Simmons' passing in his first Summer League games was pretty amazing, as was his ball handling. You can tell it may take him a few years to become a solid scorer though.
Thon Maker had a pretty good debut as well, 15pts 13reb and 2blk.

The Houston Rockets will have James Harden for a good amount of time. How long? Try an extension that lasts through 2020. So the Houston Rockets think Harden is the man for the club. At times, I do still imagine Harden in his days with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Harden's still a solid player. The previous decade was mostly about Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. This one's more like James Harden being the man for HOU. The Harden/Howard deal lasted only so long.

So yeah, "Big Nasty Beard" (as I call him) is going to stay awhile here. Now if only we can play like and have players as if we want our third NBA championship in franchise history...

Could not resist putting this here

Wow, Tim Duncan was one of the few Spurs I didn't hate. Nothing but respect for him, one of the most humble players ever. It's hard to hate a guy like that.
Still doesn't help that he was on the same team that Robert Horry was on when he threw Nash into the scoring table.

Also, Draymond Green is one of the few Warriors that I hate. Today is a strange day.

I know I am a Houston Rockets fan, but it's rather surprising to learn San Antonio Spur Tim Duncan announcing retirement. Tim Duncan is an amazing player whom devoted nearly two decades of amazing basketball play. I wish him well in his retirement. I have nothing but respect for Tim Duncan.

Good old Timmy D, retiring the exact way I expected him to, quietly.👍 Legendary.

Raptors today finished the preliminary Summer League games 3-0, there's a lot to like from what I've seen of the Raptors youngsters, but it was a real shame Siakam only played one game before spraining his knee.
Today also the Raptors signed Jarred Sullinger to a one year deal. I've always viewed him as quite a serviceable role player and a handful in the paint but some people don't seem too high on him. Luckily if he flames out this year he'll be gone the next. At only 24 I'd say it's a solid pickup for ~$6mil.

Tim Duncan retires? I'm really seeing an era ending here. The days of Kobe, Tim, KG, Vince, Ray, T-Mac, Paul Pierce, and other late 90s All Stars are coming to an end.

Oh well I might as well play NBA Live just to relive those moments. 2K may have been featuring old teams but the nostalgia factor of those teams can only be achieved when playing old NBA Live games. Honestly NBA Live 2004-2007 are my favorite NBA Live games.

Skip to the 2:00 mark of this video to see this "shooting foul" that cost the Raptors Summer League team a chance at progressing. The calls that allowed Minnesota back in to this game were also very questionable. Methinks a couple refs will not be getting NBA jobs this season....

Man... Tyus Jones is killer. He's the truth! If he brings this kind of offense to the NBA in the games that matter, he's going to be the backbone of his team. Tyus Jones is going to be tough to stop if he brings this offense consistently. So he's with the Timberwolves? The T-Wolves haven't been too much a threat since when "The Big Ticket" Kevin Garnett was the man for Minnesota.

Maybe the refs who called that foul were some of the ones from the NFL's infamous "Fail Mary" moment with the replacement refs. :)

So stoked when they drafted him. Exactly what they needed.

Hopefully the Pelicans can stay relatively injury free this season.

Yeah, was definitely a need since Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson are on the way out plus Tyreke can't really hit from outside.

Definitely keen to see the Buddy + AD combo come together in the regular season :)

I'm glad we have Olympics this year, but even these few weeks without anything NBA/basketball related is like suffering withdrawal from a drug. SO.....BORED!

I read that former Houston Rocket Aaron Brooks is now with the Indiana Pacers. One year deal, I believe.

[OMISSION] The 2017 All-Star Game reportedly will NOT be in Charlotte this season. Instead, I've read cities like New Orleans could host it instead. Part of the factors for the game being moved from Charlotte are the different LGBT-unfriendly rules and regulations in North Carolina.

The deal for Dirk Nowitzki was upped from $40M USD to $50M USD. So he'll be a bit more paid. Dirk is currently 38 years old and not real sure about playing any further than this two-year deal he signed. He'll probably likely retire a Dallas Maverick. He will also likely be in at least somebody's Hall of Fame once he hangs it up if he isn't in any Hall of Fame already.

Just another example of political correctness going too far.👎

I thought Indiana were front-runners to host ASG now, but damn thought Charlotte was going to host it for a bit longer.

I'm not someone who watches basketball, but I'd just like to stop by here, and say thank you so much to the NBA for making the correct choice in leaving North Carolina due to the unconstitutional laws there

TIL that even during a Team USA exhibition game, Oracle Arena will STILL chant "WARRRRIOOORSSSS!!"

My god i despise GSW Fans sometimes tbh.

If you love NBA basketball in London, then get ready for January 2, 2017; because the Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers will play a regular season match in London on that date. I read this will be the 7th ever regular season game played in London. This is good since basketball has a better international presence than, say... gridiron football.

So umm.... Draymond Green had to apologize today after he apparently sent something inappropriate to his Snapchat.
