I never said they owe me anything but I can't fathom who else you would blame for poor DLC?

You may not say it but you imply that they owe you something if you blame them. They are in charge of the DLC, you are in charge of your money. You can only blame yourself if you buy it without wanting it. Simple as that!

That makes no sense. It's not my fault the DLC is lackluster and undesirable to many people, it's PDs. I won't be buying it, obviously.

Wow, ...really? I said think about it, it makes sense.

It doesn't matter how much sense it makes, it's still just your guess so basically telling people to stop moaning that previous cars were free because you have a theory why is silly.

Disappointed that we are only getting 3 cars and no tracks after this length of time but I still will be buying all three. The HSV looks awesome, I want to do a no ABS race between the 86/FRS/BRZ, and I will at least cruise around Nordschleife in the GT-R GT Academy. I hope the update is good, especially the clutch change. One of my goals is to learn to heel toe shift.

I never said for people to stop "moaning." Also it's a guess you should look into before speaking to me. :)

No, you said this:

What's with all this "it was free before" business? Did my theory, which was probably right (think about it), just fly over people's heads? :indiff:

Which was basically the same thing. Your guess changes nothing and professing that it's probably right is quite big headed. You don't know anything more than we do.

Which was basically the same thing.

I was wondering about the moaning, not asking it to stop. Turn your argue meter down a bit.

It is big headed, and I don't know more then anyone else, but it's something that should really be thought about.

Maybe PD could avoid this altogether, and have no DLC or support, because that's the only thing I'm getting from all these complaints. 💡
DLC that is good would also work, and wouldn't be the flip the table response that "Well, we just won't do any DLC at all then" is. PD shouldn't expect to be able to release more variations of cars already in the game and not get backlash over it. Not after the second car pack met similar ire, and not after Kaz made it a point to say that roster padding was something he understood people disliked.

On top of that, an assertion like this:

Complaints about DLC taking too long to come out. Then, it gets announced and complaints about it being "the same cars we have already".

Pretty certain some people are complaining just to complain.
Is ridiculous. People waiting long periods of time to get DLC doesn't make it so whatever DLC is ultimately delivered must automatically be loved. The two issues (lackluster offerings and long wait times between them) exacerbate each other. They don't contradict each other.

Ok, so you were basically saying "Why are you guys moaning about the other cars being free, I posted a theory on why they were free and this one isn't which I believe to be true. Therefore it baffles me why you're still moaning, you should all be believing what I said."

Correct?

No. Your taking words I never said. Even though that is your interpretation of it. I'm not sure "believing" is what I'm asking for, just acceptance. It's a good theory, in my opinion, for it to not be considered is terrible. Any scientist wants their theory recognized, which you haven't done yet.

I never said it's your fault, it's no ones fault as long as some buy it and enjoy it. You can criticise the DLC all that you want but as soon as you blame them then you also suggest that PD has an obligation to release DLC that isn't undesirable to those who don't like it. They just don't have that as long as someone finds their DLC worth buying. Sony can blame themselves if it fails but we are in no position to blame them as if it had to be better or tailored to a particular type of GT5 player. Nonetheless, that is what some people do here and it's ridiculous. Just let the money speak for themselves and hope for better days, then we will see if there is reason to place a responsibility, thus blame. I don't think so.

I think you're making this a lot more complicated than you need to. Either that or don't quite get what blame is.

Product not very good = company producing it (usually) at fault, ergo they're the one to blame for the poor product.

^just no....

How could you refuse the HSV?

Because for him its not in Forza, that's why...

Apart from the hsv which i will buy, even though now we can pay separate for cars there is only one car that is worth it's own price I think DLC should just stop now it's making people think pd are rubbish when they are actually really great

I have to agree with this. It'll be sad if PD stops DLC all together in GT6. :(

Agreed... Still amazes me how people can't ever be satisfied. People constantly complain "aww great another Japanese car" and forget the game is made in Japan so figuring that i would expect a lot of those cars. I am buying it and i know of at least 80+% of my friends are going to buy it including me. That's why i always say "don't get your hopes up and get butthurt when your requests don't come" on the "DLC wishlist" thread.

Hummmm no that is your opinion and others who share it.

