I'm not gonna lie, NFS Heat is the least intuitive racing games I've played since Burnout Paradise :boggled: So many things were unexplained initially but I've got to grips with it now and like Burnout, it's an absolute joy to play.

woah. I didn't know that.

So after 50 lev rep. You can do it easily and head to the nearest Police Officer? xD

You can, but it is not ideal since you lose how much you bank from the race (you need to return to a garage to claim your winnings), as well as the fine you have to pay for being caught.

I can't remember seeing anything about it, but were there drag races? If not, maybe they'll come in an update like they did for NFS 2015.

If I'm being honest, I doubt this is the end of Heat. I expect it to expand in various ways. There's no way I can see Ghost/EA letting the positive feedback on the game fall to the wayside.

I think they straight-up said there'll be updates, including DLC car packs. So between the updates to both add DLC and free content patches, I think there's a lot that we could see added/fixed before we see the "final version" of NFS Heat. In fact, I can't recall there being any recent NFS game that didn't have some form of post-launch support - both in free updates and paid DLC.

Speak of the Devil:

Here's the NFS team after the announcement that Forza is getting back Toyota.
Here's to hoping?

Really hope that NFS manages to work something out with Toyota just like Forza did, I hope EA spends as much money and lawyers as needed to make this happen :D

Apologies if this has been stated before or asked before, but does NFS Heat have a garage limit? Or is it like in Payback where you can buy all the cars and put the ones you don’t use in the storage?

There's no garage limit, and no "storage" really. You change cars on a sort of list screen. Your currently selected car is shown in the center of the garage and random other cars (either yours or your crew's) are displayed around the rest of the garage.

Apparently there are "abandoned car" files with Supra mention in it, possible for it to return as part of live service?

Pretty sure the story missions use the same naming structure.

"c4_cargo" = Chapter 4, which is the final chapter in the game. Not sure what the second number is but the final mission/cutscene in the game is named "c4_cargo_s09_10_finale". Use that information as you will.

If only the drift handling was that good as well....

I've waited with the drift events 'till i got some elite parts.
then for my S15 I didn't buy the V8 (the last engine in the row) but went with the VR38DETT mated to a 5 speed. i still suck at fluent drifting, but i can easily do all the races, still have to start with the challenges, altho i 3 starred some of them.

Hello there!
Yesterday - while customizing my WRX STI - i found a "Part Set" including various body parts, which can be installed at a time. Has anyone seen a list of cars, such a Part Set is available for?
Thanks
Markus

The R35 GT-R has a Part Set for the Ben Sopra front clamshell, I believe the BNR32 has it for the Bee*R 324 conversion too.

The Subaru BRZ has a Varis part set available.

that's interesting, maybe it is a cut mission or something since it is s05 while the finale is s09.

One speculation I read on Reddit was that T10 saw the dip in activity in Forza Horizon due to the record number of players of NFS in the first week, and used their large budget to strike a quick deal with Toyota to get their cars back in the game to restore interest. It's a plausible theory considering Forza has the resources to whip up some quick models ready for use.

I really doubt that’s anything that happened. I really don’t think there’s anything quick about licensing deals like this.

its more likely that a contract ended with someone else and they’ve been waiting for it to happen for some time. If any of this was going down, it was probably well before NFS even released.

Spend a few nights on races for rep and money, then went and did a few story missions tonight. My Level 250 Mustang is doing pretty well in all the events that it's been thrown in, but I might have gone way overboard speeding through the Campaign Missions.

Party Crashers put me in a very bad mood. You start out Heat Level 3 and because of how the police are programmed, they escalated to Heat Level 5 really quickly. I put up quite a fight, but they got me in the end. It's so frustrating getting into police chases in this frigging game. Finally beat it, but boy did it piss me off.

I think I'm gonna spend some more time grinding Rep and hopefully beef my Mustang up more because I think there's going to be much more intense crap thrown my way. I'm at Level 25, just beat Upload. Next mission won't unlock until Level 30.

I'm playing on PS4 and the game has crashed on me 5 times today. I'd say its crashing once every hour, at least.

Glad there fixing this because of this i lost over 1.5m money last time i sign in to psn and nfs heat

Inventory sync error

There were rare cases where upon choosing “Play Solo” or “Play Online”, players would be prompted with a message that their local and online inventories do not match, and asking if they wanted to sync them. In a few cases, when choosing yes, Bank and cars would disappear, while story progression and Rep level remained.

We’re sorry this happened - it should now no longer occur, and players should find the Pre-Order and Deluxe cars again in the dealership to purchase for 0 Bank.

This is 🤬 right there friend.

One will have to be really soar to type something like this up on the internet. Heck, I'm starting to see some people assume that's what happened when IN FACT it didn't, and not of them can't prove otherwise. We can only assume it was after the contractual agreement between Toyota and Gran Turismo has ended, which allowed T10 to finally obtain the license from Toyota themselves. Them getting the license doesn't mean it's to combat "the success of NFS Heat" or whatever nonsense other people are coming up with on the inter web. But instead, is them getting Toyota to be featured in Forza games once again.

It also doesn't mean EA won't ever get the license, but they will at some point. You just have to be patient and see what happens next, cause it could come. The fact that Toyota is starting to make a come back in Forza first (a western game) with both Lexus and possibly Scion, should mean good news for all of the racing genre, not just NFS.

While I agree with you and as I mentioned it was just a speculation, let's not be naive and pretend that this is still not a business, and corporations will do things like this and worse to get the upper hand on one another.
I'm hoping that was not the case but it is still also not wrong for someone to throw it out there, regardless of how likely/unlikely it is. It's the very same reason why this problem came up in the first place: car manufacturers potentially being biased with their licenses to some game makers, regardless of their reasons to do so.

On PS4, hold down the R3 stick; a press is a snapshot, a hold is photomode.

There are so many bits of the UI that are underexplained. Like, why do some of the races I've definitely done have yellow exclamation marks instead of ticks? Why does my car sometimes have a pink icon that looks like an engine, even when the health bar is full?
I just found out you can turn your engine off by pressing L1 and square

I think it’s naive to pretend that with NFS barely being out less than two weeks and within that time frame T10 and PG acquired all the licensing required for this to happen. It’s not the case, so you can rest easy my friend. They’ve been after Toyota long before NFS Heat was even an idea I would imagine, before even the most recent Horizon being out.
