Wrong, I've enough experience to say that in a full lobby with 16 players is always one to draft
Yea saving all up to last 500 meters and your opponent cuts over grass and wins.. that's the beauty of online Nascar
An opponent who cuts over grass will get reportet and kicked!

From what I'm hearing in order to make 40+ laps with a setup good for 35 laps it comes down to driving. You need to draft to save fuel, drive the proper line, get off the gas round the turns and most of all avoid losing the draft for the entire race. I'll try this tactic the next time I run a 40 lap or 75 lap race.

Yes that is true.The 50 lap guys are using a partner to help them also. I can't race online so I'm pretty much stuck until I can get a dance partner.

I'm one of these 50 lap guys and I do all by myself without a partner.
But yeah, it would be easier with a partner.

So if your one of them and people are asking how you do this why do you not post your setup? Actually when we go back online I would personally like to race you and the other 50 lap guys in a 50 lap race and see how good you all really are.Are you all up for it,my PSN name is there so hit me up when Sony figures this out.I'm calling you all out. I am pretty close so I want to see for myself and we will post the results.It's put up or shut-up time boy's.
Any Nascar, racing soft, no aids,no ABS, no ballast, grip reduction set to real.

I would like it and I'm ready to do it, but you should know that we need enough other players (drafting is the most important, you know). And don't blame me or the others when we only can reach 47-49laps, cause we run out of fuel. A 50 lap race doesn't happen every time, everything must fit together to do it.

I am well aware of the situation and just want to put this to bed.Lets just say I want to prove a point.I have my drafting partner and we will see if my/his 30 lap setup beats your 50 lap setup.Should be interesting.There are enough people on here saying they can do it, so do it. My setup is used by lots of people.It has been proven consistent. Your's or any other 50 lap guy,not so much.You say you have a 50 lap setup so if you run short I guess it's 47-49 lap setup.

I'm down for that. I race Nascar three or four nights a week, in fact I think I've raced betterplaya once or twice. Slump, when you go to practice at Daytona how many laps can you run going full throttle? When I do it I can go 37 laps and then I run out of fuel. If I had fuel I could go maybe two more laps. I may have just as good a setup as anyone and just need to learn to drive differently. Also when I run those 37 laps my lap times are around
42.4". I can set it up to run 42.0" but can only do 33 laps. If you haven't tried running full out in practice now is a good time to do it now that we are off line..

It is a 50 lap setup. Tire wear is not a problem! 50 laps are easy when i can draft the whole race to save fuel.
Saving fuel is the big deal!
No drafting=unable to save fuel=no 50 laps without pit stop!
You see not the setup is my problem, the opponents are, or have you ever seen a setup which saves fuel?
Ask whoever you want, everyone will tell you the same.

I can run without drafting about 40 laps. My times without drafting are at the beginning 42.XXX and around lap 50 high 43.XXX.

I'm sure 8 of you can get in my room and I can get 8 of us to join.You have your 8 and I will get my 8.Clean racing no aids etc,etc,etc.
If anyone is interested and wants to do this,I will gladly set the room up.

But honestly, no one will give you a tune for 50 laps. You have to find the right setup by yourself.
With my own setup, I can go 50 laps with race soft tires. The tire wear is not the problem, the fuel consumption is the big deal. You have to draft the whole time to save fuel.

When I started racing nascar, it wasn't my goal to have a 50 lap tune. I wanted the fastest and this is why I tried Krautfelds tune. Yes, it was very helpfull.

And why can't you do this, when it's so easy?The yellowbird tune is 100% done by myself and a couple guys reportet that it is the fastest YB tune on GTPlanet, yet.

Okay, we have had 55 posts on this Nascar topic and no one will give up any setups that can approach 50 laps at Daytona. Thanks for nothing.. If you are not will to post the setup to the world how about a PM. I swear I won't post it anywhere.

Wow did this ever get interesting. Big Daddy if you are running 36 to 37 laps you are there my man, the rest is in your right foot and your wheel. Pace yourself. Killerjimbag is correct in that if the room has good racers and can run really hard laps, a 50 lap run is usually not going to make it because tire and fuel useage is going to become a big problem. Also if 3 cars make a pact and run hard together and are running laps in the high 39's low 40's the 50 lap run is dead. dr_slump you are correct also in that everything has to fall into place to run the 50 lap. It is not easy because I have run the 50 with no pit, and i have fallen victim to the charging pack. But that is why they call it racing, nobody knows how it will turn out till the last lap.

50 laps, gimme something more challenging? just kidding! I race with guys, who do 50 consistently, iin my rooms, ive never really ever asked them for specific numbers, they wouldnt tell, anyways. I figured it out on my own, i can remember, when i could only go 17-18 laps, tops, on softs, then i tried medium racing tires, on the front only, now i use soft only. Keep tweaking! Eventually 50... i can tell u this, tho, draft, and the quality of the racers around you, are the key. Capn
