I have put thought into a handicap, weight system before, but with the tuning prohibted, it's not possible. the only way you can limit a car is by horsepower. maybe a 10 5 3 reduction to horsepower is a possibility. another option is to keep Saturday night's series a no tune event and run Sunday with the same cars but tuning allowed and then implement a 25 15 10 kg weight penalty. it all depends what you guys want and are happy with. and yes Sunday was an absolute ball tearer and yet was the most fun I've had in ages. my throttle foot was cramping, eyes watering and yet enjoyed it so much. driving on a controller is so much different to a wheel bit like starting all over again but I'm enjoying the challenge slowly learning to adjust my driving style. gone from loving oversteer to dreading it lol

Id go for either Friday night , or sundays fine for me. I know Friday wasn't an option but might free up guys that are racing other leagues on saturday

Thanks Mr.Chance, I would also go Friday night - or postphone altogether as Mother;s day is something special to my missus and myself ofcourse

I'd be good for Friday too. Depends whether its not to late for manoc and autech? Happy ya back sid hate to lose good blokes like ya self. Great chase down sunday put pressure on me and it payed off.

Bloody hell, I miss a few races and all the fun happens! Friday night might be ok, depends on how late it might end up. Be good to not postphone though as I craving some racing. Divecable eh? Be good to race ya mate.

Postpone would be best for me. Can't race Friday nights (mrs would rip my nuts off) and no go for this Sunday. Family commitment takes me out for the whole day.

Thanks mate, likewise.. was a great race chasing ya - I was thinking of stopping to see if you were okay after your spin out and looking at me in reverse lol :-) but just went on with it in racing spirit... but fantastic racing emu ! great stuff mate

I want some chaos in my life 2 . White and # 1....If there's space that is.

I'm going to weld my doors shut so when I get lapped they don't blow off:scared:

this weekend will be postponed till 3.00pm the following Sunday. the start is 1 hour later as a very very important event is on that weekend. the brissy truck show. with the points being so close its the only fair thing to do. also speaking of points, my Mrs has pointed out an error. if people turn up, but drop out if have given them points for equal last place as they have made effort to come and should get something. I did not do this for round 2. so Mr Sid sham fewzo frutti egoore get a bonus.

With the new series with the round drops, maybe have a look at what to do when people do a no show. When people don't show up they aren't actually dropping points, where as someone like me and chance have shown up every race and I have to drop a 5th and a 2nd. 86 points all up. What I'm trying to say is someone can deliberately not show up for the first 2 rounds, and then win the comp because they won't drop points, where as some who turns up every week can lose out even though they committed themselves to every race.

Just a point to have a look at.

I look at that a little different. I missed the first 2 rounds as I did not know u guys existed , and this is my first GT league. I figure seeing as I have already dropped my 2 rounds before I even started racing , I can not get a bad result without it severely effecting my points. If I had started from race 1 , I have 2 potential races to stuff up and not be effected. Kind of puts me in the pressure cooker , Which I don't mind at all :)

But what if you disconnect next round in the middle of the race through no fault of your own? Then you are not disadvantaged.

The whole purpose to have dropped rounds is for those who start later in the season or those who have unpredictable external commitments so that the series can remain fair...ish.

The downside is that someone who makes it every round and consistently does well loses points.

Think of it this way, if the series was run where you could not sign up unless you could guarantee you would be able to make each and every race, and then if you missed one, you would be banned from the series, would not get many drivers I would think.

You get allocated points for being disconnected. Actually if you get disconnected and your in 6th place, mr chance gives you the points for 6th still. NO OTHER comp does that.

And no one gets banned because they can't make all the races and it doesn't say that in any original post, or anywhere in this NCR forum. Only 1 person got kicked and that was for other reasons.