No offence to them or you but it is your opinions. Just like from your eyes it's our opinion that this game and its DLC is acceptable and good

Still amazes me that people STILL use this as an excuse or reason that GT has so many Japanese cars.

Well... maybe they just haven't adjusted to the global consumer?

No worries. I'm pretty sure PD is saving some of our cars for GT6, but yeah. We should try to not get our hopes up to high anymore for PD. It just gets everyone upset...

Hey, lots of tracks are rumored to be in GT6 thanks to Lucas. :)

Yes, this is a comment that will go down swimmingly I'd imagine.

So because PD finally decided to release a relatively weak DLC update (HSV excluded) people should be satisfied just because? I don't think so.

And the tired "If you don't like it don't buy it" doesn't apply here because I can just as simply say "If you don't like my response don't reply." And ignoring the Japaneses bias (which surprisingly other region-specific developers seem entirely capable of avoiding to some degree), why not other cars instead? Even after explicitly acknowledging that the fanbase aren't keen on duplicates... only to have two 'not-so-new' cars appear sometime after that acknowledgement.

Seems to me it goes in one ear and out the other.

Read above I edited my post. And what other reasoning do you have for it? I am not saying that is a fact and i am not using it as a excuse that's just once again on how you are taking in what I am saying.

Could say the same to you. Just because you are tired of hearing it doesn't make it valid..

 Sorry, couldn't help it. I know its not a joke but just my thoughts.

I honestly think if Forza didn't release so much DLC it wouldn't have the fanbase it has towards its DLC. I honestly in my opinion think Forza is a over glorified need for speed game in DLC wise.

Picture if you will and be honest if Forza didn't exist a lot of people's opinions about GT5's DLC would change. Because from what I have witnessed over the last year is Forza has a huge influence on people's opinions about GT5's DLC

And what other reasoning do you have for it?

That they include a lot of Japanese cars probably has a lot to do with them being Japanese but it isn't necessarily a logical conclusion to be drawn that because they're Japanese they therefor inherently are more biased towards Japanese cars, that's turning it completely around.

That would assume for example a French game developer would automatically mostly include Peugeots, Citroëns and Renaults.
However, if PD was French there would be a huge chance that the majority of cars included were Peugeots, Citroëns and Renaults.

That's business my friend. If a competitor (even not a direct one) is doing something significantly better your customers are naturally going to wonder why you aren't.

Still even if you do pretend the other game doesn't exist people are still going to get confused and bewildered by the GT5 DLC, mainly for it's complete inconsistency but still for it's content. Even if there isn't another game putting out 10 varied cars a month this game has "1000" cars already and they're adding just three more, two of them 90% the same as two already in the game. You don't need better competition to consider that weak.

The moaning is justified to an extent. People want DLC and they want it more frequently than what we are seeing and they want larger quantities of it with fresh material. We are begging PD to take our money and it seems they are reluctant to do so. If at this point it is because GT6 is close then that is fine but give us an announcement, some info or trailer.

Moaning about the price and breaking up the items I don't really understand but each is entitled to his opinion.

Pretty epic. Glad they'll finally adjust the tire wear and wind resistance (no more wild tunes?).

Probably will be a sucker and buy the DLC cars. The Honda sounds pretty epic and I'm curious if the BRZ will be any different than the FRS, but I think I'll skip on the GTR.

Can't wait...

That's not why Forza has such a large fanbase. It's certainly influenced newcomers, but that's far from the largest intake to it's resultant fanbase.

So, try again.

This is of course assuming games the likes of Race Pro, PGR (3 and 4), NFS Shift (1 and 2), TDU (1 and 2) and several other games I can think of off the top of my head didn't have attractive DLC options as well I presume?

Oh, did I poke a hole in that attempt at logical reasoning? A thousand pardons. Ask me again.

Well, no wonder my point gets increasingly complex as long as you say that it makes no sense to you. Bottom line is, it's wrong to blame PD for the DLC just because you don't like it! You can go ahead and blame them but how to do expect PD to perceive it? Like "How wrong we were to offer some DLC that didn't suit everyones taste..." but it's inevitable. Feedback isn't pointless and this is where your wallet has to speak but don't pretend that PD has made a mistake.

Sorry, I'm really not following this train of thought.

All I have to say is if PD utilized their European and North American studios better, they could probably get more work done in a faster pace.
