Nenkai (X/Twitter): Kaz is cooking

This will be my last post in this thread;

In over a year and a half, my only goal was to attempt to fill a gap in communication in the most sensible manner as possible, which so far - the vast majority of the community acknowledges and respects - except for a low number of people which has included you. If anything it's not something I've built over one night.

I've always expected skepticism and am fine with it, but given my expercience and past history here it has consistently made feel like you did not like what I was doing and wished for it to be wrong only because you do not possess said information. It would line up with the idea that raw leaks are willingly being allowed to flow around here, but when it comes to me making an announcement it has always felt like some attempts are made to tone it down.

I don't even mind it, but honestly thought I'd come clean here.

That's quite the ludicrous claim mate.

I don't think Famine was attacking you

Yeah, I’m not seeing an attack at any time twitter posts were made. I think Famine been moreso addressing many posts(mine included) to quell expectationswhen where no real information has been given. Especially the recent post.
Those of us participating in speculation, hopes, wishes, off-the-wall theories, ”crowd control”, etc. and just plain banter, are just filling in the time until actual information is posted by Kaz.

To me, it ain’t that serious.

You are an external party though and an announcement from you is not a promise by the studio to deliver anything. Things may get postponed or changed or even cancelled for whatever reason, or you may have misinterpreted something. That’s not an attack on you, all it means is that announcements from a third party such as yourself are less reliable than announcements from the studio and as such it’s wise to not get too hyped about it.

Nenkai is in my view a reliable source most info we get the last year has come to be true, their is no reason to distrust him in my opinion
Nobody is saying that he should be distrusted.

He draws his conclusions from what he can find in the datamined files, that is a good indicator of what’s coming in the future, but it’s not confirmation.

It’s like that datamined car list a while back, many of those cars made it into the game so far, but not all of them.

That’s why it’s wise not to get carried away before there is an official announcement. Not because Nenkai should be distrusted, but because he doesn’t necessarily have the complete picture.

I obviously don't know, but I can't see the course maker working in an online-centric game. Each course would need to be uploaded like liveries and I can't imagine that would be very easy to manage or deal with effectively...

I mean, anything's possible, but whether they see that as worthwhile I don't know.

That said, imagine the current AI on a procedurally generated course? No way would that end well 😂
That’s actually exactly how it was in GT6. You had to upload the tracks from your track editor app, and you could see them in people’s community tab. It was actually a precursor to GTS and 7’s community features and livery/decal uploading. Track files weren’t crazy big, pretty much just point data for where corner/angle/apex joints were as well as scenery, much in the same way that replay files are stored.

Also, the terrible AI we know today started in GT6, and they were perfectly capable of operating on and navigating even the crazy modded tracks people made near the shutdown.

Now now, folks, I think we still have that "TBA" slot for the final Nations Cup Exhibition Series race on November 18th, so I still think an update is coming by the end of the month. Who's to say it won't be on Halloween itself?

I'm also likely reading too far into this, but I wonder if Nenkai's thought on this next update being a possible "response" to the new Forza Motorsport could imply what cars/tracks are coming? More specifically, I've been mostly seeing the new Forza's promo materials - including bags of Doritos - feature the Cadillac V-Series.R, so I'm wondering if maybe we'll get some more recent prototype racers from LMH/LMDh? (Though I still think we have some LMH/LMDh cars that've yet to debut in the real world, like those from Lamborghini and Alpine, and I'd certainly love to see those added.) Or, maybe if not newer LMH/LMDh cars, maybe some other prototypes from the past, like the iconic Toyota GT-One, the BMW V12 LMR, or the Bentley Speed 8.

Now i belive the update will shift to early november, the game needs desperatly a good update, the single player has become very sterile, i would love a gt league but i dont see that happening now with gt7 hopefully with gt8

The 2000 Audi R8 Race car cries in the corner.😏

Remember the Nürburgring update? That was discovered a couple of months before getting in the game. It could be the same thing now.

That’s another thing - whatever Nenkai has found may not be coming in the next update. Could be something for later, like a big Christmas update.

Ultimately us normies won’t know anything till the teasers and patch itself drops.

I don't think Nenkai would phrase his tweet like that if he wasn't confident enough it's gonna be the next update. Before he would usually say things like "that feature is almost ready and may come somewhat soon", but I don't think he ever specifically said "next update", which makes me believe he had good enough reasons to hype people up for the closest update this time instead of being more vague about it.

What exactly is the point of trying to predict ANYTHING?

Ego? Gloating rights? A quest to legitimise a fortune-telling business?

I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

Its all for fun while we wait for the next update it has nothing to do with ego or what not.

I'm just happy that PD hasn't given up on the game and is still trying to make it better. They've already made their money so they could just keep doing the usual 3-4 cars, a track sometimes, a few chase the rabbit events, some scapes, and their sponsored online events, but it looks likes whatever this is is more than that.

...Man my expectations from this company these days...

Problem Is not Nenkai, problema Is PD that doesn' t have any communication with us fans, if they are working on a big update that Will change the game why not anticipate to US with some preview screens? In 2023 Is ridiculous that there are any official Forum for Gran Turismo

If i remember correctly granturismo did have an official forum but sony shut all of them down like 5 or six years ago. It wasn't as poplar as GTplanet. I frequented the little big planet form daily .

They must prioritise bringing the fantastic weather system to all tracks.
Another gamechanger would be Sophy implementation, even if it means 8-10 car grids.
What's fantastic about the track getting wet 30 seconds into raining and then getting dry 5 minutes later?

It would be fantastic if it wasn't sped up like 10x. Cause right now it only makes me hate the dynamic weather system.
