He clearly skipped the question.
Also what happen to 12 player consoles?
You mean she don't you? ;)
I don't know why you came to that idea of 12 players on console, yes they announce it like that yes but if you played HP you would expect it by now 8 player lobbies.

The way they always promoted it was 12 players. That is an huge change from Paradise and Hot Pursuit. That's an low blow to take away that at the last second. Also AOS you have your orange text why can't I have my magenta? Well luckiliy the speed tour will be next week and I'll have a chance to play it there. I'll confirm on the player count thing. Any questions people want me to ask while I'm there?

Full multiplayer details straight from the official website.
And it all starts with Speed Level 1.
Get online and start competing for score or session the single-player game to rank up. Literally everything you do earns you Speed Points, so whether you like cruising the streets, exploring and beating your friends’ records, racing, finding new cars, beating the Most Wanted Racers, jumping, drifting or speeding through the city, you’re always, always earning. And everything you earn makes life sweeter in multiplayer, via access to faster and cooler cars.
And the more you play, the better it gets. Each car has a stack of Milestones for stuff like driving 10 miles, drifting 5,000 yards or getting 10 Takedowns. Beat each car’s Milestones to unlock Modifications, like Reinforced Chassis, Re-inflating Tires, Impact Protection, Powershot Nitrous or Track Tires.

Open World
A Connected Open World permeates everything you play in Most Wanted, multiplayer included, and takes in the sights of the city, from the Ripley’s Point power plant to the industrial arenas of Callaghan. You’ll experience dense downtown grids and sweeping hillside routes, littered with Speed Cameras, Jumps, Billboards and Shortcuts. Even in multiplayer, every time, speed and distance record you set is captured by Autolog and broadcast out to your friends’ games.

Meet Ups
Every event starts with a Meet Up. You score bonus Speed points for getting there first, so knowledge of Fairhaven City is key. Once you get there, you’ll experience race starts like no other driving game. No grid. No false starts. Just jostle for position watch for the start and boot it. Time your move right, and you’ll start ahead of the field. Get it wrong, and you’re a sitting duck for friends and rivals that don’t need a second invitation to take you down.

SpeedLists
Most Wanted’s multiplayer comes in the form of SpeedLists. Get online, start a game and we’ll serve up 5 events made up of Races, Speed Tests of Challenges. Could be anything from a simple Team Race, to a high-score event based on drift, to a co-op challenge that has you jumping your friends’ cars on a hard-to-reach rooftop. You can even create your own custom SpeedList and play it in a Friends Game. Whoever racks up the most Speed Points by the end of the SpeedList wins.

Race / Team Race
You love it. We love it. It wouldn’t be a Need for Speed game without spectacular races. And that’s why we’ve got tons of them. You know the drill: hit the gas in the worlds’ fastest cars and hang on for dear life. Score based on your position. In Team Race, we split the field into two teams and invite you to finish first. It’s all about Speed Points. You score based on position, but you also score for Takedowns, drifts, near misses and airtime. We even let you tag a member of the opposite team and bust out massive bonus for Takedowns on those guys. Finish the race first and it pays off to 180 the car and blast it back down the route picking off rival racers for extra score.

Speed Test
In Speed Tests, you get 90 seconds to set a high score. It can be anything from hitting the longest jump or drift to clocking the fastest speed through a Speed Trap or the fastest time between two checkpoints. Try taking down your friends during the race to freeze their scores and protect your lead. We call this Elimination.

Challenges
Finally, you get one or two-part co-operative Challenges. All players score towards a single goal but the best scoring players still earn the most: hit 5,000 yards of drift, accumulate 2,000 yards of jump distance, access a rooftop or Jump over each other. Anything goes!

If each car has their own milestone, does that mean we have to drive each vehicle to unlock the mods for each car?

Also, I hope there's enough challenges to play. Or else I'm going to get bored quick.

