I dislike the Veyron. Too much popularity amongst the masses. Same goes for the Aventador.

When I mentioned the Veyron SS, I was talking about how horrible the handling is at top speed. Besides, Veyrons and Aventadors are so over-rated in this game anyways, I feel the Huayra is quite under-used most of the times in the game.

This is my first post on this forum, but I been following this site as a lurker for quite sometime.

I'll give my thoughts on this game as I've been playing it since it's release. (PS3 version btw)

Graphics: Really well done, the cars and the world look fantastic, it almost feels like this game was meant for a next gen console.

Sound: Superb, for once a racing game that pays a lot of attention to the immersion factor, The cars scream/roar through the streets and sound very close to their authentic counterparts.

Gameplay: Very well done, this game keeps you coming back for more, specially on the multiplayer side, I think this would be better with friends you know though. I don't like the co-op challenges very much, I just wanna race. so that kinda gets in the way of my fun. The cars have their own handling even if it seems hard to believe, each car takes some getting used to, I like that.

The single player is too short, I beat the 10 most wanted with the Lamborghini Countach on my first day of playing =x. I just racked up points in multiplayer and then went straight to the top 10.

I wish the car list was a bit more but hey, they probably will DLC new cars as they did with NFS HP:3

Presentation: Down right hilarious, Storehouse steakout event or whatever, cop cars rolling in a giant wheel, wtf? then the pyramid intro one, that is ridiculously funny. Otherwise very cool and is fun to just watch that non-sense for the lols.

Overall I give this an 8.5 out of 10. I feel the multiplayer modes are rather lacking, some of the events feel repetitive after doing them enough times, however if you find a bunch of people you know that play this game then your in for a good time. The customization could use a bit more, I don't see why criterion, and so many others feel the need to just do away with customizing your vehicle, we are in 2012 it shouldn't be that difficult to add some decent options in, I'd have preferred tuning your car like it was in the older NFS series, even in 3 you had some pretty nice tuning options.

I don't know why they won't allow me to install my game either, it runs off the CD and that causes performance issues that really bug the hell out of me when im driving around, every so often the map doesn't load properly and I end up falling through the map.

I have hit the level cap of 71 for MP, I'm nearly 100% done in SP. There is this concours thing I see but I have no idea what it does. And does anyone notice how they took out some paint jobs, like in one of my loading screens I see Metallic blue Aventador, and there is no blue Aventador in the game.

Btw a tip for people struggling with levels, How I leveled pretty quickly was I beat all the challenges for every car in Singleplayer while signed in to autolog, so those points stack with your MP levels, by the time your done you should be level 50 if you haven't played a few MP matches already.

My car choices are, Sports: Lamborghini Countach, and just the Countach in general.

Exotic: Pagani Huayra, that thing handles so insanely well I'm amazed.

I am not using Origin. Regardless, you can tell Origin not to download updates automatically.

If you aren't using Origin then you aren't playing the game, Most Wanted requires an Origin connection to activate.

I'm not sure what you mean by "consuming less", but Burn Pro can run for a LOOOOONNG time. I've yet to see how Powershot Pro is like.

It also bugs me how they don't tell you how you're progressing for pro mod requirements. It tells you the number of takedowns and jumps you need for colours, but not pro mods and that, again, is something Criterion totally didn't think about; I have to do 50 Powershot takedowns, but I don't know how much I've progressed. Even worse is the jumping distance.

That. Burn Pro goes for a looooong time. I feel no difference using Powershot offline and online though. But that could be me because I rarely do ever use Powershot offline.

Does anyone else find the loading music very, very bad/irritating?

I know right! I thought I was the only one! :yuck:

I already had custom soundtrack going a day after release. That's not to say I like my music more; I run a series of electronica, rock and hip hop tracks, anything that's got a thumpy beat, edit them through a lowpass filter so it gives the impression that music is being blasted from the car with the windows done up. I got the idea from Burnout Paradise and been doing it since. I honestly rather hear the cars but some low volume music is better than nothing.

