Tried this via Origin Access Premier today. Great game so far, getting vibes from both NFSU2 and Most Wanted. It's not in the league of FH3/4 just yet, but definitely a major step forward from the drivel that was released in the past few years. 👍

The power went out when I was on the Pause menu. I went to do chores and came back to see my TV and PS4 both off :)

Didn't get much done anyway...

2015 - 2/10 (straight up trash)
Payback - 5/10 (sort of okay)
Heat - 8/10 (so far so good)

I need to play Heat a bit more to form a concrete opinion, but so far it’s actually quite good, I’m genuinely shocked to say that about a NFS made by Ghost!

A score out of 10 for each?

NFS 2015 (4/10)
NFS Payback (6/10)
NFS Heat (8/10)

NFS 2015 was a very hollow experience for me. I kinda liked Payback in the beginning but got bored quite quickly. Heat feels closest to a combo of NFSU2 and Most Wanted to me.

To be honest 2015 had the better atmosphere/vibe than Payback (I'm not talking about the characters or cutscenes). Payback had better controls and various things here and there but lacked the feel that 2015 had. Plus I disliked the upgrade card setup. Heat is good so far but I've had about nearly 10 game crashes and the game seems to punish you severely when you're just starting out. I'd like it better if they scaled the cops according to your current car/performance level. I also prefer the drifting physics of Payback to Heat but they still need work on the responsiveness since chaining multiple corners is next to impossible.

For those of you who've had game crashes, are you on a disc or digital copy? I'm on a disc and I haven't had any issues at all.

Who's running the GTPlanet crew? Just sent through a request
That would be @rallymorten...on PS4, anyway. I joined that crew as soon as I saw it; it should be at level 50 meaning I can purchase that FXX K soon.

EDIT: What do you guys use as your main drift car? Mine's a Polestar 1. (pic coming soon)

What parts are you using for the drift cars in the beginning of the game? I use my starter bmw with pro drift update (suspension, tires) and drift mode acceleration but the car is just horrible to drift. As soon as i get on the throttle the car oversteers like hell. No chance to hold a drift longer than a second or two. Pretty frustrating. rest of the game is great so far

I used the Focus with speedcross parts. That car is just easy to drift. Drift parts will do well on the Focus but with speedcross parts it's even easier.

Been streaming Heat since I got it this Saturday and my God, I love this game.

Ironically my only gripe is that drifting feels janky in this game. Perhaps it's a price we have to pay for grip handling being viable again?

C63, and didn't had any problem with drift so far, pulling combos here and there, at least enough to complete all challenges on hard. Full drift set up.

NFS 2015 (6/10)
NFS Payback (1/10)
NFS Heat (8/10)

2015 has had a real great vibe and holt my attention to the end, I even attempted some prestige races, but gave up, too much time has to be spent. The real problem it has, is total disbalance with cars and cops were a joke.

I have a digital copy and can't play the online mode at all. As soon as I start a race the game will crash. Doing solo mode seems to solve the issue. Haven't had any problems until I reached lv50. First I thought it was due to cars being to fast. But on solo mode I have no problems racing 400+ cars.
Playing on Xbox.

Also I just noticed this now...

NFS15: 3/10. I'd rate this game lower but to be honest it only wins me over with presentation and the car customization. Aside from that I loathe this game with a burning passion.

Payback: 5/10. A bit better handling than 2015 (at least when playing Payback it doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out with a fork like NFS15), but unfortunately the game is ruined by EA being very MTX/lootbox-happy in 2017.

Heat: 7.5/10. Easily the best Ghost NFS game, only issues being that the main story ends really abruptly and the drifting feels a bit janky like I said before.

I used the Focus with speedcross parts. That car is just easy to drift. Drift parts will do well on the Focus but with speedcross parts it's even easier.
Thanks, I will try some different parts. Feels like I am having to less grip now, even for drifting

Since we're apparently doing this and this isn't the sort of question where I can make an elaborate, in-depth answer only to get snipe'd and decide it's not worth answering anymore, sure, I'll play along. I'll even go one better:

Rivals: 5/10. Almost immediately, Ghost were on an interesting track for game development. Take an idea and explore it to the max, the idea in this case being "Hot Pursuit 2010 but it's a seamless, open world". Besides Ferraris, it doesn't really add much beyond that, and the game was possibly the most rushed release since ProStreet. A game I wish they'd done more with.