I have to agree with you here. I always recall them stating that the console versions were 12 player... although it does make sense that it's only 8 since both Paradise and Hot Pursuit were 8. I have no problem with 8 instead of 12, but it would have been nice if they said it was 8 from the get go.

The multiplayer sounds great though. One of Paradise's problems was that the online had no structure, so if you didn't have a good host constantly serving up challenges/events, it would get a bit boring. The SpeedLists feature will make it much easier to get into some fun online action :)

I also like the milestone unlocking for each individual car. I usually try out every car anyways, but having that little extra incentive to do so is nice 👍

Cool thing about milestones. From the get go I have a feeling to replace the gold/plat liveries will be a custom paint job you get for only maxxing a car out. Show you stuck with it consistenlty(Must resist, talk about.. ACR) So the question is now, what are you doing first? Online or single player? Or we can discuss what will be the starter car. I say the HF Intergale.

Also any question y'all want me to ask why I'm at the tour thing next week?

Where's the damn demo?!

Check the speed tour locations and dates. I know they need to give some details soon as some dates are coming up soon and I need to know. Call your Gamestop and Walmart they have more details. Also been looking at the vid again and said to see the Lancer isn't FQ400. Bummer. Now unless the Subie has less responsive mods it will walk the Evo.

So does the PS Vita version come out the same day as the Xbox and PS3 versions? I'll probably be getting that version.

A week ago there was a rumor that the vita version would slip to 2013. The news was on a Polish EA site. Videogamer.com has contacted EA UK and EA UK confirmed that the Vita version will come on the same day as the other versions. BTW the Polish EA site has been changed to the 2012 date.

tnx for the heads up. Will tune in :)

edit:
AWESOME!!!!

Vita version is exactly the same as the thing we saw during presentation. Except only 4 multiplayer. But the asynchron multplayer will back that up.

I couldn't make it on time to see the presentation, what did I miss exactly?

Spectacular gameplay, I think it was the ps3 version because on stage they had an old big fat shiny ps3.

The showed the racing throught city at night with rain and during daylight. The city is really I mean really nice. And it appears to be really big as well. Lot's of infra structure. You can drive anywhere.

Customization is not visual, only technical bits to your car. And that can be done while you're driving.

Afterwards there were questions, and I am pleased they emphasized the Vita version will be the same but just cramped into the small Vita.

Day 1 buy. Absolutly.

Edit: you can watch it again nog on yt.

I'm definately impressed with what I seen, day 1 too.

Yeah, I absolutely loved what I saw and heard from the Eurogamer Expo Live Stream (except from the godawful framerate on YouTube - probably it's just me). Day one.

No the frame rate was lacking. Live events. Oh well. Cannot complain though. Perhaps day minus 2. Over here in the Netherlands games are usually available 2 days before the street date.

Wait, hold on. I have a financial plan for you. Don't buy Halo 4. :P
Financially I have no problem buying both games or any amount of games I want. But with this only coming out 1 week before Halo 4, I know I will only play it for a week. I cant see myself playing much of anything else after H4 comes out for a long time. Well as long as its a great game. If its not good, then I will buy Most Wanted 2012.

However I will be playing MW2012 the entire week I have the rental for sure. Really looking forward to this game.

Maybe I've been tuning into the game for so long, but I'm not even surprised at the cars selected for the top 10 MW.

Still concerned about car balance. Do like how each car is to provide a different experience though.

You're getting way too obsessed with balanced choices...why don't you be productive about it and contact Criterion? :odd:

Yay for official day/night confirmation. Looking forward to more handi-cam footage leaving the expo.

Also, trophy for getting busted... Haven't seen an award for failure for quite a while.

Good to see the Koenigsegg high on the blacklist in recognition of its performance, though this probably means that it can't be found lying around.

Seems that the fastest car (in terms of top speed) lying around at the start will be the Viper or ZR1. Unless Criterion pulls a Hennessey or a CCX or a GT2 RS etc, on us.
