New DLC Free Car and Update 2.02

looking forward to the vee dub's XD

would have liked some new tracks but hey...........

Would be cool if these were RM'able too, Scirocco would be pretty sweet I reckon

My only niggle with the DLC is.. Why a 5-door Golf R? :P

Because the Scirocco is 3 door. Who'd buy a 3 door Golf now when you have the much better looking Scirocco which costs the same?

Well the Golf is 4WD, so it's different to drive which could be a reason alone to buy it even if it was a 3-door, it isn't all about how a car looks.
I like the fact the Golf is the 5-door variant though, it also shows it's a completely newly modelled car, not simply an updated 3-door Golf V which is already in the game, not sure the dashboard is completely different though, the Scirocco's dashboard is however.

I hope we can get the real colors for the scirocco.

That vipergreen looks great :sly:

To all of the robot like fanboys; People are disappointed in this DLC because it feels like such a low effort offering. The competition is providing really great DLC each month with 10 cars at least that are all unique and add something to the game.

Sir, I love you.👍

it is nice to see mini and vw added i mean i would also love to use cars that we use all see in our everyday lifes added into the game but for me the only problem is the price

Exactly.

I'm not going to buy this....thing.
How would you call it? It's not even a car pack, only 2 of them are really NEW. And the free one was announced like 8 months ago.

No Super GT version? I'm insulted. PD are full on japanese cars.......so bring it damnit!!!

All this emotion for 4 bucks. Big deal. I take a coffee on the road almost every day, 2 bucks each. 2 coffees less or 5 minutes overtime at work and the DLC is paid. I'm a vw fan since ages, will I buy this dlc? Oh yes!

Wait a second guys, why are 2 cars I want in here? Why was Spa in there when I wanted it? Why did I like all the things given to me?

IS POLYPHONY DIGITAL....

santa claus?

Well to be fair, isn't that Subaru brand new? It sure is beautiful though. Would love to have it in GT5. Ironically, the best new car being added to the game, is that Toyota and it's free in next weeks patch. If they had added it as DLC I would actually have bought it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining, but 3 of the four cars are FF or AWD. Not sure, but I was hoping for some RWD cars so it's better suited for drifting too. Nonetheless, PD has my support because I really feel like they deserve it with all these updates.

Anyway, can't wait to drive the 2012 GTR stock on Nurbrugring, and launching 0-60 in 3 seconds.

Well.... but is a 4WD good for drifting? Regardless, there are a ton of RD cars already in GT5, and unless I'm mistaken, the FT-86 is RWD. May not be easy to drift, but there's something different.

I am getting antsy to get my hands on these cars. Does Christmas ever get here on time?? :P

That GT-R looks Beast and It's not over yet, we need to see what's coming in February, if it's going to be something like this with 4 cars "not that good" everyone will know what to do 👍

It'll be funny if PD make 4 Supercars for 4 bucks DLC and come here to read people whinning about it, "bu...but... I want moar for less"

Wrong, the Golf R is 4WD.

Well I did say FF or AWD. If AWD and 4WD is different in your terms, then I stand corrected. Now that I think about it, I should've said all four of them are either 4WD and RWD.

4WD is certainly good enough to drift, but when I'm using the wheel, I have a much harder time on getting to break traction and get that angle. With the controller, it's certainly easy and enjoyable.

And oh yeah, can't wait to get the FT-86 to slide. Perhaps it wasn't on my mind at the moment cause I was thinking of just the 4 paid DLC cars.

Lol yeah. And certainly, there will never be an update or DLC where everyone is satisfied.

True but the more content you put into a package the higher chance of someone liking at least part of it. With a measly four cars your chances are very small, especially when you know full well one of those cars is one many people are sick of seeing in the game.

Put out a pack with 10 to 15 cars and you're bound to make a lot more people happy, even if they still only like one or two cars of the pack.

Aren't all of the DLC cars FF or AWD?

Yeah, I wasn't sure what the Sirrocho was, so I was certain in only the GTR, Golf, and Mini.

I feel you, and I totally get where you're coming from. It's just that in the current situation, it's really hard to pinpoint on what Kaz and PD is really planning for the future. In a business standpoint, 10-15 cars would really be too much, especially if the fact that their plans is to release DLCs every two months. That can easily get past 50 in a year. Plus, we can't forget that they're also trying to decide which will be saved for GT6. They can't simply give away everything they already have modeled.

Yes, I agree that 4 cars isn't that many, and there has been a lot of GTRs and that the Mini and Golf is pretty similar to what we already have, but what we should be wondering about is what PD's intentions are. For every execution, there's a reason. Unfortunately, PD isn't exactly as communicative as people want them to, so we may never know and people will go on about wondering.

I'm too drunk to read what hardvibes said but that picture is epic and sexy. I'm pretty sure PD will at some point offer RM version of the Toyota 86.

The words epic and sexy are a light way of describing that picture.
