Again at above...why does Origin specifically call it "speed points" then rather than "cash"? What else could this mean? The bit I quoted was directly from the tab that clearly says speed points, so what are speed points if there is only "cash"?

I believe it's because that was also how in-game cash was called in Rivals.

Ahhh...it's the points you get from doing the 5 ways to play thing...makes sense now, soo...we can use these rep points as currency too? So then what does this mean: "Save 10% on all in-game purchases made with Speed Points" if speed points are the points you earn from drifting, racing, near misses, cop chases and winning races along with cash...what can you "buy" with speed points? It's either a typo or there are two currencies, your cash, and your rep which you use to buy...crew members? I dunno.

It seems that the in-game economy would be basically similar to the one seen in Rivals. Just one currency that you earn while doing various stunts and completing events.

That I wouldn't actually mind, pre order bonuses should be stuff like this, not exclusive content.
I don't mind exclusive content from pre-order.

...But only because Russians are lucky gits that can buy pre-order edition games from the shelves of a game store, along with the regular editions.

I might give the new NFS one last chance to redeem itself when it comes out, but if it gets strangled by EA in the usual way, then NFS is completely dead and buried to me.

With the floaty physics,
Because watching some guy play the game for a brief amount of time in a single car is a great way to determine how it's driving physics are gonna be.

overly dark environments
It's not like it's night or anything.

a soundtrack that's...wow...I can not stand that song lol.
I think we can agree that music is going downhill these days. That's just to be expected.

I quite like the first song they had in the trailer. One by Aero Chord IIRC. But I definitely agree for the second one. Hopefully the soundtrack is a bit more diversified than just primarily modern rap (what I like to call "garbage") with the odd bit of EDM thrown in.

(C)rap amirite?!?!?!?!

Only thing I'm disappointed about is if the car roster will be lackluster. Only cars that even interested me so far was the Hakosuka and the 180SX, other than that, there seems to be the typical "FAST AND FURIOUS BRO" cars with some supercars trickled in.

It seems to be a varied list, ranging from old skylines, to old porsches, to new BMWs and E30s, to Subarus and your average street tuner cars, to the occasional muscle car and supercar.

I'd quite like to have a go in the 930. But the Hako has me pretty excited, especially with the works flares and Wats.

This is what happens when you can't be bothered to type out "electronic music" on your awful tablet keyboard. :D

Anyone know what car is behind the white BRZ?
Looks a lot like a 370Z.

Edit: Actually, yes... It has to be a rocketbunny 86.

Anyway, I've been waiting 10 sodding years for a new Underground style game, so I'm extremely excited about this game. Definitely a day 1 purchase for me, based on the gameplay footage.

No it's definitely another BR-Z, not a 370Z after close inspection.

Oh *beep* nvm you realized it.

I thought this was a 'returning to the roots of NFS' game, and left horribly disappointed. I guess I should've expected such with the Rocket Bunny and RWB signs.

i apologize for the double posting but, despite what i just said, they have gone back to their roots for a couple games now. To be honest I think its about time that they went back to this. I liked rivals, and the passed few games, but with this being probably one of the longest times they spent on a NFS game in the passed few years, I see hope for it.
