I'm fine whatever the next Burnout game would be but traffic checking needs to return. Paradise had traffic checking but it wasn't as great as Revenge. They were going for realism though.

I have a feeling I may have mentioned it somewhere, but I would definitely prefer it if they kept Burnout and NFS apart. I believe Most Wanted '12 was a conglomeration of the two and from what little I can remember of it, the game as a whole just didn't feel right at all.

We seriously want new Burnout more than NFS, real honest.

This. It still pains me to see most of the Criterion team absorbed into Ghost (unlikely to ever make any other game except NFS). The core creative Criterion team is off doing their own extreme sports game, and they have also said it's unlikely to make another car game. Burnout Paradise is the only Burnout game that I've ever played, but damn it's one of my top 5 racing games of all time.

As long as the developers don't try to combine them into one game, that is.

*cough* Most Wanted 2012 *cough*

I thought MW 2012 was quite fun. Basically Burnout Paradise with real cars. But yes, I agree that they are better off as separate games.

Problem is since Carbon the only good NFS was HP 2010 and MW 2012, and they both have a lot of Burnout elements in them. I'd rather take a good quasi Burnout NFS than mediocre "pure" NFS like NFS 2015.

My problem with Burnout style gameplay is that there was always some game-breaking car that was ridiculously quick while also being a juggernaut.

*cough*BurnoutParadiseNighthawk*cough*

As always with these kinds of racers, it depends on the driver. Back in the day I have beaten unskilled driver in Nighthawks with lesser cars. Also in MW 2012 my proudest moment was when I beat a Venom with a DB5 :D If both drivers are equally skilled, then you have no chance. But IMO rabbit cars are less of an issue in arcade racers than sims.

Dan
I've never played Burnout, but please tell me it looked somewhat like an F-117 Nighthawk. Please.

Sadly no. It's based on the Camaro (new version), but it's been modified to look like KITT (the rebooted version of Knight Rider), complete with deployable wings and front strobe lights and sound when boosting. It's the fastest accelerating car, 2nd/3rd highest top speed and strongest non-truck/SUV in the game. Also good handling and quite agile for stunts. So naturally it's the choice of noobs online :P

There's also a Back 2 The Future car based on a Countach that hovers when boosting. God that game has so many fun DLCs :D

That looks awesome!

I always thought the Montgomery Hawker Mech was the choice for noobs online. I can remember the Hawker Mech being the OP car since it can change its Boost type aside from the Carson Extreme Hotrod.

It wasn't uncommon to find teams online that consisted of nothing but color-glitched Nighthawks.

I can't remember anything of the sort. Then again most of my online experience was done before the DLCs started rolling in. Mostly played it to get all the challenges, so having the fastest car doesn't really help since it's co-op.

Boost switching on the fly actually takes a lot of skill. Also stunt boost is the most versatile anyway so the feature is a novelty at best. The Extreme Hotrod has locked boost which makes it very fast, but very hard to handle.

By how much skill is needed? I didn't bought the Boost Specials pack due to the price.

I find the Aggression boost type to be better than Stunt boost type since its a throwback to Burnout 3, Legends, and Revenge.

Well that hit me hard, I remember beating people in my Paradise Car's sometimes. If they were skilled I wouldn't have a chance at all. From what I remember exactly the car was awesome for takedowns, other than the Annihalator Street Rod (beat the Island Pack), many interviews of the devs, said the DLC cars would be more better than the regular cars that you get at stock, but my favorite pack is the PCPD Pack, which added more Police Cars. When I play this game now, I get more annoyed about so many players that use that car in lobbies, though I typically use a class or two lower than others, I just want a more better challenge than others.

Hey at least the original original Criterion folks are looking at a knockoff Burnout (if they get the money, that is...).

I'm glad they're still making games though. No wonder why Theo is playing their game Dangerous Golf in order to help them make enough cash to make a new Burnout game.
So EA forced them to continue working and supporting the Star Wars franchise? Looks like EA is becoming Disney by milking Star Wars.

I got this for the PC, and nearly completed it after 2 days.

The customization options are pretty cool, but that's as far as it goes for this game I feel.

The game is just way too easy, I've yet to encounter a challenge, although for some odd reason the AI suddenly picks up some pace in time trials.

The GT86 is an awesome little bugger.

They should've just done an updated Hot Pursuit including tuner cars.

The police in this game is just useless. Why is it even in the game when they cannot follow you for 5 seconds? Hilarious...

Oh, and where's the storyline? It's laughable, with cringeworthy acting to boot.

Overall I feel this is the weakest NFS I've played so far. Just horribly put together, and laughably easy to sum up.

I'm pretty much only enjoying the customization options and the car sounds...

Oh, and for some strange reason the road surface keeps glitching out on me every now and then. My car will just fall through the map, and it'll take an entire minute before it respawns my car. Highly annoying...

It's just pressing L3 to change boost, but deciding which type to change to on the fly, with the fast paced gameplay in Burnout while dodging traffic and takedowns is quite hard for most people to do effectively. In any case, most people have a boost type that they like anyway, so they will just stick with that. That's why the feature ends up being a novelty in the Hawker Mech.

That is such a shame. I've said this again and again, EA should've let NFS die instead of Burnout. Or at least alternate releases.

On the good side, at least this way my memories of Burnout will remain pristine unlike NFS where it has been dying a slow and painful death with every release.

When changing boost type, will the boost that you earn by driving skills will be retained?

The last time I played Burnout was in 2008, so my memory is a bit sketchy  IIRC your boost bar stays the same length when changing type. The only exception is when switching from Stunt/Aggression to Speed type, because the Speed boost bar is shorter so you lose the difference.

Yeah. Except the fact that NFS 2015 forces you to be online.

What if i dont want to put up on other people grief for a moment?

What do you mean by hatein?

Also defines terrible. Could be either skill or an attitude.

Im saying that so many peiple are sayin bad stuff about this game i love it i have a crew i race regularly with. I would recomend this game to anyone. I still need help tuneing to get my fsstest times. Naturally you reach higher tears of people theres not many faster than me but there out there i run 112 flat at legends i gt a friend who runs it in 110

The game was built around a lot of poor design choices leading to it playing like complete ass and not being very enjoyable. Sure, the game may be tolerable for some but a lot aspects like the always online platform, and the overly "assisted" driving model (car suddenly snapping into a drift with infinite momentum) make the game very frustrating.
