The game to me is visually stunning and the customisation looks great but I really hope there is actually enough to do. Racing then driving back to the shop then racing then driving back to the shop will get real repetitive real fast. I want a reason to explore the world like finding garages with new unlocks in Underground or (dare I say) finding cars in Most Wanted 2012; even if that game was pretty bad over all it was so satisfying finding a better car to switch out and drive around.

Brake drift option? Sweet, solidifies my purchase because we can actually customize that. Just hope there will be specific rooms for that online.

I stand corrected...wow, ok, this is partially GOOD NEWS!

However, that whole "session starting in" thing is not a good sign...wait timers to join a race? Or...? On the race screenshot, it says it again, and again on each one...is it the amount of time online races have perhaps?

Anyway, this is partially good news...however, handling, breaks, tire pressure and steering behaviour is only a small part of what we want, this is what I wanna see, this level of tuning options, if Forza Horizon 2 has it, surely NFS15 can as well:

We don't need sim levels of tuning in nfs

partially

Are you seriously STILL nitpicking? How is it just "partially" good news when your main complaint (among many, MANY others) was the handling physics? Are you just trying to find ways to put the game down before you've even been given a chance to play it and even after one of your main bones about the game was shown to be fixable in game? Wow.

2 things. One the instagram images of the PS4 version? 2nd, is there direct feed footage of the gameplay demo?
Im super pumped for NFS this year. I don't even mind the dynamic camera. Im also feeling some of the
stylized lighting and flares remind me a little of Split Second.

It's the time left before a race starts. Pretty much everyone online racing game ever has this.

They might actually be doing the thing in Shift where they had a simple tuning mode for basic handling changes and a complex tuning menu for individual adjustments.

Of course, this is just a guess, but that's definitely possible.

Has a livery editor been sighted anywhere, or is it just pre-set stickers that we know of?

They have the pre-set wrap that was showcased but there was another different icon right next to that one that we can assume would be a "custom wrap" option. Nothing official though.

I think it's fair to say EA has gone down the crapper. They made a few good sports games, including one of the F1 games.. I think it was 2001.. and an older game called 4D Boxing.

The original NFS was pretty good... but man, I gotta be honest here: when I think of EA, I just think of developers sitting around milking customers...

They've lost the massive following they've had... and I think that largely has to do with the vision they have over there or lack of. :boggled:

It boggles me to no end, so as to why they changed their strategy and outlook on NFS from a realistic driving experience to a glamorous and glitzy game which is all about cops and car chases, sliding around...smashing into stuff while listening to crappy "doped up" commercial music.

After Porsche Unleashed, every NFS game they've released is just a re-release with new graphics, cars, STORY and more sliding. I think NFS should be married off to Burnout and call it a day already!

IMO, the original Need for Speed had the BEST music, the BEST track roster and the MOST exotic, sought after car collection at the time. Oh, and do you remember the engine and exhaust notes? They were legendary, given the tech that was available at the time.

Would be nice to have the dyno feature again.

The dyno feature was 10/10, I don't care what anyone says but hearing my car rev before getting on the dyno was mint

This is a hype train thread, pls stop

Times change, games change.
NFS had to change to keep customers, they kept on with it in a street racer theme, largely embraced the rice culture with cars, and IMO I thought they did it quite successfully until the latter part, personally I lost my interest in the series after ProStreet was released, playing Shift with their release bugs really turned me off the franchise.

Also hasn't most sound in NFS games been on point?

But in reality, wasn't NFS always about cars, customisation, cops and drifting?

NFS started off as a "realistic driving game" for people who want to obsess over exotic cars while racing in exotic locations. The very first one had it all - slick presentation, great car and track roster, good visuals (at the time) and engine audio sampled from the real thing.

Sadly, that never fully evolved and some douche at EA decided NFS should be an arcade pick up and play title when NFS II came out. Lost interest right there and then. PU was pretty good, Underground was good fun too. That's it. Moved on.

For a fact, I know NFS will always be more recycled garbage every time a new one comes out. Personally speaking, I own some of the best driving titles I could possibly want.. and NFS is not even on my consideration list.

Stupid EA @@#$%^!

Whatever it was or was meant to be NFS is what it is. Honestly the oldest NFS game I played was HP II and I don't know how good the old NFS games were, but it is what it is. I also think it isn't recycles garbage. The setting is different, the cars are generally different and each one is graphically better than the last.

Define your definition of realistic.
NFS was always going to be an arcade racing game, not a driving simulator, they tried that, and ultimately failed.

I started on NFS 3, whats the difference between that and the first NFS you played? Nothing except on a hunch maybe the addition of cops and some new tracks? I don't know about you but if the physics from this game was realistic, I'd be very scared

All the aspects of the game pointed for it to go down the arcade route, Underground and it's second instalment lasted me for ages, quite a long time till GT4 filled that hole.

NFS15 is probably going to be just like the descriptive words you said in your first paragraph, take it for what you see but if they can nail the online segment of the game I'll be very interested in buying a copy of this game when it releases.

Please. Only going to say this one more time, chill out!

You seem to do nothing but target my opinions with a flaming pitch fork. I am getting tired of it but won't let you drive me away from this community. I am entitled to say what ever I want, wherever I want, and If like what i see, I like, if i don't like what i see, i don't. If you don't like it, ignore me or block me, but to be fair, I seem to be only 1 of a few people here being genuinely critical and when i see something i actually do like you still attack me for it.

Also dude, I didn't even say ANYTHING negative in my post...all I meant by "partially good news" is because to me it's the first positive sign of this game that WE (a community that i thought enjoyed racing games...) were going to get proper tuning. Also, you completely attacked me over nothing, all i said was, and I'll quote again:

Anyway, this is partially good news...however, handling, breaks, tire pressure and steering behaviour is only a small part of what we want, this is what I wanna see, this level of tuning options, if Forza Horizon 2 has it, surely NFS15 can as well:

Hmmm...don't see anything negative about what I posted there, so no idea why you are trying to wind me up. All I was saying, once again, keeping it reallly easy for you to understand is...if an arcade game like FH2 can have it, then surely and ARCADE GAME like NFS15 can have it. Yes FH2 is moreof a simcade game but you may as well apply that logic to NFSU2 seeing as it had full tuning options and a dyno and test track....

@JASON_ROCKS1998

FH2 is NOT A SIM GAME! Not at all, what sim games do you know of where you can do 150+mph OFFROAD in an Ariel Atom? That's impossible you would barely be able to handle the car. Also...NFSU2 had a full tuning setup options, a test track, AND a dyno tuner, and that was an arcade game completely, so I've no idea what point you are making. My point is, customization both performance and visual needs tuning put in place with it, to make it complete.

@ImaRobot

I was asking if that was just to do with online or that happens with all races...after looking again and see it's to do with online race countdowns, which is fine.

TL;DR for those that have a problem with me. I feel more positive towards the game after those screenshots and I want to continue to. I don't "doom the game before it's released" but so far so much more from E3 has been convincing, I want this to be good as much as every other one of you, I wish you guys saw that.

Not sure what it is, but still not feeling the game, it looks amazing when it comes to graphics but need to see a lot more to be convinced, also need a car list.

@Krakenous And I'm sure there will be full tuning. I'm just saying it is not necessary. It was a nice thing to have in NFSU2 but I, personally, never used it. Not once. Ever. So I really don't care if it is in NFS15 or not...