all fair points fellas.the only reason the round drop was implemented was for 2 reasons. 1 the dropout problem we had in the first series. it seems a lot better now though, and 2 personal reasons. look at Mr manoc with a kid that was sick. he knew he could miss a race and still be in the hunt upon his return. only option I can think of is this. if you drop out before half way. you get equal last. after that equal 6th or if lower the position you were in. not
perfect, but your aim is to make grand final is spouse. if you have to miss a race and pm me before hand, you get equal last, if your a no show and no msg bad luck. and for those joining after the start, you know your behind before you do it and take your chances. I In a real world agree with Vh if your not here bad luck, but this is fun series with great blokes and I know from our fastest to slowest driver, you will get the same respect from all so all I'm trying to do is give every one a chance to run in an online racing series, and even though sometimes live gets in the way, when you return you still have a chance. if all want a not here no points system than that is fine, but with the way the points table is designed, if you cant attend and let me know, you will still drop 20 points and that's hard work to claw back. your thoughts please

also on the weight penalty system. if you take the spa race out. there has not been that much of a need for it. nur gpf .1 between me and auts. Rome 3 cars with in a second. grand valley first 5 within 16 seconds. I know I'm not the quickest, but when the day comes I can luck a win, I want to know I bet you fair and square. not because your car was slower. your thoughts please

also Mr hat Mr Clint and Mr dive. all the drivers are on our facebook page ncr racing ncr. please join up and put a face to your opponents and join in the madness

Hat, type in NCRRACING NCR and it will pop straight up for you :)

With the new series I hope it stays all NO TUNE. It's good just jumping in and not having to muck around setting up for each track. Maybe look at 2 tiers in the race Like 69 camaro rm and challenger rm.

I like the No Tune as well. It saves on grueling tuning hours before race :) Id like to put out the suggestion of running sports tyres ? Any thoughts ?💡

Every thing that this series is about an even playing field for everyone. We ask your opinion because it makes this about you guys and try to keep close and fun, not about winning. Chance and I talk about this things before we air them to you. Also we are usually fair on penalties and most are warnings. When this things are handed out it means you need to pull your head out and look at your self from the other side. Most of us are like minded and that's why this has worked so well. So much so that it has expanded into to race days so we can get the bloody poms in as well, god help us. As for the series it will never be a tuned one, but we do put on a tuned event. This is an 80 lap race street cars only one make from consecutive years on sport soft tyres. Which I am working on at the moment. It will most likely be a Saturday night roughly 2 to 3 hour race. Car will be revealed two weeks before race day, track tba on night of event. Well now look I have RSI from typing to much.

Oh and fulch thanks for squash ball trick have a double dot ball atm and works well :)

Glad your liking the squash ball rage :) it definetly helped me , If u feel u need more pressure u can just up to a harder squash ball. Theres also a brake spring mod I did which was pretty easy. Am going to look for a link now

ok so we can bed down next series, most of the rules and regs will stay the same but for a couple of minor changes
1 still no tune
2 hard tyres to start all single race rounds
3 top 6 from each series into a final. you will only get points if you attend and the drop out points will be as mentioned in my earlier post. to help those who might have to miss a round, the top 2 from b final also can race with the top 12, but only if they have competed in 8 rounds or more. hope this makes sense
4 steward review system. if anyone is involved in a incident and feel it needs investigation, or you think someone is cutting to many corners, you are to report it to the host via a private message after the race. the host will ask the three stewards for each race to review and ask the driver involved for their view. all this is then handed to stewards and the final outcome is final. would like to ask emu, Luke and Sean to steward sat nite, and autech, fulch, and Vh to do Sunday. thanks

can't count how many hours we have spent testing cars to give people a choice. what we have learned is that no 2 cars are the same. even when we find 2 that can both do the same laptime the tyre wear is not compatible and everyone would end up in 1 car anyway

and just so every understands what the ncr racing league is all about, I will explain. like everyone upon buying gt5 I got stuck into it.did my skills and before long was smashing the ai drivers. thought I would go online and smash them to seeing I was so good lol. well my first ten minutes in a room I hit everything and every one and limped off with my tail between my legs. stumbled on a room with an Aussie flag and here was Mr shamrock. we got talking about this and that, and within ten minutes I was given a setup coomy from someone who hardly knew me. he pointed out my faults, of which there were many, over time he introduced me to Luke emu frutti fewzo and a few others and away we went. slowly I've gotten better but will never forget the kindness and friendship shown to me by a few strangers and ever since have made my online gaming so much fun. I don't care who wins or loses, its all about the race on the way and how many laughs we can have while doing it. this series was simply a chance for me to race my mate's in a room where everyones on the same page. we each give each other rracing room and see how we go. of course we are competitive, we wouldn't do this if we wernt, but the friendship and sporting manor you drive in is far more important. so all I ask of each and everyone of you is do your best, have some fun and enjoy some crazy new window licking geriatrics that I am proud to call my friends. lol
