after review of sprint round rager and I have decided that Rome might be a bit tight for reverse grid race. so after a reshuffle. Rome will be this weekend and will be a 50 lap normal race. trial mt has been move to round 7 and will be 2 x 20lap sprint round with reverse grid second race.

Makes sense, great thinking! When in Rome.......

Yes dr no chance i agree with your comments about kicking people 4 minor or acccidental contact would hate to see stud kicked but he hit me hard and didnt even acknowlage it a simple sorry would have been nice. Yes i quite because i was fu kn pi a little emotional the harder i tryed the worse i got best thing to do was to go and calm down after all its only a game lol. Very sorry for contact with chance was on in side gased it and she pushed out wide. I also loved reverse grid vh you are a machine m8 saw you comming then saw you going lol so fast and so smooth. Again sorry for quittin guys :dunce:

You are quite right, I haven't looked at the replay was just going off memory, so maybe I'm over reacting. Just what I saw as I went past him twice looked real reckless, but as you say it's easy to take for granted the experience we have especially in regards to the stuff such as rejoining after an off, it's easy to get a hot head and bowl on out again:grumpy:.
And unless given a chance he wont learn such things.
So I take back the aforementioned not inviting him along comment, he doesn't deserve that at all. I have a very competitive nature which sometimes gets the better of me 👎

Most impressive was some of the corkscrew maneuvers, I never knew that so many cars could make it through there in one piece 👍

you should see some of the impressive corkscrew maneuvers me and the mrs perform:scared:......(all be it once a year:indiff:)

your dead right mr Manoc....an apology or a yeild in position is a must and when you don't get it it can sometimes fester and cause resentment........luckily luckily luckily we have in our NCR club, slow(Auts), medium, fast and stupid fast(me) drivers whom i believe all think along the same lines..ie great close tight fair racing and i think new guys will soon realise that this the way we play..look at mr Fulch for eg, he's just blended in as though he's been with us from the start....so i guess that what i'm waffling on about is that this isn't a Spanish free for all and no matter what were lucky to have captain chance(apparently 96 and 98 seq icecream truck driver of the year) and captain rager to keep things balanced and fair for us all....ps this is not an attack on mr Stud im just talking generally..........pss i don't know how to break text up into paragraphs:dunce:

Hello chaps
Many thanks for letting me join in at Laguna. Rally enjoyed the first race. not my best drive but it was VERY late (4am) and I appologise too anyone if I interupted thier race. I know I gave someone a knock but I did give the place back sry. was hoping for a better result but there was too many good drivers out there ;-) . As for the second race, ARGH. What a complete catastrophy. I don't understand why people had a problem with reverse grid, we do it every time in ours (which your welcome to join). Simply dont hold up those that are obviously faster than you. I was destroyed in the first lap and ended up so far behind I couldnt justify to myself a reason for carrying on. I am sorry for dropping out but thought it the best thing to do. If I had of carried on I would have got the hump even more, due to the terrible driving of some. As for stud, In my championship, anyone driving like that would be asked to return when they think they are clean enough. I agree we all start somewhere, but we didn;t all join championship races before we were ready. Some practice is deffo required. By the way, I think some lag might be involved as I was destroyed 3 times in the first lap and a half. Again sry for dropping out. would look forward to the next one. only the time differance is now extreme and not sure it's worth it unless a clean race is the majour priority.
ThANKS CHAPS

It was an awesome lap Emu well done mate. Just a quick question on car regs. I race mod it , change the oil and then all I can do is adjust brake bias right ? No transmission or suspension changes whatsoever right ?
Im sitting on 286 bhp does that sound right ? thanks guys

this will be my last post on the stud issue. I Sean have raced in your champ. in the first weekend rx8dave tried twice on the last straight to run me off the road to claim and extra place. in your review your took away his points and gave him a warning, so do I kick stud for and accident when you don't kick people for a deliberate act. as you know I drive interstate. I spend a lot of time on my own contemplating my day my week and my life. I think about allthose good and bad things in my life, the kids bills work, relationships. all the things you had or hadn't said. the wishing you were a better partner, better friend and importantly, a better dad. I eat meals alone at a truckstop wishing it was my family in the empty seats around me. but we all have to pay the bills somehow. the only time I can switch off is when I'm online with my mate's. the only thing that matters is next corner and the one after that. I will always be grateful that I have a group of mates with which to share my passion of motorsports and family that allows my brain some time off. bit like my yoga time. lol. although we come from different backgrounds, socially, economical and ethnically, we all unite in the goal. a great race online and no matter what your position on track, hopefully a good battle with someone.
wisdom is not something we are given with our first grey hair, our first child, or on a certain age. it is learned. so with the whole stud situation this is my wisdom I have learned. this year my son started his first season of football. at age 10 he is three years behind the rest of the team. at no time did the coach or his teammates tell him to go away till your a better player and know all the rules. they have trained him and put him on the field to give it a go. even though he has knocked on been caught off side and missed some tackles he is always encourage and shown how to do better. I can only hope that helping stud along in our series goes someway to repaying the debt I owe to the football club who has taken my son under their wings and given him the opportunity to do something he enjoys so much. and lets face it, if we send him off to get better who is going to teach him. the Germans I hope not.

