all I know is after last night 8 cars have all shown speed rage emu shamrock fulch Vh again autech an myself are very close. if we all keep it clean Sunday is going to be a cracker. can't wait

notes for round 4 turn 6 is a no overtaking zone. if you have not got it done by half way down the back straight let it go. first couple of laps please be might ful of your actions. people at the back will have to watch their braking as the person in front might brake early for the car in front of them. as this is a street track, and I promised autech lol, it will be a rolling start. 2 extra laps will be added to race distance. lap 1 is to warm tyres and lap 2 is to line up after turn 6. no mucking around on these laps please. when the field hits the main straight, our pole sitter will keep it around 80 kph. somewhere between the pit entry and start line he is free to gun it and away we go. if anyone wants further explanation please feel free to ask. good luck and see you Sunday at 1pm or 3pm in nz. same time as last week

Rolling start should be awesome! I do like my street circuits, less grass to fall off on!

OK , so when we roll out to the track after qual , we do 1 full lap and then line up on the 2nd lap in qual order ? Once the race is started after that it will be 50 laps to run ? Still getting my head around these starts :P

we all line up like normal. when we start of grid first lap is to warm tyres second lap is to line up and go. basically, we do a 52 lap race but the first 2 laps don't count. they are to get ready. just something we do to spice it up a bit and to keep Mr auts happy lol:)

yes yes hard and clean. unless the driver next to you is in a yellow car hahahahah:grumpy:

it seems some of you might be looking for a change in time for the race. here a my suggestions and I need yours as well. Sunday morning is out. the poms and Greg race then. Sunday nite is out unless we start around 5pm otherwise to late for auts and manoc. sat after 5pm works so maybe start at 7pm or something like that. the other idea is leave the race car series where it is and have a separate street car series on sat nite. looking forward to your thoughts and ideas.

and Mr Sean please give me a rough idea of what works for you and Gary so rage and I can take that into consideration as well

Bieng a Nooby here I will be happy with what the majority decide. Im thinking of starting the pom series with Greg aswell ,and the sunday 1pm time here suits me fine. If that changes I will adapt :)
When I first met you guys I lobbed into your server and you were racing recommended cars from the garage and all having a turn in picking the next event. Looooved it (especially in the rain) If theres interest in your option Chance of a 2nd series, Id throw a vote in for as many rounds as there is drivers, and every driver have their turn at picking one event for the championship , setups and tyres locked with recommended cars only. Points calculated at the end , and an all expenses paid trip to bali for the winner. OK maybe not the prize but the rest sounds like fun :)

LMAO , I like your style Fewso. BTW who is this thirstyferret , and why did he ruin my race last night :scared:

i can't race saturday nights as there is another series that I'm apart of that's about to start. Any time after 12pm Sundays I can do but that's about all for me, sorry.

I think for the time being that we keep the series at the same time as we all can make it.
Fulch the other "series" is actually a 80 lap race with banter while racing. The cars of choice will be notified one week in advance and track on the night.

Hmmm... Race day. Will be a tough slog for me today I think. Only 1 small practice run on Wednesday night, don't know how long tyres will last or fuel and on a track I don't particularly like. Looks like this race will be a duell for the win between emu and chance and maybe even fulch judging by his pace on Wednesday night. See you all at Rome.

First of all Bad luck to all that dropped out. Thats really gotta suck and I guess has to be put down as a mechanical failure.
Absolutely Stoked to get a podium finish !! on the 2nd last lap I was leading but was outclassed in the company I was with. From the start things were going to plan as autech took off on softs and I suprised myself to be running with VHmik as autech slowly pulled away. I took every advantage of running with VH as I knew he was fast and I really capitlised on the draft. Was doing everything to run with him and at times I did catch , I chose to bump draft rather then pressure as I was hoping for us to both pull away and battle on the last few laps. I couldnt believe it when I noticed Sidfire sniffing for a draft , where the hell to you come from mate. Awesome laps there to reel us in. Knowing Sid was obviously quik I sat back and tryed to stay out of the scrap that was going on right infront of me with VH and Sid , and just "be there at the end" Some really clean racing there as we slowly pulled in Autec who was on hards for the 2nd stint. We brought him in with maybe 10 laps to go and he tryed desperatly to hang onto the draft which he did for a few laps , good effort on hards. 3 laps to go and it started to look like elbows out a little for me , vh and sid. Still extremely clean but a bit of paint swapping now going on :) Hit the lead with 1.5 laps to go but just couldnt hang onto it. Sid then VH then ME flying into the the last 3 turns on the last lap , and we pounce on shamrock to put a lap on him. Sid jumps through really well as VH and I probably had the same look on our faces. (noooooooo) Shamrock keeps it nice and wide for us as we roll on through and 1 2 3 over the line. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!! well done to all finishers. This is a great place to race !! Cheers guys

Well done Fulch. My strategy would have worked if I hadn't of mucked up and hit the wall big time losing over 10 seconds, very frustrating, but that's racing.

You guys were battling hard which helped me keep up, Rome isn't a track where there is a big difference between softs n hards. Race craft is a hard thing to learn, I suggest all of you watch World Super bikes and Motogp, Moto2 etc. Being on one set of tyres for a race those boys learn when to overtake, when to make a break and how to ride/drive defensively. I try and keep that hat on while racing and always plan my overtakes with that in mind. Glad you're enjoying racing with us Fulch, should be an interesting competition with all of us racing so closely.

points are up pending review. please note second table now has a two round drop so from here on you will all know exactly where you stand. please remember the top 6 at the end will battle the poms.

had a shocking start. trying to Get use to the new wheel. I just started getting some consistent fast times in when the net dropped out. oh well bad luck 4 me but great tester the new wheel and seat setup. great battle up front. well done top 3

Yeah I was wondering what happened there Mr Chance, hope you get used to it soon. Points are looking interesting...

I very nearly didn't make it to the start of the racing, fiancee's mate managed to lock keys in her car at a wedding expo they were at. I would have left her to it but my lady's riding gear was in the car (helmet and jacket), so I had to drive to her friends house way out in the boonies, get her keys and get back to where they were... Broke a few traffic laws, but it was worth it :D. If anyone reports a maroon Ford Mondeo for breaking the sound barrier, it was Autech on a mission to race with his buddies.

was talking to the weather man in Italy and he has hinted there might be a chance of rain during the race. hope he is right

UM.....he.ll yeahhhh. May the skys open up and pour bucket loads :) Clarification of tyre specifications please Mr chance

tyres remain pretty much the same qualify on hards. he said that session would be dry. lol. still only one set off soft for race but can use as many sets of wets, inters, or hards as you want. can start on wet tyres if raining at start of race

just want to clarify a few things, as we have some new fellas wIth us now. this series you can start on hard or soft tyres, or wets if raining. there is to be no blocking. the lead car can choose the inside or outline coming up to a corner, but can not move back over. you are required to use mirrors or rearview to keep others cars in your view and drive accordingly. but above all, remember the goal of this series is not to win, its to have fun and challenge yourself. also braking is starting to get untidy. if your not in a position overtake, brake a bit earlier and use the draft up the next straight.

This should be great with a chance of rain. I have a senario that needs a little more clarification sorry. The race starts in the rain , Driver puts intermediates on , Rain stays at a level all race that intermediates can handle, is there a compulsory pit stop in the rain ?
