I think it’s naive to pretend that with NFS barely being out less than two weeks and within that time frame T10 and PG acquired all the licensing required for this to happen. It’s not the case, so you can rest easy my friend. They’ve been after Toyota long before NFS Heat was even an idea I would imagine, before even the most recent Horizon being out.

This. Part of my job involves dealing with licensing things in the games industry and it's very very unlikely that they started and completed the licensing process in such a small time frame, especially when you consider Toyota's recent history with videogames.

So, of that second set of Aux. Parts, which do you think are best? I could see the part that earns you drift being especially good for a drift build. And I could also see the part for inflicting/taking more or less damage to/from police being good for less bulky vehicles. (Isn’t there a stat for that? Something like those SUVs and pickups should be more durable and deal more damage than a hatchback, right?)

I’m also not sure if the part that increases both nitrous duration and power is as good as picking the part that increases one or the other. These three parts, I’d imagine, would also best gel with how you’ve setup your nitro, such as if it’s a bunch of smaller tanks, or one big one. Do we also know how power/duration is affected with different setups? Or if, perhaps, some of these factors are constants?

EDIT: I could see the nitrous refill part being especially good for if you have larger tanks, which may take longer to fill, and even more so if you haven’t picked any of the parts that accelerate nitro regeneration when jumping/drafting/drifting.

I'm riding with one big nitro tank and imo is much better that some little tanks combo. Small nitro tanks feel not significant boosts, and if you use them mostly on long straights you feel no gain, usually burning two at once. One big is regenerating as long as three small tanks, so I see no point to use anything less. Small tanks may be good for a drift set up, to shorten small straights between turns in a combo.

For a support passive part I use lowering damage and for an active - quick repair. Well, for a day racing thinking to use slipstream nitro refueling, because repair kit kinda have no use in this time of a day.

So, any notable changes after patch? Have forgot to answer a question about performance here, I'm using PS4 slim and has had only one crash, but getting some disconnections at start up from time to time. Probably optimization for normal version is better than for Pro.

Plus to add, drifting at night is a very bad idea honestly. How should I manage to evade on a full drift set up? Every more than slight turn move always ends in a perfect drift, but this not helping to run away, mostly helps cops to catch up quickly and destroy me at angle.

What if you use smaller nitro tanks with the parts that increase nitro duration, power, or both?

I thought you could only pick one passive part, and one active part? I.e. you'd only be able to swap out the repair kit for either the instant nitro refill, or the killswitch jammer, as those are all active parts, with the nitro drafting refill being a passive part.

Haven't tried it yet. 9lb tank is a quite a big one and powerful, not to mention 12, actually can't imagine how it will turn out. But smaller combo would be in theory more doable.

Yeah, I’d imagine a setup with more tanks that are smaller would benefit most from those parts, since I understand that the main draw of using larger tanks is both increased power and duration, in exchange for needing more time to regenerate and potentially having less tanks overall. Not to mention that smaller tanks seem like they’d be better for when there are shorter straights in an event’s layout.

So NFS heat deluxe version is on sale at 41.99$ on PSN right now. Until 12/2

I guess this reinforces my theory that nobody knows how to replicate the color correction filter from MW05 any good.

With that said, I've tried it and couldn't get it to work either.

Don't know if anyone here does troubleshooting for PS4 but apparently now my copy of NFS Heat just freezes every time I get to "Connecting to EA / Establishing connection" and never advances any further.

For context this started happening after my game stopped loading mid-way into joining my own solo lobby; then the game ended up soft-locking so I had to force close it. After force closing it the console tried to load up the "error report" but ended up soft-locking as well while trying to load it up so I had to shutdown my PS4 and even that soft-locked as well. So I had to end up holding down the power button on my PS4 as a result. After rebooting the PS4 the error report finally loaded and now here I am, stuck on the start screen because every time it gets to the "Establishing connection" screen it just freezes and never goes forward.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game doesn't help. Someone else on PC apparently has the same issue on the EA Answers HQ and hasn't had anyone respond to them with a potential fix.

I really need answers to this. I really do not want to revoke all the positive things I've said about this game because of one singular glitch.

I just realize how easy it is to win races when you realize how much the AI sucks at taking turns  They can keep up with you on straights but boy when its time take them turns

EDIT

Almost done getting all the ultimate parts and i got my p1 gtr at 400+:cheers:

The new update suck. No more atmosphere on start.

And it apparently doesn't help the loading time by a ton.

That update was complete useless imo... I had no long loading times and they fixed them by killing the atmosphere lol

I'm pretty sure they do, yeah

Though considering you're in a 400+ P1 GTR you should be fine getting them lmao
Cool

Also found that you get to keep the part that you win even if you get busted by the cops so that's good cause i suck at losing the cops on heat 5 :(

Try heading to the observatory. There’s a small section that has a huge jump that the cops almost always crash out on (you’ll know you’re there because there’s a lot of solar panels around the area).

Failing that, the docks are great for losing them as well

Just tried a 5 and won it no cops behind me so i was feeling lucky and tried the 3 and finished it no cops behind and to my luck finished right next to my safe house :D

Thanks for the advice @TS050

I have question, 918 spyder goes with Ultimate parts from the start, on stock Hybrid engine. But there is an option to buy more powerful, but the same engine, and from the looks it seems it doesn't have Ultimate parts installed. So if I buy this engine, will I lose stock ultimate parts, couldn't use it on the new?
There also petrol engine to choose, 'course with more hp, damn, game makes me want all three to look it up:lol:

Yeah, that's how it works. No way you can move the parts that wouldn't have anything else to replace em.

Done all ultimate parts normal and + done

Final specs on the gtr

9.8 - power
10 - high speed
10 - acceleration
10 - nitrous

EDIT

Holy cow the srt viper is all spec 10 and is hitting speeds of over 240 mph

So I decided to do another night run to boost the crew rep to get that sweet FXX K, but maybe not in this lobby...

EDIT: Then I thought 'Why not try 'em out?', turns out they're definitely glitched and there were Heat 5 Corvettes just roaming around. Most of them have a lengthy delay in their reaction to you. I had to bump one about 5 or 6 times just to get it to do something. Made it back with a ton of rep though.
