Who of you will be purchasing this for PS3 rather than the sooner-released PS2 version?

For me, usually the best version on ps3 would suit me but with the ps2 version being released next month and the changes being little on the two different platforms, (save for the graphics) there is little point to me waiting for the PS3 verion that has been delayed until March.

Who knows, further down the track I may change my mind.

Neither PS3 or PS2. Xbox 360 ftw!
 
I was just playing the PS2 version of this game. Oh, man, is this game a stinker. It's worse than the previous versions. This series is getting worse, which I didn't think possible.

But then, I never did like the series. Rent before purchase.

I wouldn't say I loved it, but I was suitably impressed with it. I didn't expect much for NFSCarbon, but I did enjoy the demo somewhat. The Autosculpt was great, the drift physics were not, but it was fairly fun. It looked pretty slick on my aging PS2 as well, which is always a bonus. Nothing special nowadays, but great graphics for a PS2 game.

i dont know about anybody else but i get SO excited when a new nfs game comes out. im gunna preorder this week. as for the cars, i am so greatfull that they finally have some good cars in there, especially the muscle cars. and from what i saw on the website, stupid wiggers wint be able to rice them out. I cant wait to pwn some noobs in drift and sprint. all your gunna see on there is people that have been faithful to nfsu2 online ( like me ), little 12 year olds, and people who saw tokyo drift and think they can drift perfect. my only question is, is it onine. its probablys stated on the site or even in this topic but i still need to check. well thats how i feel about it ( but im actually talking about the ps2 version though. probably no different but oops anyway.)

^ I think all versions are online, if not, at least the PC version will be.

I believe the X360 and PS3 will be online too, along with the original Xbox. I'm not as sure with the PS2, since it wasn't in Most Wanted, and I'm pretty sure the PSP, DS, and cellphone versions won't be online...
