Does anybody know if it's posible to remove the racing line? I'm seeing it in every video and it's one of my least liked aspects of the game, visually.

You cannot, but it's borderline necessary with some of the ridiculous paths they have you taking. I hate racing lines but it's easy to ignore until you need it. Which you will. The minimap is not clear enough with some of the road design.

I'm very impressed with the engine sounds! Simply stunning!

If I could make ONE thing different in this NFS I would give it the "SLIDEY CARS" cheat from GTA V!!!

That would make the handling SO much more fun and the drifting SO much more amazing!
(Even in a racing game without manual transmission)

Aside from the entire game being online?
I mean against other players. All though there is other people there's no way to let's say... Pick a random event and then play the event with other human players.

Like in The Crew or Need for Speed Rivals.

Ah I see. Yeah, I mean you can challenge people but yeah there's no hopper style racing I guess.

Well i played this game for 6 hours. My garage looks like this: Mercedes GT, Honda Civic, Toyota Trueno and a BMW M2.

I hoped that the tuning in this game is brilliant. But now i can say it's half finished. The performance tuning is good. My GT have 900+ps and from 0-100kmh in 2,6 sec. BUT: There are no rear bumper, no defuser, no body kit, no mirrors, ... The list is long. There are only 5-6 cars with complete tuning. There are so much exotic cars (again) and you can do nothing with them. So where is the unbelievable tuning in this game?

I don't like the ghost city. When i drive through this city i get bored after 10 minutes because there is nothing to do after you collect the free parts, the photoshoots and the donuts. Online player don't react on your request for a race. The cops are a joke. They drive so badly and it doesn't make fun to challenge them. So what can i do in this game after the story? Nothing...

It's a pity. This nfs is going to be one of another boring need for speed parts. This 10 hours is enough to finish the game. I'm happy that i only paid 4€ for the ea access and that's it :)

Is it really that bad? Geeeeeeez :indiff:

It's not that bad. His negative points are fair but can only be treated as opinions rather than fact. Not having cockpit view is not an issue to many, likewise manual, night time all the time is just what underground did. The only opinion he has that can present as fact is the AI, which is actually poor.

This game will really vary person to person, some will love some will hate some will criticise without ever playing it.

^^
That is simply the worst review I've ever seen - he's just trying to find something to moon about because he think he should obviously!
Anyway this is ONLY his personal view!

I love the cutscenes and the music for example!
But the best part in my opinion is the engine sounds! Spot on!
The worst part is not having manual transmission.

Don't post in here often, but I thought I'd weigh in on this game since it's getting it's fair share of varied opinions online. My thoughts of the game haven't really changed that much from the beta. I love the customization in it (even if it is limited in higher end cars as well as some lower end cars too, like the Volvo 242) and the graphics, sound and car selection are all fantastic. FMV love it or hate is a throwback to NFSU2/MW/Carbon and I have to respect that. There is promise in NFS 2015 and it's a step in the right direction for Ghost after Rivals (albeit a small step)

There's just too many annoyances in it for me to have an enjoyable experience.
  • No manual transmission, wheel support, cockpit view. This is a racing game in 2015. These features should be all present IMO, especially the first one.
  • No way to create your own lobbies or settings for multiplayer, no quick join of lobbies to get into PvP. Instead we get a completely convoluted system in which you'll basically never get a match of PvP going unless it's against friends
  • Dusk to Dawn night cycle is undynamic, different areas have the same lighting each time you visit. (The hills at the top of the map are always at dawn, for example)
  • Always online for no good reason, and considering it is always online, why is there no multiplayer lobbies? If they're gonna make it always online, you better support the online aspect of the game. Instead we get nothing.
  • Only 79 events in the full game. 79. Considering there basically is no PvP (or very limited) this game is going die soooo quickly. Little single player content + no PvP is such a bad combination.
  • Rubberbanding AI - they even said they'd fix this from the beta. Nope. Still there. Still blatantly obivous. Unless there's a day one patch for it.
  • Empty open world. There are collectibles, but only 12 of them are meaningful. (free parts) The rest of them are vista locations (in which you can't even take controlled photos at) and donut spots. Wow. There's also very little going on in the world - it just feels so empty to drive in. In a game about car culture, you'd expect little hubs of activity, car meet ups etc. But none of that is present.
  • You'd think this game would have a photomode like DC/FH2 to show off the customisation/graphics. Nope.
  • Stop the phone calls, mid race please. It's a constant barrage which is really infuriating.
  • I don't think I've seen one dry road in the game. Makes the environments even more repetitive than they already were.
etc, etc. Too many frustrating things take away from what's good for me to enjoy it, unfortunately.