2015: 2/10. Yeah, it may be photo-realistic (apparently) and the characters may be the sort of people that actually inhabit this social space in reality, and given that this wasn't really a thing in any previous games, I guess I'm obliged to give it the same "take an idea and try it out" points I gave Rivals, but.. I either have a problem with those people or Ghosts interpretation of them. Given what can be read across the internet, I have a strong feeling it's a 50/50 or thereabouts - works for me. Also the handling was outright garbage, gameplay was dull, cops might as well take inspiration from that one scene in Tokyo Drift and just not bother, the setting felt like the apocalypse had just happened and all that talk about "urban car culture" fell flat on its face the moment the game launched. TL;DR: should've stayed an internal tech demo and Donald Trump would've never been elected. That's a joke, in case it wasn't obvious enough.

Payback: 5/10. For as much of a Burnout Paradise clone as it was (and it was), it was at least a step up in just about every truly significant way. Yeah, the acting was a bit "bad cringe" (but then again, Spike (why the 🤬 has my brain decided to remember his name!?) and the gang were personifications of "horrible cringe", so..), the story was a bit OTT (which, full disclosure, I kind-of liked. More on that later) and the graphics weren't quite as pretty, but at least there were things to do in the game now. I feel like that's more important. It also gets a few bonus points for *that* segment in Double or Nothing and I'm disappointed they didn't do more with that, in this or Heat. Gets knocked down a few for its fast-and-loose attempt at microtransactions - while I can entertain the idea of improving your car by racing it, it'd need to be a lot better than this. This was clearly implemented because EA wanted to see how much money they could shovel out to their shareholders. 🤬 that.

Heat: 6/10. Takes everything the previous games did well, makes them work with eachother and.. that's about it. It never really gives you any sort of "wow" feeling, 'cause you've seen it all before. On the other hand, aside from art direction (much like the whole roots-of-NFS thing) apparently being an argument you can turn on and off whenever you please meaning you never have to commit to it, there's also nothing glaringly wrong with it from a game design perspective. A bit buggy, yes, and that is worth keeping in mind, but.. someone's going to say "bUt aLl GAmeS laUnCH bUgGY", but that's not really an excuse. It does also get a pity-point for doing references to more than just Black Box games - in fact, as far as I can tell, barring a few signs and the Legacy cars themselves, there's no reference to Black Box at all. Good. That particular b-word was stroked more than enough in the previous games. All in all, Heat is the most solid base of the lot. Now they just need to start building the damn house already.

Also, for anyone still asking about the PS4 crew, I'm putting up some sort of thread later today. It'll hopefully do the trick.

A score out of 10 for each?

NFS 2015 - 6/10. Ideal atmosphere and amazing lighting. Gameplay was poor and was short on content.

NFS Payback - 7/10. Major improvement in the gameplay, but step backwards in terms of atmosphere. Relatively high score since I didn't mind the speedcards and the restoration builds were fun to complete.

NFS Heat - 9/10. Almost the perfect NFS game. Too many positives to list, but the story is a bit short and lacks a memorable mission like Skyhammer from Payback. However, I do appreciate there is plenty on endgame after the story, and PvP isn't even in the game yet!

I really do hope they put Ai cars on the map in free roam so we can race them or do outrun like in NFS UG2.

Nfs heat is actually fun and is the best nfs since 2010.

I hope in future updates they bring in the circuit track racing from UG2 that was a neat feature to be honest.

Ug fanboys and mw fanboys can keep on hating on this game they are really missing out on a good game due to their nostalgia glasses.

Turns out my personalized trailer is sitting there for a week.

Enjoy. My concept is a simple, widebody BMW M3 to be a predecessor of BMW M3 GTR from Most Wanted.

Don't you guys find pitty the main car (the K.S Polestar 1) isn't avaliable to buy after the prologue?? I think it's the 1st main car we can't drive post story :(

NFS 2015: 7/10
NFS Payback: 3/10
NFS Heat: 7.5/10

I can't give Heat an 8/10 because the game doesn't seem good enough to warrant such acclaim. I would for the fact that it's a lot of fun, but all things considered it doesn't stack up compared to Gran Turismo or Project Cars. But you're probably wondering, why have I put 2015 above Payback? Well, 2015 was a big step forward from the awful Rivals and Most Wanted 2012. I liked the customisation, the cars, the map and the overall atmosphere. I was reminded of Underground 2 a few times. Yes, the physics were questionable but I was able to live with it for the most part. Also, no other game I owned at the time had a livery editor, so I spent hours doing that. I had high hopes for Payback; I expected the physics to improve and the story to be a bit more developed, but the game fell flat in both areas. The drifting was even worse, and I really struggled with it. I only played the game 3 times and never touched it again. In fact, my brother sold the game it was soo bad. (He got it in the first place) We still have 2015 lying around, so I think that says it all.

My bet is that it'll be in a DLC car pack, along with the KS cars that are otherwise exclusive to the deluxe edition and pre-ordering. That's like, five cars, there - enough that I'd imagine it'd round out a DLC pack.
