If any of you guys are still wondering if Scion would be getting it's own dealership then yes, they do.

And for all those that were thinking that new dealerships, with cadillac and Bugatti and whatever else you thought were coming.... I guess you all set yourselves up for disappointment.

For now. Game ain't over yet.

Oh, and if you all were wondering if you could drive on the track online without buying then you're out of luck.

Pics please?! :D

Quick pic from my PVR. Will get some photomode ones up later.

I'm driving the Scion right now.

For the ones asking if it will have different aero kits than the 86: No

Different wheel selection: No

LHD: Yes

Turbo upgrade or SC: No

Does it feel different?: Less tail happy. Could be a placebo effect, but who knows.

Does it sound different?: No. Same sample than the 86.

Does it appear in the dealerships under Scion?: Yes.

Only differences I notice in this car is the analog speedometer which is in miles and kilometers, and the digital speedometer which is in miles. The seats are different as well.

Overall, I'm affraid to say that the car is no different than the 86, nor gives you the feeling that your driving a different car unless you use cockpit cam(like me). At the end, with this car added, now it gives you an opportunity to choose from the original JDM version or the American version. Just like the Infinity G35 and JDM Skyline.

Sorry but that looks really poor. I hope it's just because of your PVR/compression.

It's not. The tracks are just upscaled. The SS looks specially poor, tarmac looks terrible and the background is equally bad. The Road Courses look a tad better, but are still far from a PS3 modeled track.

Are you just talking about textures? With the track being so flat it's hard to say, but it didn't seem like GT4's spiky road surface was present in the Academy. The oval's banking should be a better indication.

Having purchased all previous GT5 DLC and barely even using any of the tracks and cars, I decided to pass on Motegi and perhaps future GT5 DLC as well.

Well that just cements my position, certainly not buying that.

lhs ?

A slight let-down. I thought that there was going to be some discount for PSN/SEN members. Maybe I was mistaken.

Evo magazine recently compared the Toyota GT86 with the Subaru BRZ and claimed that although they were basically identical in most aspects, the Toyota had a slightly different chassis and suspension setup (or rather tune). The GT86 was more tail happy in general and lacks the ability that the Subaru had to change direction in some disciplines and required overall more driver effort and input while driving on edge. They concluded that the Toyota was the better car to drive than the BRZ (they will be doing further, more detailed comparisons in the near future).

After some light reading about the Scion on the web I'm guessing it will differ slightly from the Toyota also and be parallel (even more so) with the Subaru. So no, your probably right here. 👍

Maybe PD fixed the Toyota 86's suspension values for the Scion? So they are identical each end?

You know, I'll have to test them again later, but it seems like if the FR-S has a softer suspension setting, which it would make sense since American cars tend to be that way.

Just did a lap on both cars on the 'Ring
they feel exactly the same
The cockpit is kinda different tho,and it's the wheel is located on the left side(about time a LWD car!)
Other than that it's the exact same car
A waste of HDD space if you ask me:indiff:

Probably. Won't make a fart of a difference in the end though as we will all be buying adjustable suspension for the thing.
