Porsche 911 GT3

I can't say how cool this is. What I can say, though, is that it's not worth US$100,000. It's got more power, sure, thanks to a well-tuned engine, but it's stripped down considerably. It's not the power that makes it fast, but the lack of weight. Okay, I can accept a $10-15,000 premium over a Carrera to make up for the tuning and suspension work, $40,000 is way too much. Of course, I'd still buy one if I could.
Motor Trend's Crystal Ball

Nothing we didn't already know, but they do mention a 371HP Audi S4 (rather than 343HP), and the Audi allroad with a V8. They also seem to think the BMW 1-Series will come to be, along with the M1 (which may very well be my next car...). Buick makes more heinous cars.... Chrylser CS looks too boring to mention.
New 300N, though, with that
HEMI gets a plus. Speaking of Hemi's, the Charger -- and Charger R/T
HEMI -- is coming back. (I love saying that:
HEMI!!!) For some reason, Duesenberg is returning from the dead; not sure why...maybe because of Maybach? But that market is shrinking, isn't it? (Oh, hush up with your recession talk!) And a Hummer H3. Bleh.
* For those who remember the Elise roundup talks last week, MT says the Elise will make it to US shores anyway -- as in, in Lotus showrooms.
Merc SLR is nice; has the looks the SL55 feels, no doubt. Winter date set for Lancer Evo.... Picture of the 350Z convertible looks like the Ford StreetKa, doesn't it? Pontiac GTO will indeed be a rebadged Holden. So much for originality. Subaru not only trumps Mitz, but beats them to the punch with a fall release for the WRX STi.
And, uh, the VW W12 coupe might be made after all. (But is that a
good thing?)
Jaguar: Gay?

Perhaps the E-Type was pointed in the wrong direction after all.
Maserati SUV

Lamborghini SUV, Ferrari SUV, Bentley SUV, now Maserati SUV. What's next? A Porsche SUV? Oh, wait.... Looks like they used the same recipe for the Cayenne, anyway.
Bristol Speedster

That. Just. Looks. Nice. Part Morgan, part Cobra: a total retro topless/muscle car/whatever it is.
Damn I wish I could afford Bristol.
Baby Lambo

A bit like the F360, but certainly a Lamborghini. Nice, but I would hope that the next promo shots aren't in that lime green they keep using.
