So, need to go pick up my PS3 copy. How is it? I mean, is the game actually pretty good? Quite a few of my friends have it & love it. I watched the gameplay & it looks cool. But, is it fun/worth the money because I really want a good game to play

Its fantastic. đź‘Ť

If you like multiplayer arcade racing you might enjoy the game, if you're more a solo racer then rent it before to see if it fits you.

Lastly, I seem to have found all the cameras now, and the SRT Viper is SO slow around corners.
Then you just suck with it. I have no problems sliding that bugger fast thru corners.
Just got 3:00.66 on Import Duty with the GTR.

Off Road Pro
Powershot Pro
Lightweight Pro
Aero Pro
Short Pro
How did you do that with Powershot nitrous? That's only good for jumping & killing people.

I have my ways. :sly: But yeah, I use it as the mod suggests: a quick burst of acceleration. Helps me a lot in the last corner and the corner that goes through the warehouses.

Overall it is an awesome and fun game. There are tons of stuff to do in both single- and multiplayer. I doubt you'll be dissapointed.

The promotion of takedowns keeps the masses playing actually. It's the minority that has matured beyond braindead activity such as that. Also because of requirements to unlock stuff like certain pro mods and paints, you need to take down others.
Yeah. Well I'm getting the hang of it now. Though, it can be really infuriating sometimes.

:ouch:
Can confirm this. Have been jumping billboards and setting times all night, no disconnections at all. đź‘Ť
Weird. I'm still loosing connection to Autolog from time to time.

The Marussia is an amazing car. It's like Sonic...as a car(When Blue of course).

What do all your license plates say by the way?

Mines: STEPITUP

Mine's GTDZCORA, Planning on painting all the cars online to Silver/Grey.

I know I keep saying this, but god the Raptor is awesome. I love every bit of the thing, it's like Paradise all over again with my Platinum Takedown 4x4.

Try the Veyron SS without Lightweight Chassis or Track Tyres, sometimes, it is bloody hard to corner around in that.

Also, I've 100% completed the single-player and just need 3 multiplayer trophies to get the Platinum.

IMO the Huayra is one of my personal favourites alongside the Atom, the Mono, the GT-R and the R8 GT Spyder.

FYI: My licence plate currently says "TROLLARC". If you watch any of MinnesotaBurns' videos, you know what I mean. I'd swap later to either "WINNING" or when I'm using the GT-R, maybe I'll type in "TKYODRFT".

My says Cynickal.

Anyway, whoever says the city has little traffic, is a ghost town, etc are freaking blind. There's so much traffic I can't make it to a speed cam without being mauled by 5 vehicles. Of course online has a considerable amount less but the Agera R doesn't unlock until Level 60 online. :grumpy:

@Spoil-t Least I made it to Level 60 with the Agera R unlocked but I'll still use my Huayra.

Also, does anyone want to play multiplayer with me in 6 hours time?

The Agera R is better then that 2 ton turd on wheels Veyron. I hate hate hate that crappy car. No matter what game it's in it's a turd that turns like a turd. It really should come in brown to represent how turdy it is.

Anyway, they need to seriously patch Instant Takedown. Right now it's way way too OP. Even if they are wrecked & you touch them you get taken down. It needs to only last for one takedown & begone.

Can't wait to get stuck into the online soon. Want to get the Offline career just about finished first. đź‘Ť

What trophy was that ? Gold for smashing my car 87 times in a row!
Nothing Personal.

;)

Anyway, I'm still losing connection to autolog way too often. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

So I just got in a few hours of offline last night. I still can't really get deep into the game until I pick up my new TV. I have to say - I love how quick it is to get in and play. It's got all the fun racing without the overdramatic cutscenes from the original Most Wanted.

I do have to say that a few things bug me:
  • Pointless paint sprays (seriously, why do they need to be all over the place? How do they help besides being a shortcut? I'm all for changing my paint jobs, but not 8 times in one race...)
  • Rubberbanding (I know it's an arcade game and all, but come on...)
  • Needing to jump to a jack spot in order to switch to a car (I wish I could just magically do it at the spot I'm at, or have strategic garages like in Burnout: Paradise)

That's it so far from about 2 hours of gameplay. Small complaints for a pretty awesome game. I'm excited for more opportunities to play. đź‘Ť

Origin downloads updates automatically.

The latest patch makes the frame rate better, but when I hit higher speeds it drops pretty bad. I know it's not my graphics card either since it can run just about every other game I have on the highest setting without an issue.

I am not using Origin. Regardless, you can tell Origin not to download updates automatically.

It's awkward that they choosen to not have a cockpit cam in this game because you can see the driver in game with all the animations: you can see him moving the steering wheel, you can see his reaction when you crash, you can see him changing gears...

^ we never got a cockpit cam on HP3 unless it was... what? the PC?
Then you just suck with it. I have no problems sliding that bugger fast thru corners.
I corner faster with the A1.

Spoopface

Nitrous management and planning. I've got similar times on Jumping Jacks using both type of nitrous. It also heavily depends on the course. In the sections you wouldn't be using nitrous such as corners, if that section can be used to build nitrous, then ideally you can use nitrous again- the same place you would have chosen to unleash burn nitrous.

Try the Veyron SS wit-
I dislike the Veyron. Too much popularity amongst the masses. Same goes for the Aventador.

[*]Needing to jump to a jack spot in order to switch to a car.

You don't need to. Pull you the easydrive menu by hitting "right" on the d-pad. To save you even more time, if you set a destination on one event and you find you have to drive forever to get there, just teleport to another jack spot for the same car that's closer. So if I just finished a race on the very east end of Fairhaven and the next event I can do is all the way on the other side, just jump into the car that's closest and it'll save you a few minutes. However, you won't have that luxury unless you've been looking for more cars. I looked for all the cars before I proceeded to start progressing through any events so I can still do this all day. :)

That's right, they never had a cockpit cam on HP3 but like this game they had the animations of the driver. IMO they are lazy, just because this isn't a sim game it doesn't mean that they couldn't add it.

If anyone's lazy, it's the team who works on the online play. This game, HP3 and BP all fall short somewhere in multiplayer mode.

Yeah... Like I said I only have 2 hours in the game and I'm more of a find-a-car, upgrade it to the max, take out MW List, then move on the to next car and repeat. I'm only going to jack spots on happenstance. Hopefully you're right and I'll find more jackspots to make it easier.

It's still kind of a bummer to be able to teleport to you car, but need to drive 4 miles to the event you want to do.