Haha, it's as if it's taunting you, and constantly nibbing at your head. God, it's so irritating!

And I do have to make a custom playlist soon. Or I can just use the one I used in NFSHP. But the songs are my taste 2 years ago, so... Anything to recommend?

Well guys,I'm calling it. After my mad dash thru concours there is no BMW or Hummer as I dreamed to unlock. So as of now those two remain a mystery. The BMW bugs me as it's in the fricken LOADING SCREEN!!!. (The one with the Blue Aventador it's behind the red Huayra) I did get a cool plate however.

Also ever since I concurs I've been having a glitch where after a playlist ends it would freeze my game. Too avoid it I have to hit guide during that part. Also for any who are planning to reset when you do leave your mods on your cars as when you get them back they will have them equipped still while it says there locked.

I've only had one freeze and about 8 really laggy event transitions so far. I really don't get how it's difficult for the programmers or the console to stop an event, view some numbers and names, and then go back to regular play. Honestly.

I'm actually kinda disappointed with the game. I've been playing it for the last few days and am having the same problem I did with HP3: it's fun while the main game lasts (I'm not into online gaming), but afterwards I know I'll never come back to it. To this day I still pop in HP2, UG2, and MW1 just to mess around with the cars or get into some single player races. Because in those games, the cars are fun to drive even at low speeds, and the handling of HP3/MW2 feels too much geared toward 200mph blasting - that's an even bigger problem considering MW takes place in a tight city with concrete posts everywhere, and not long, flowing race courses. I guess I'm an oddity trying to free-roam a closed course, but still :). I don't know what it is, this game just doesn't give me the same feeling of immersion. 3.5/5

*ED. - and I'm not using Origin either. My PS3's not even connected to the internet anymore.

I guess you mean something other than the regular BMW M3 Coupe, because that one is definitely in?

He means the iconic BMW from the original MW. :)

Also, something I have noticed from Billboards/Speed Cameras, The top 3 MW cars (Next up for me is Veyron, taking my time) must be very OP because Im seeing camera times like 220MPH and there is no way that my fully tuned SLS or Atom can get up there!

That's great.

Still not using Origin.

So you are either playing a pirated version of the game or you aren't playing it on the PC. Neither scenario would have even remotely answered my original question.

Same but the Criterion Editor was qouted saying, we built this game up from the online multiplayer aspect, we wanted to create something different as we can't create a sequal to someone else's work, its to hard .........pity as need for speed was all about offline until the last few years.

That's right, they never had a cockpit cam on HP3 but like this game they had the animations of the driver. IMO they are lazy, just because this isn't a sim game it doesn't mean that they couldn't add it.
The cockpits aren't very detailed. If you had a cockpit cam it would look like crappy PS1 quality textures. They only made them look goodish at a distance. Do you really want them to waste time on making silly detailed cockpits?

It will boost you up to the same speed as Burn Pro but in 3 times less the time. It's really potent but doesn't benefit from the catch up as much as the Burn nitrous does so Burn is still better for online races.

Just go into your Driver Details > Second Multiplayer Tab > Pro Driver. It has all the pro mod progression there. I can also confirm double KO takedowns do not count towards Powershot Pro progress since I only have 28 done when I been using that mod for a long time already.

There are ways to bypass requiring Origin when launching a PC EA game.

Doesn't mean it's a pirated copy.

You can't activate the game without Origin though. You need to use it at some point.

So what you're saying is Powershot's really only useful for speedtests/jump challenges where one has to really speed up before the recording point?
Powershot really feels like boosting back in Burnout 2.

It's the second time both the game and the PS3 froze after losing connection to Autolog and returning back to singleplayer mode. Someoen else who's been having freezing issues? It's a 160GB Slim model, if anyone wonders.

Also, is there any way to install the game on the harddrive?

Pretty much but it's very useful on races with little to no straights. Races with long straights will benefit more with Burn Nitrous.
