This will be my last post in this thread;

In over a year and a half, my only goal was to attempt to fill a gap in communication in the most sensible manner as possible, which so far - the vast majority of the community acknowledges and respects - except for a low number of people which has included you. If anything it's not something I've built over one night.

I've always expected skepticism and am fine with it, but given my expercience and past history here it has consistently made feel like you did not like what I was doing and wished for it to be wrong only because you do not possess said information. It would line up with the idea that raw leaks are willingly being allowed to flow around here, but when it comes to me making an announcement it has always felt like some attempts are made to tone it down.

I don't even mind it, but honestly thought I'd come clean here.
You are an external party though and an announcement from you is not a promise by the studio to deliver anything. Things may get postponed or changed or even cancelled for whatever reason, or you may have misinterpreted something. That’s not an attack on you, all it means is that announcements from a third party such as yourself are less reliable than announcements from the studio and as such it’s wise to not get too hyped about it.

To be honest Nenkai was more on point with his announcments than Kaz himself xD were are endurance races promised by Kaz? :D

Can I ask why you feel the need to provide cover for a communication gap? Unless PD employ you, why do their work for them?

I appreciate the information you provide to the GT community. Although Famine should speak for himself, I don't think he was criticising you. It's just that a significant portion of the GT community gets unhinged in their expectations about updates. I frankly find that really tiresome too.

Don't take it personally and take care!

People do things for free if they’re passionate about them… but I know you’re getting on since you’re apparently born in 1901 and I guess living in Antarctica there isn’t much to be passionate about so it is easy to forget things and feel what’s it like to be young and interested in things.

Passion is a great thing, it's why I have huge respect for Modders. (Persona 1 psp HD pack is awesome). However, in this case an active developer who are renowned for poor communication are sitting back while someone ploughs their data to plug a gap based on speculation.

That isn't a passion I comprehend so asked the commenter.

Regarding Antarctica, there's a lot down here, we even had Metallica once 😜

If Oct gets skipped and this "big" update drops in Nov, I wonder if it'll just be the last update we get this year (and potentially until Feb 2024) with locked content being drip fed over the Christmas and New Year period.

Just a reminder that an early November update is possible, but a late November release is not, because of the TBA gap for the Nations Cup.

I think a lot of people appreciate what you do, myself included. Regarding the comment from @Famine, I wouldn't try to infer any personal feelings towards you or your posts either postiively or negatively from what he wrote.

I think his point was simply that PD themselves aren't creating any hype for this update (so far), therefore it's not reasonable to blame them if anyone feels let down by any aspect of the update not meeting thier expectations, as was being suggested by the user he was responding to. Which is a fair point to be honest.

He may or may not (see what I did there), like or approve of what you do, I don't know. But I don't think that particular post was any indication either way.

I don't care about new circuits and new cars, I just want them to fix the Arcade/Custom Race mode

Kaz, we want to choose the car from our garage before starting a race! or add all the cars in Arcade/Custom Race Mode as if they do Grid, Project Cars, Assetto Corsa, Forza Motorsport... That is, all the racing games

Even the old Gran Turismo's did this

Gran Turismo 4's Arcade mode was perfect
