So, Stanley Johnson (Pistons) and Myles Turner (Pacers) were both playing pretty damn well in the Orlando Summer League. I know it's only Summer League, but those two have a real chance to fill valuable needs for their respective clubs.

They're not done everybody! Just read that the Spurs traded a 2nd round pick to the Kings for Ray McCallum. That kid played really well for Sacramento, so he's good insurance for the Spurs as a 3rd string point guard. Good trade IMO.
I hope that DJ stuff is a joke, if not then wow that is crazy
Maybe Boston can be fringe 8th seed?
I wouldn't mind that, keeping Boston irrelevant whilst not allowing them to build with lottery picks is fine by me.
I do hope Detroit make the playoffs (Baynes will have to change his nickname from "Big Banger" to "THE Detroit Muscle"
, either way he really suits Detroit). They certainly have the makeup to get there, they just need the execution.
My WAY too early predictions/hopes for the East playoffs, in rough order:
Cavs
Hawks
Bulls
Heat
Bucks
Raptors
Pistons
Wizards
The East is actually getting a lot more respectable now, you have to leave out some decent teams when you think about it, including the Hornets (who I left out because Batum had a big time down year in Portland, Kaminsky is not likely to be a big impact player plus they already have Hawes who is a similar player as I understand it, they don't seem to have a shooting guard or much in a way of power forward and depth seems to be a concern), the Magic (great core, are they ready yet? They're a real threat to make the playoffs now, especially if Aaron Gordon plays like the super athletic stretch-4 he was in Summer League) and the Pacers (Paul George is back, the rest of the team isn't. Ellis is a chucker, Myles Turner showed out in Summer League but is a very young inexperienced rookie).
Honestly, it feels like 11 teams in the East are now worthy of the playoffs, unlike last season when it felt more like 6...or less. Of course, and as much as I hate to say it, the injury bug will likely whittle those numbers.
Edit: BTW, screw trying to predict the bloodbath Western Conference.
Only three things are sure in life, and one of them applies to the West. Death, taxes and the Spurs winning 50+ games and making the playoffs.