After reading all the impressions here and on GAF, yeah thanks but no thanks EA. Might pick up a cheap copy next year but the game doesn't interest me at all.

It's a lot better than the disappointment that is Rivals, besides, a 10 hour campaign is a lot longer than most games today.

As terrible as this game is overall, the only reason I ever wanted to play it was for the customisation. So as long I can enjoy customising my car and free roaming I will still buy it on PC.

I feel bad for XBONE owners, sounds like the game can't even hold 30 miserable fps. Hopefully the PS4 version holds up a bit better.

I wouldn't call the game terrible. It's definitely better than rivals. It's just not anywhere close to the levels that some people hyped it up to be.

I really hope this day one patch will be mega in the sense it fixes all these problems. This game has potential to be the one to revive the NFS series and it be a shame if the issues are left ignored.

The day 1 patch is already implemented in the EA access trial, unfortunately.

So how does online work in this game exactly? Random players just pop in your world and if you happen to cross their path you can challenge them? And it depends on them to accept/decline the race?

That is such an archaic system. I expect a lobby where you can select races with a group of friends/randoms (like HP 2010), and also an online free roam mode where you can do challenges and such (like MW 2012).

Only 79 events is ridiculously short too. Coupled with poor online and 5 car limit I struggle to think what to do after 1 month. DLC can only help so much.

Agree that location dependent time is annoying, it's just so unrealistic and breaks immersion. IMO they should make the time static (always night) and the weather dynamic. Instead we get the other way around :banghead:

About the empty world - I made a comment earlier in this thread how it looks like that from gameplay videos. Shame it hasn't changed. Considering Ghost is basically ex-Criterion, I was hoping we would get a lively bustling city like Paradise City or Fairhaven. I'm gonna miss collecting gates, jumps and billboards :grumpy:

So anyone wants to share how the story progress ? I have a feeling Spike will be jealous of the players

Yes, Spike does get jealous that Magnus Walker races against you and gives you his 277 Porsche.

Also, Travis is the Outlaw person, which makes sense, as he seems like the most shady guy of the group and he rarely wants to hang out with you and the other characters.

Yep.

Good points here. I agree the multiplayer has gone backwards, especially when you look at something like MW 2012 (which is frowned upon by most) actually has more of a multiplayer than this game - it had lobbies and private matches, you could even join a lobby dedicated to PvP events! Also agree about the lack of gates, jumps and billboards. This game still has a large part of that burnout handling system in it, then why not fill the map with some of the collectibles and challenges that actually made those worlds fun to explore?

Now instead we get to do donuts in random places and look at our cars in a vista (but not even move them or take a picture of them). Yaaaay......

It's just like people will never be happy with what they are given.
I mean we got some amazing cars with a decent amount of customization and some absolutely stunning engine sounds!!

People are complaining about the game being too easy and too ugly and too dark and... Jeeez!

The game is great for what it is - free roam, great customization, incredible sounds and a solid handling model.

Why all the hate!?

EDIT: The people on Xbox One that complain about the FPS, just need to do a "Hard Reset" of the console and it runs just as smooth as on PS4. I've done it myself!

I have conflicting feelings about the game. Ever since that first teaser back in May, I've been really looking forward to NFS 2015 and I didn't come this far only to wind up not playing it and I can't say I didn't enjoy the time I spent with the beta and 10 hour trial. However, there are some glaring flaws that just cannot be justified such as no manual and online only. It's very difficult to defend this game when its issues are brought up and quite frankly, I don't blame anyone for trashing it.

My only valid complaints, though, is the lack of offline mode and no pausing. That is quite huge wasted potential there. Manuals would be great for authenticity and exhaust popping, but its pretty much dismissible imho especially on Arcade games.

But otherwise, its great.

THANK YOU! Someone had to bring this up. Moreover, this is only the first instalment of a franchise reboot so obviously it will be short on content and features. I am just grateful Ghost Games are taking the Need For Speed name back to the style of gameplay where popularity in the series peaked and even though it is not perfect, it is much better than carrying on from Rivals and has the potential to be improved in future releases.
