I hear you i dont think its a bad game just lagging on some elements then again whaddya expect from racing game makers that cant put manual transmission in a racing game IMO

Just because it's short doesn't mean it isn't fun while it lasts though.

Just saying. ;)
Thats why its a good RENTAL. Most people will be throwing this game aside in a week. I have been looking forward to this for a LONG time and was soo excited. This might be THE most disappointing game of 2012 for me. :guilty: And thats coming from someone that loves Criterion and loves Burnout Paradise. This feels like a game that would have been out before Burnout Paradise and loved Hot Pursuit. I just dont understand what the heck happened with MW2012 but its a massive failure. Feels more like a demo. 👎

The way the game has been set up, will it be possible for Criterion to add further events either online or offline? Or a Surf island DLC addition?

So is this game wheel compatible? Hoping to play it with my g27. If not, itll be a rental. Forgive me if I missed a post but didnt see anyone mention anything about it. And are there in car dash views?

Why cant Forza be cross platform?!
:grumpy:

I just hope they add any DLC to the PC version...EA isn't very good at that. 👎

Here's the DLC they need:

-Map Extensions (maybe the highways and city areas)
-Muscle Car Pack (not modern, classic!)
-JDM Car Pack (hey, wheres my 370z?)
-Euro Exotics Car Pack (More Lambo's/Porsche's)

Burnout Paradise was very good with DLC, so lets hope that carries on to MW.

Forza may one day come to Windows PC's, but I can guarantee you that in this lifetime it will never be made for PS3.

And there is no dashboard view.

Also, is anyone else hoping for a Shift 3 made by Criterion? It would be interesting to say the least...

They would have to at least double the size of the map for it to even be worth the effort. And even at that point it would only be the size of Horizon. I honestly thought maybe the map opened up later on or something but nope, its just VERY tiny with very few roads. Only 41 cars doesnt help much either. For those that are enjoying it thats great but for those on the fence, do not set your expectations high at all, or just rent this. Otherwise you will have buyers remorse for sure. There just has to be some free map expansions or something. If there is it better come out very soon or this game will be dropped instantly.

I asked this question earlier...do u guys know if u can set the game time to real time on your console like in Burnout Paradise? I thought that pretty innovative and cool. Havent seen sumthing like that since Madden and i kno you can do it in GT5 but thats only on certain tracks...hope one of you can answer this thabks

Well, I can tell you that you can't on the PC version.

I'm curious by what people mean when they say they have finished single player. If you have blitzed through the top 10, I would agree the game is short, this is like how you can finish Fallout 3 in six hours if you ignore all the side quests and just go through the story line. Remember that each car has five events to do though I'll admit they aren't long events.

The car list's number and whether it is large or not kind of comes of as subjective in a way, IMO. I remember there was a time racing games with licensed cars only had totals around 10 in the whole game and no one really cared, I kind of "blame" Gran Turismo for raising everyone's expectations that car libraries in video games have to be in the hundreds or else they are "too small". So I would say yes, in comparison to certain other titles out there most NFS titles have car lists that are much smaller, but on the whole I don't know if "small" would be a correct way of looking at it.

I don't think the number of cars is the problem. I think the real problem is how everyone is used to unlocking cars/saving up in-game credits to buy them. MW2012 throws everyone off by making 90% of the cars free and instantly (well, almost instantly) available to the player. And technically every car is free; just win a race and take down the MW car and it's yours.

Does anyone else think the Crown Victoria Police car is oversized? I mean, it's huge. It's practically bigger then the Veyron SS... (in the game)

I find the police are on steriods, they can keep up with about every car, they accelerate like they have a v12 with turbos....

I don't know about you that have the Slim Jim code, but it seems bugged. For the free Charger online, I used it and it was fine to race with....until I went to the car milestones in multiplayer. Everytime I would scroll onto the Charger SRT-8 car milestone tab, it would freeze my game constantly. I wonder if any of you have experienced this as well?

I just uninstalled it to be honest. I'll unlock it the normal way I guess lol.

Actually, i must've checked something different. Your right, it does freeze so it's not just you.

Yea, I called EA today about it. they told me it wasn't a known issue yet, but they are forwarding it to the developers as we speak to find out what the issue is.

The YouTube community isn't the brightest in the world.

Anyway, going by some of the posts in here, I'm glad I got Forza Horizon instead of waiting to buy this game. A short career mode isn't a good sign to me. I'll still get Most Wanted, but it'll be a while before that happens.

At least you guys don't have the red blinking light... :( Especially getting it on the day you get the game...

Anyways, an interesting note my brother gave me that I'm not sure if it was mentioned before. But if you turn down your own music, you can actually hear music coming out of the cars at jackspots. Apparently they have their own music playing in them while parked, so you can hear it if you don't have your own music going. Sorry if it's already been noted. :dunce:

The music the cars play is actually taken straight from Burnout Crash. It's a neat little easter egg for those that actually bought that game (like me) :dopey:

wow, what negative comments. I must be crazy for enjoying this game on both ps3 and Vita.

Fun people, not realistic stuff. Each their own.

Meh, this game is rubbish. No matter how good you are it won't matter at the end. You can finish one race on last place in 2 minutes, next time you can be first in 4 minutes. The AI adjust to your performance, if you drive slow, they drive slow. The only thing that matters is that you have to be fast in last 30 seconds of the race, that's all. If you outrun the cops ... well you actually cannot outrun them because they will be on your tail even if you have a Bugatti and they have Lada Samara.

They don't make any decent NFS games anymore.
