VERY small map only about 36 sq miles max (half the size of Horizon).
The single player is VERY short. Estimated at only around 10 hours.

Wow, MW map is incredibly more dense than Horizon one, the map design quality just not play in the same ground. MW '12, like Burnout Paradise, is heaven for explorer, i've already spent 15 hours just smashing billboards and looking for other "collectible" stuff. I've only played 4 races so far...

Just tried it. No cockpit view, no hood view. The bumper view is way too low to the ground. If you like racing using the chase camera, then this is for you. Otherwise just avoid this.

Re the cops: of course they catch up with you. All the cars in the game are in real life faster than any cop car. It's a gameplay element that they try and are able to hunt you down.

I cannot understand people whe say that this is a 10 hour game. If you really thing that way, I think your expections are just plain wrong for whatever reason.

It's tendency and well know fact that haters have the loudest voice. Lovers are just enjoying the game I guess.

Sounds great. Just what I expected. I will most likely enjoy the game either way - whether the singleplayer is approx. ten hours long or not.

Well, i'm playing Horizon in cockpit view (as Forza and GT5 when not in online competitive even), this is just an other kind of game we have here. Sim racers can enjoy MW as they may enjoy FPS or RTS. The first step to do so is to not think MW is about driving ; it's pure arcade fun in cars universe, driving skill won't serve you much here.

To all people who think its 10 hours long; I don't think you grasped the concept of its predecessor, Burnout Paradise. The premise is exploration and doing what you, the player, wants to do. Theres Autolog for every race, so you can go back and beat your friends and ultimately beat them on the Most Wanted list. Smashing Billboards will take time and the Co-Op challenges will take a good while to complete. Most Wanted has a years play value in it, and I'm sure the people who liked Burnout Paradise and this will agree with me.

Ditto, and the stuff to find isn't really out of the way or hidden in really tricky spots. I remember in Burnout: Paradise, I believe I was able to find all the jumps, smashes, etc. without resorting to a strategy guide.

So is this game wheel compatible? Hoping to play it with my g27. If not, itll be a rental. Forgive me if I missed a post but didnt see anyone mention anything about it. And are there in car dash views?

Why cant Forza be cross platform?!
:grumpy:

It is on xbox with my CSR, but IMO it feels better using a pad. I did'nt see any advanced settings for the wheel, only 2 views chase and bumper. it seems like the faster you you go the less ff you have, there is hardly any resistance in the wheel. That makes it hard to enjoy with a wheel. I suck with a pad so I glad I rented it first, and yea Forza 4 & Horizon are definetly better games IMO.

I'm addicted. The chases, the races, the cars... I'm in love with the Raptor quite honestly.
Already onto number 8 on the blacklist I think.

This game is addiciting, i just go to a race try to find more cars on the way, ive almost got the whole map memorized :), the Airfield is badass who agree?

already number 5 on Most wanted list :P

You don't seem overly impressed with it.:sly:
MW2012 is easily THE most disappointing game of 2012 for me. :guilty:
Maybe I messed up going into this game expecting it to be too much like Burnout Paradise. The advertisements and even the developers stated it was going to be like Burnout Paradise. While it is a little like BP the multiplayer setup is terrible. The co-op modes promote others to lone wolf the challenges. What the heck was wrong with them when they thought it would be a good idea to allow you to "take out" other players while doing co-op challenges? That just makes it frustrating and not enjoyable at all. Co-op is usually co-op and working together to complete a challenge like in BP. In MW2012 they allow you to take out other players which ends up ending the challenge.

More frustrating than that is the fact that you cant just select co-op challenges. The game generates them at random. An example of random is you will have a co-op challenge, then team race, then race, then another race and maybe 1 more co-op challenge. Sometimes you only get 1 co-op challenge. So I am always looking forward to those since they are rare. And then to be taken out right away just ruins those modes. I wouldnt mind so much if we could just select co-op challenges and do 5 or 6 in a row with maybe 1 that allows people to be taken out. But no, its just all random. They really ruined the co-op challenges from BP. Just a huge disappointment. Glad I only rented this. They will need a miracle to keep the community active in this game. Really nothing else to say. If some of you are enjoying it thats great but this is THE most disappointing game for me of 2012. :grumpy: BP was a much better game by a longshot especially the co-op challenges.

They don't make any decent NFS games anymore.

Why don't you guys who finished the game/ dislke the single player content just spend more time competing against each others' records like Criterion intended? This will force you to make the best of the game rather than simply "playing" what you already know. I'm sure you'll find a lasting appeal from this than you would playing by yourself.

I'll give a week or two before running a time attack competition. I ask that you guys participate for a few events before completely dropping the game, just to get a sense of how competition affects your perception a game.

This. I'll take part in that, I think this is a game I'll be competitive in.

How does this game play with a wheel (g27)? Is there some sort of force feedback?
I want to pick it up tomorrow and help my brother learn to drive with the wheel.
I know this will be no GT5 or Forza handling wise but I played NFS The Run with my wheel and the same kind of feeling would be acceptable.

Will try this with wheel (G25) tonight and let you guys know. Not sure I look forward to it, with the bumper being literally down on the bumper, and driving wheel in chase view feels even more awkward.

Has anyone beaten the Ambush in the Raptor? I almost got gold but ended up reissuing the chase and getting busted after 20+ minutes :/ Exciting and fun, but aggravating.

So aside from the 9 other jackspots to get from beating MW cars, I have 6 more jackspots to find. :grumpy:

You find the H1 yet? I swore it was in the game/trailers but I can't find it anywhere, but i still have over half to find.
Apparently there's also a Focus ST, Cherokee SRT8 and a M3 GTR?

Edit: Seems they are there, along with the Charger for online use only :/

Great, Playstation started up slower than usual, then the game got stuck and now it's starting a new game overwriting my previous save game :ouch:

Do you have a screenshot of that?

I Think it was removed?

I hear music even though I don't have Burnout Crash.

He just means that people who played Crash! Will recognize the music => Easter Egg, otherwise it's just music to those who don't know about Crash! 👍

Online only cars? Where do they say this? I've been looking for the Hummer and ST and still havent found them. Also what are the driving test for the Charger? I looked at my car list online and don't have none except for the Charger. I'm level 45 aswell.

ouch, phat model?

At least you get the enjoy the brilliant opening sequence.

I was chatting with one guy from the NFS Staff and he told that the Hummer H1 is in fact unlocked online which means that the Dodge Charger SRT8, BMW M3 GTR and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 must be online unlocks too.

hURLEy (Me)
It's a small car list true but there is some variety. The problem is that they advertised the Hummer H1 and now it's only on the iOS version, same as BMW M3 GTR.

NFSTorque
I thought the hummer is available online?
