Sounds really nice. Cams are something a lot of people overdo, then when they idle it isn't very practical anymore. Yours seems quite fine in that.
Nice converting a follower, C6 missionary šŸ‘

Haha yes! Everyone I know that used to talk down C6's always seem to change their mind when they get into my car .
Ya, the best part about this cam is that it sounds aggressive enough to sound quite intimidating but it's still incredibly streetable.

I agree, overcamming is a common mistake with first time engine builders. However, certain levels of performance require that "barely-able-to-idle" specification.

I really like your corvette man.. I've been seriously debating buying a used Z06 to replace my current summer ride. I'm guessing you would recommend it?;)

I would definitely recommend it! Drive one and you will love one!

Okay. So my buddy's dad has a built C6 Z06 running a 438ci and Vortech V3 T trim on it until he dropped a valve and decided to build an all motor setup on the 438ci.... Nasty car.. Anyways, he decided to put his supercharger up for sale and I thought, why the hell not... Let's b

oost the Vette....

So the Vette is getting dropped off Dasilva Motorsports on the 28th to be boosted. I absolutely cannot wait. Apparently this kit is good for 500rwhp on a stock LS2 Corvette... Anything above 550rwhp and I will be delighted!

So in a little over a weeks time, the Vette will no longer be naturally aspirated!

Oh and here's a video of the Z06 when he was running the supercharger on it....

 I got an itch for booost and this is making it worse
I bet some time from now you'll get even more power hungry and we'll see some turbos ;) here's a local car called "darth vette"

Whoa, that Vette will be lethal.:D I wish we had such a selection of muscle/sports cars in Australia.:indiff:

yeah, that took long enough. Very stupid burnout video when leaving the shop or it didn't happen!
Possibly. I'm not one for doing big smokey burnouts anymore though. That's what the Camaro is for haha. But I'll definitely get some pics and vids of the car when it's all done. Gonna need to go to a Z06 widebody conversion on it next though. I think 355's out back are going to be needed.

Hey everyone. Finally got the car back today after the supercharger install.... Let me just say that I am beyond impressed with the numbers this car pulled... 646RWHP..... Ya, so a 740+hp at the crank car... I just drove it home in some damp weather and lets just say it's a tad bit terrifying.
Anyways. Here's a pic before it was all put together. I'll have more pics and more videos come this week.

And here's a video of the dyno run...

Needless to say I still can't get this huge smile off my face....
Next up, Meth injection and then a Z06 widebody so I can run some 355's out back!

holy hell anything over 600WHP is pretty crazy on a street car, now you definitely need some better rubber. Now I want a 'vette.

Awesome congrats!!!! :drool::eek:

Sheesh 400-450 can be a handful on the street. Anything over 600 is a massive handful. Last car I drove with that much HP was my neighbors sons Viper with 650hp and it was dang near impossible to control even in 4th gear with huge rear tires. Very dangerous on the street. What are your plans for tires so you can plant the power to the pavement???

Thank you! Yes it's pretty crazy. Anything below 5th gear is a handful and scary. I plan on going Z06 widebody soon so I can run sticky 355's. Thinking of NT05's. In the meantime I'm gonna see how long my current rears hold up... Hopefully I can make em last till the end of the season....

NT05's are a great choice, hook real good on the street. Know some guys who have 600+whp Nitrous Camaro's and they love their Nitto's.

:0 snot. I haven't visited this thread in a while, hadn't seen the numbers. I thought it was gonna top at about 550 or so, but 650 wheel is impressive indeed! I think NT05's will not do, you'll need drag radials in this thing just to get by. Just don't drive it in the wet. But you already know that.

I have Nitto 555 Extreme on my 69 Camaro and yes I love them. Been running those tires for over 10 years now. When they die, I will buy them again. šŸ‘
Cant remember what tires my neighbors son is running on his Viper. They were having a hard time hooking with the 650hp.

I'd say go with cheater slicks. Basically drag radials with the minimum DOT approved tread pattern. No wet driving.

Only problem with them is they wear out fast if you launch all the time as asphalt tears the šŸ¤¬ out of them. They do hook alright.

Drag radials that aren't cheater slicks would probably fair you better though.

Thanks guys! And @Cano, I honestly thought it too was gonna top out at around 550whp. I was literally blown away when it pulled 601 on the first pull then on the final run the 646 just blew my mind. I'll take a photo of the dyno run. Right now I'm taking tire suggestions for this car so everyone feel free to tell me about their suggestions. I'd love to run some meaty drag radials on some weld wheels but remember, this is my daily driver. I drive it in the rain too!
I know a few high horsepower cars around here that run NT05's so that has me leaning towards them right now. But I'm open to suggestions!

As suggested above I highly recommend Nitto's. VERY good in the rain, they get very sticky on road tracks, and work very well for daily driving. I have had mine on my 69 Camaro for 10 years and when they die, I will buy another set. Mine are Nitto 555 extreme.
