spurs, congratulations to them on winning the 2015 Summer League with Becky Hammon doing the coaching. What do you think of Hammon perhaps becoming a Head Coach in the future?

Jimmer to the Spurs, huh? Just another shooter to plug into Pop's soulless machine.

As for Becky Hammon, no doubt that she has the basketball mind to be a good coach in this league. And watching the summer league, she has the same Pop-like demeanor when she coaches, (it's kind of creepy).

In other news, Seth Curry's phenomenal summer league hasn't gone unnoticed, as he is now a member of the Sacremento Kings.

Of all the guards Pelicans let go, it has to be the one that balled out in Summer League

Summer League can be fool's gold, there's a reason the milder Curry (pun intended) hasn't cracked a rotation yet, he still needs to prove he can do it on the grand stage.

Whilst I agree with your outlook on SL, the depth chart for the guards on the Pellies isn't really ideal so he could've slotted as the 3rd string PG. I mean hell Seth couldn't be worse than Jimmer right?
