Next season's gonna be even worse.

Oh, then it's next season. The peak is supposed to be coming up, that's all I know. But it's getting higher per season until they hit the peak in 2018, let's say.

That's why Lebron is signing these one year deals every season. He's going to get his huge cash-out contract when the salary cap peaks.

It's projected to spike at over $100 million before the 2017-2018 season which would be next year's free agency. After that, it will drop for 2-3 years.

How the **** does Chandler Parsons get back-to-back max contracts?

Next season's gonna be even worse.
if anything, I'd argue that next season would be slightly better, considering that now Gm's should have experience with dealing with the new cap and that y'know, there's actually stars to spend the money on next year so they won't impulsively throw money at scrubs.

Glad DeRozan is back in Toronto though I never doubted he'd stay.
Dellavedova has signed an offer sheet with the Bucks for 4 years/$38mil. Cavs are unlikely to match, so it looks like he'll be playing with Maker.:)
Where Horford lands seems like the biggest news at the moment. He's the only star player that appears to be changing destination after the Dwight signing. Where he lands could shift some of the power struggle.
Pacers have quietly built a really good team for next season. Teague, George, Thad Young and Al Jefferson will form a starting line-up tough to control. Myles Turner is still in the mix there as well.
LOL at the Knicks for signing Noah.
I feel bad for Lin going to the Nets where nobody will ever look twice at him again. He should have signed in Philly and been their starting point guard for a few years until they can upgrade.
LOL at Bulls who are reportedly looking at Rondo.

ESPN has this little quiz to see where'd you land in free agency. I mean, with all this money being thrown around, why not?

I'm going to the Spurs! Not exactly sure what that says about me.....boring maybe?

I can't believe Phoenix brought this guy back. Definitely brings back memories of when we were good.

Also, it's crazy how he used to be a SG. Now he's a PF... man times have changed.

There's some reports that the Pelicans are interested in him too. :indiff: I read somewhere that Anthony Davis is a Rondo fan.

The Boris Diaw plan

NBA TV is showing Summer League action. So go enjoy some Summer League hoops! This will be a chance to gauge some of the young players for each team. It is a good way to enjoy some of the long time before even the Preseason comes along.

Of course, you can always look on YouTube or something for a bunch of videos on the NBA and even see some vintage NBA stuff. Like I mentioned seeing old videos of stuff like Shawn Kemp, the "Bad Boy" Detroit Pistons, the Rockets winning their first championship, Kurt Rambis getting decked on that clothesline hard foul, and stuff like that. So keep yourselves fresh with NBA goodness by seeing some classic videos.

Trade McBob to OKC for Mitch McGary. Failing that, trade McBob for a peanut. Sign Wade with that money.

🤬 The Nets just gave Tyler Johnson a $50 million contract. There goes our White Westbrook.

Rondo to the Bulls. 2 years, 28 million. Should be a good pickup as he is more of an assist man. I'll defer tell be getting a jersey. Rondo numba nine in my heart as I wear it, lmao.

We lost Rose but gained an assist man. Butler should shine next year. We just need another solid guy.

Tyler Johnson got a better offer than Jamal Crawford what in duh fuuuu

You want Kevin Durant? You can't have him- he's going one more season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Sike, he's going to Golden State!

Holy ****, I can't believe he actually joined the best regular season team ever that knocked him out of the playoffs, what a bitch move
This is has been by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life. I understood cognitively that I was facing a crossroads in my evolution as a player and as a man, and that it came with exceptionally difficult choices. What I didn’t truly understand, however, was the range of emotions I would feel during this process.

The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player — as that has always steered me in the right direction. But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth. With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.

I’m from Washington, D.C. originally, but Oklahoma City truly raised me. It taught me so much about family as well as what it means to be a man. There are no words to express what the organization and the community mean to me, and what they will represent in my life and in my heart forever. The memories and friendships are something that go far beyond the game. Those invaluable relationships are what made this deliberation so challenging.

It really pains me to know that I will disappoint so many people with this choice, but I believe I am doing what I feel is the right thing at this point in my life and my playing career.

I will miss Oklahoma City, and the role I have had in building this remarkable team. I will forever cherish the relationships within the organization — the friends and teammates that I went to war with on the court for nine years, and all the fans and people of the community. They have always had my back unconditionally, and I cannot be more grateful for what they have meant to my family and to me.

Welp, The oklahoma fans are going to burn their tshirts like its Lebron going to Miami

But seriously, what a 🤬 move by Durant.

That was really dumb, especially considering how OKC was the best team in the playoffs.

Well, it could be a smart move anyway. He's got a player option for year 2. That means he'll be on the market again next year for that long-term BIG TIME contract.

Man, this sucks. I liked watching the Warriors because their style of basketball was pretty beautiful. It was like the 7SOL Suns and the Spurs offense had a baby. Now it's gonna be even more amazing to watch and now I have to actively avoid every single warriors 'fan' I see.

On a side note: what'll Westbrook average this season?

On a scale of 1 - 100, how loud will the boos be for Durant when he plays against Oklahoma for the first time ever?

He might average a triple double out of anger

Speaking of the LARIORS, Them and dallas are close to finishing a trade deal involving Bogut according to a report.

Kinda speechless... Not sure it's gonna work that well but if you put yourself into KD shoes and you want a ring, GSW does seems like a good solution. Its bad for the overall balance of the Nba and the playoffs, if they managed to find places for every 4 of them.

I know GSW gonna be popular on nba 2k next year with 4 top 15 players.

It is such a weak move. Had KD not crapped the bed to close out the Western Conference Finals, the Thunder would have played in the Finals. Instead because of his crappiness in those games, Golden State was able to come back and make the Finals. Now, he joins the team he crapped the bed against? Weak!

So, in other news.. Pau Gasol joins the Spurs. 2 years, $30 million. This isn't fair anymore.

That will be a nice addition for the Spurs. Read some things that Tim Duncan is leaning towards retirement.

"Durant... come out and play-yay!" So you can has... uh, have Kevin Durant- granted you're the Golden State Warriors. Durant could have joined the 76ers or the Lakers and make them championship contenders. Maybe KD's mindset is "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Golden State just got a bit more dangerous.

Honestly, I think he should have stayed with Oklahoma City. Give yourself the best chance to win a championship and have pieces around you to make that happen. The chemistry for the Thunder pretty much got flushed down the toilet. NOW what for OKC? How do you fill the void? This almost feels like having your heart ripped out of your chest if you're an OKC fan.

This is going to be interesting, chemistry-wise because we've seen the Lakers try this formula before & it never panned out. They have no center anymore, either.

Small Ball Draymond is their center, which works in the playoffs when it counts. They could get someone like Kendrick Perkins who would be great in the role of "screensetter extraordinaire"
