My bet is that it'll be in a DLC car pack, along with the KS cars that are otherwise exclusive to the deluxe edition and pre-ordering. That's like, five cars, there - enough that I'd imagine it'd round out a DLC pack.

the deluxe edition can be purchased separately, doesn't really makes much sense to have another pack of existing K.S. cars. My guess is the K.S. Polestar will return as a "abandoned car" like in Payback.

I could see it being good for those who didn’t bother with the deluxe edition, unless you mean to say that you can “upgrade” to the deluxe edition if you have the standard edition. Even then, there’s the factor of the pre-order K.S. Lancer Evo.

There is a deluxe edition upgrade pack that cost $10 and the K.S. Evo X is included. The pre orders seem to give an additional K.S. Evo X in green and black livery while the deluxe edition one is white and green for Xbox, white and orange for PC and white and blue for PS4.

Is there any other way of getting the FXX other than joining a crew? I hate these type of online only unlockables because once the servers go down in the future they're gone forever.

As far as I'm aware the FXX K is currently only available via the crew level. Though, I'm sure once you unlock it you can purchase it as many times as needed and it would still be around (provided you don't run into that glitch I hear has been troubling a few players).

Unpopular opinion: NFS Heat is the best NFS.....since NFS Carbon.

For post Carbon NFS, NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 is good but I place it at second below NFS Heat.

To be honest, I don't think that's too far an unpopular opinion. Many persons will still find something to hate about it but it definitely has many positive views within and outside the NFS community, and that's something that hasn't been seen often in the last few NFS iterations.

I bought a Testarossa and a Honda NSX.

With the engine swaps I can put a V10 into a Testarossa how sick is that!!!

This game continues to surprise me honestly.

I love this game so much that i am thinking about Deluxe Content update. Does anyone know if Deluxe edition will get all future DLC for free like Payback did? If yes i will definitely buy this.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it looks unlikely DLC will be included for Deluxe Edition owners.

If I remember correctly, Deluxe Edition owners of Payback were only given a slight discount for the Speedcross DLC with no discount for the car packs.

Some wholesome NFS news:

..is this the bit where I - once again - emphasise what a combination of being able to play the game no-strings-attached, having no BS microtransactions and not promising the moon when you've historically barely delivered rubble and then actually delivering.. I'll go ahead and give them Everest. Not quite the moon, but certainly the closest we've been this generation. Where was I? Oh yeah, and then actually delivering Everest at least can do to the reception of a game?

Or is this the bit where someone decides above-referenced, well-reasoned cynicism (in my usual sarcastic style) before release means I'm a "hater" and I should feel bad for having somehow "lost this argument" because "Ghost have prevailed over your narrow-minded BS" or something? Hah, funny, I'm the narrow-minded one.

Either way, good for them. For once, the positive reception is justified. See? I'm not talking out of a body part Ghost aren't. Oh no, I may have made several multi-tiered jokes in a NFS thread, oh God, nonononono don't post tha

Mmm hmmmm
Now erm... did you really have to write a bible on the subject? We know you don’t like this series and that’s fine, but I don’t know why you need to rub it in
More make other people feel bad for their choices which were to purchase the game
It’s our decision to buy the game, not yours. If you don’t like it then feel free to explain why, rather than basically slandering everyone who bought this game

For some reason, given the contents I clearly laid out in said post of mine, I find this ironic. Particularly the highlighted bit.

If you don’t like it then feel free to explain why, rather than basically slandering everyone who bought this game

You want a bible on my stance on a game I too have bought with my own cashmonies and, as recently as the previous page, called a "solid" (not-IGN-)6? Sure, knock yourselves out. Most of those points stand so far. Be warned, if you though the post you quoted was long, you've got another thing coming. Don't say you weren't warned. S'got pictures, though.

But hey, what do I know? I only sold my soul to the devil by preordering and subsequently has taken it upon my shoulders to try and get some organised events going in a dedicated GTP-crew. Yeah, I hate the game. Obviously. Can't possibly be the case that Ghost has (finally) made a decent product and that that specific post was mostly a jab at other people being narrow-minded. Again, somewhat ironic.

This message is brought to you by The Emoji Movie, because sarcasm is extremely difficult to comprehend regardless of how thick it's layered on.

On the one hand, it is understandable to have reservations on modern NFS games considering the nadir that the series has been in.

On the other hand, your dripping sarcasm really wears thin when it coats every post you make.

I'm not a fan of people who abuse sarcasm to a similar extent observed in how the new Star Wars movies rely on nostalgia.

But that aside, is the online any good? I hear you mostly get dropped into a world populated by other players, and if you happen to enter the same event, that's when you'd race against each other. And that you can shake off the police if you see a player with higher heat, too, so that sounds neat.

I feel as though I am reading a post continually going through a Hot Wheels loop of sarcasm and sneering until it eventually gets out and rams into the point of the entire post.

On ps4 crowd seems very silly in this regard. In nearly full lobby maximum players I had witnessed joined is about 4. Most of the time it's you and one random guy.

It's fun anyway, especially considering the fact, that host determines a difficulty of AI, races have potential to be the top challenge to anyone inside, from lowest to the top if difficulty set to hard. About the police, sometimes there is enough units for everyone, and at least one car will stay on your tail, it's all also depend on an overall heat level.

You also can enjoy yourself with randoms just riding around, pretty entertaining free roam.

What exactly is the issue with sharing an opinion? Why would you feel bad that you bought a game that someone didn't like?(not that this is even what's going on here anyways.)

This always confuses me - Everyone's all for constant, endless praise, but mention drawbacks a couple times and people tend to throw a fit.

For those of you who've had game crashes, are you on a disc or digital copy? I'm on a disc and I haven't had any issues at all.

PS4 disc copy here, only encountered a grand total of two crashes during my entire playthrough of NFS Heat. Aside from that the game's been smooth sailing so far.

That's pretty annoying. I'm not into online gaming much so I'll just hope to sneak in a crew somewhere and not get kicked out for inactivity. Can you even create a crew by yourself? I imagine it's a huge grind to get the level required by yourself but technically it's doable no?

The game automatically assigns you to a starter crew without you having to do anything. Mine hit level 50 in about a week. It's really not a big deal.

I saw someone on ytube using photo mode. Where is that mode located?
On PS4, hold down the R3 stick; a press is a snapshot, a hold is photomode.

There are so many bits of the UI that are underexplained. Like, why do some of the races I've definitely done have yellow exclamation marks instead of ticks? Why does my car sometimes have a pink icon that looks like an engine, even when the health bar is full?

Thanks, I wouldn’t have ever figured that out. And I agree, so much in the game I don’t understand.

edit: is there a replay mode hidden somewhere as well?

It is weird that the game didn't explain a lot of stuff, most of the stuff are explained by youtubers or community found it by trial and error. As for the 2 questions:

  1. The exclamation marks are races with additional difficulty but completing both difficulty doesn't get rid of the exclamation mark (probably bugged).
  2. The pink icon on your car is because you completed a High Heat event and have unlocked a new performance part but you will need to get back to safe house to keep it, the only time I remember they talked about this was in a interview back in Gamescom. Don't think this is mention in any of the UTH they released.

A couple of things. The exclamation point just means an event has two variations. Events that haven’t been done yet will have a solid circle and completed events will have a crest.

You also always keep volatile parts from Heat races, even if you get busted.

Need everybody's opinion here. Do I sell Modern Warfare to get NFS Heat or should I wait another month? Is it worth it?

This game looks amazing, looks like the best NFS game since Carbon.