Hi all.

I feel I owe some of the fellow racers an apology, especially Mr manoc. So just to explain what happened, I braked at the same point as I had every lap but didn’t even think about the extra speed gained from draughting. Sorry about that mate. Also I was not familiar with the proper etiquette, but Mr Chance is pointing me in the right direction. Since I haven’t had the internet in over a year I haven’t had a chance to do any racing online. I only quit and left because I felt like I was racing poorly and didn’t want to hit anyone else.

So if you’ll let me, I’d like to keep racing in your championship. I can practice on Wednesday night but will miss the next round on Sunday since I have work for 12hrs. I look forward to racing with you guys again.

that's it mate, and I had to give rager first dibs on the wheel. he threatened to kiss me if I didn't, and I would prefer to have have my nutsack roped to a funnycar and pulled down the track before a kiss from him lmfao:)

Frutti you are indeed the fastest slow guy I know... As for your corkscrew maneuvers, can you get three wide through there? 👍

Stud, I look forward to racing you this week. Spend some time on the track at Rome, focus on the back straight chicane as it is a killer to get wrong but makes all the difference to get right. My apologies for suggesting you shouldn't be invited along, our Wise Leader is right, there is no better place to learn than from guys like us.

Early braking is often useful to get past other drivers, speed out of the corner is more important than speed IN to the corner. If you look at a replay for Mr VH, he doesn't take the corner any faster than some, it is his smooth braking and smooth turn in which gives him those lap times.

As for this weekend, I think Emu is in for a shot, he's looking bloody good at the mo.

I turned a few praccy laps last night around rome. Really looking forward to my first enduro with you guys. This will be a steep learning curve as far as race strategy goes. Seems I can do about half the race on softs before they become too slow.....hmmm to start the race on hards or softs. Im guessing theres no one winning strategy and people run in varied tyre strategy??
Anyways im down to 1:13.150 on softs and 1:15.029 on hards. Hope to find someone with simular pace :)

best advice I can give Mr fulch is two people have started on soft and got no advantage from it. in the longer races it is all about consistency, no so much about outright speed. pick a speed where u can make your tyres last and go from there

and yes Mr frutti I did get the Mr whippy award a couple of times. but I came unstuck when they put some new flavours in the back a didn't tell me . now it turns out that when a male customer orders a golden gaytime I don't pull down my shorts and piss on his head. the things you learn every day eh.

This is why I'd always race in the NCR series. It's all about enjoying the drive with your mates, having a good Sunday arvo bash up session at Daytona after the serious racing finishes, and having fun. It's not about winning every race, it's the enjoyment factor for those 2 hours on a Sunday.

1:14.582 on Hards after 10 laps to warm em up. Softs best I could manage is 1:12.773. I like a car to slide a bit so prefer hard tyres, comes from all the road car racing I like to do.
Interesting result though as we usually say 4secs between the hards n softs, what is everyone else getting?

all good stud, its not easy first up and can take awhile but all great guys who will help u as much as they can. the more we all do it together the better the racing gets. the drafting is hard to get the hang of and with the close racing when it goes wrong it can end up ugly. from what ive seen u have some great speed. laguna is a very hard track as soon as ya go wide and tyres get dirty ya lose so much more. reverse grip is puts extra pressure on trying to watch fast guys comming through. when you get into your first door handle to door handle battle with someone you'll forget about where you come and go **** that was fun. and thats why where all here for the fun. looking forward to a run with ya. cheers emu
p.s. autech think u might want to rethink whos going to be on the money this weekend i remember last race at rome my money would be on bogan daddy or a new guy who joined think he drives a girly pink car now. from memory he put wrong tyres on in pit stop but was
battleing up the front till then.

Bogan Daddy is proper fast, but after practice last night the MANLY pink car got smoked by the new kid on the block. BRING ON SUNDAY!

notes for round 4 turn 6 is a no overtaking zone. if you have not got it done by half way down the back straight let it go. first couple of laps please be might ful of your actions. people at the back will have to watch their braking as the person in front might brake early for the car in front of them. as this is a street track, and I promised autech lol, it will be a rolling start. 2 extra laps will be added to race distance. lap 1 is to warm tyres and lap 2 is to line up after turn 6. no mucking around on these laps please. when the field hits the main straight, our pole sitter will keep it around 80 kph. somewhere between the pit entry and start line he is free to gun it and away we go. if anyone wants further explanation please feel free to ask. good luck and see you Sunday at 1pm or 3pm in nz. same time as last week
